Hi I'm trying to downlowindos 11 on an old laptop that came with windows 7 it's 13 years old laptop the Bios mode on it is legacy , when i open rufus what should i choose for partition scheme Gpt or MBR ?
@@VirtuousTech hi the BIOS I have on my laptop is made in May 2011 so I don't think it supports GPT , so do you think I should choose MBR when using Rufus to download the windows 11 on the flash drive?
Hi, thank you for answering my question, I have another issue which is after downloading windows 11 23h2 on my flash drive I powered off the laptop and connected the flash drive and then powered on the laptop and pressed the esc key many time I got a small screen that gives me only two options to boot the device ,the hard drive and the cd drive the flash drive is no where to be found as an option, do you know what could be the reason? By the way, the bios on this laptop was made May 2011 .
"Easier than you think"? Technical demand after technical demand after technical demand ... . Why not just two ot three actions? Future generations will regard this system as "primitive". Imagine all these stages to switch on a Tv or to start a car ...
Your reply is greatly appreciated. I just wish my original message could have been positive, but technology can at times be very discouraging. Best wishes, Roger.@@VirtuousTech
I've spent days trying this everywhich way, and windows 11 ISO ALWAYS STOPS AT 81.6 PERCENT INSTALLED then "file extraction error" over 7 different ways of downloading win iso, rufus and every which way to Install??? Help
God, I hate those awful A.I. created voices. What the hell is do difficult about having someone actually SPEAK the dialogue? Starting about 02:35, the Rufus configuration is almost impossible to understand (due to that awful A.I. voice). Come on guys... actually SPEAK with a real human voice on the audio track, please! 😱Also please slow down a bit. There's no need to move at hypersonic speed! Thirdly, most people following these steps (me included) have no idea what "MBR" or "GPT" means, so how are we supposed to choose the correct setting? This video could have been a LOT better if any real thought had been put into it.
Informative❤
Thanks 🙂

MBR is compatible with legacy that do not support GPT.

PS Here and now the technology is "primitive" and underdeveloped. Half-way through this "easy" video, I've had to call a halt.
Thank you so much for your comment

thanks for your advice. I will try my best. Please understand, It's still not convenient to record the sound at the moment
You don't need third party software to make a bootable usb drive.
Normally ,third party software don't need. But I need ISO file because when I use new USB drive ,I don't need download again.
