I've seen several youtubers that get the motor unstuck by taking the clutch inspection cover off, and using a prybar on the flywheel teeth, it's a more direct way to do it and doesn't involve welding a bar to the crank pulley, which I've honestly never seen until this video haha
Thats is actually a great idea. I wish I could claim to be a trend setter but I learned it from Sleeper dude. Also we have another video we did it to and she actually turned over. I will put the link below. I wouldnt do it if the plan is to get that motor running and driving. We have plans with the red truck but they dont inlcude that motor stay tuned. Sweet man I'm an African-American teenager into old cars I found an abandoned F100 and it's a 1981 though and I'm going to go ahead and get started on that
Very good. Take some shop courses (a few basic ones if you aren't on an auto body career track. Otherwise get hold of a Sixties or Seventies vintage car guide. Then get into more complicated stuff (emissions valves, fuel injectors, computers) as time goes by. There are some old Army films on RUclips to provide some excellent references. So much has remained the same even in the age of Teslas. All you have to remember is detail and principles and lots of old tin cans for keeping parts. Then mark the spark plug wires with masking tape.
I got one of those for free about 7 years ago. Someone called me and asked me to haul it away. F100 shortbed step side, 1981. White with blue interior. I towed it home, had it running in about an hour, and sold it the next day for $600! It just had a HUGE vacuum leak!
Learned to drive in one of those in 1970. Once i got it in third dad said take your right hand off the wheel and put it on the seat back. Dated my wife in that truck and my right arm was always on her sho ulder. Thanks dad.

@@JMRRebuilders If it werent' for taking the heads off I'd say go with Acetone and tranny fluid and let it soak for DAYS. Sometimes you have to disengage the drive shaft or do like you did and yank the head.
Yall ever use a big pipe wrench sideways on the pulley to break em loose instead of welding a bar on? I've seen that work! Js ✌️from Ohio. Been watching a lot of yalls vids the past couple days. Fun stuff
That wasn't water brother. That was the vinegar that didn't soak down cause the piston rings are stuck to the wall. If you like the truck we have a ton of other f100 videos. We have plans to get her back on the road. Thanks for the comment and support.
Friend of mine that works on race cars filled a stuck motor up with diesel fuel and let it sit for a week and then drained the fuel out and it broke loose when he tried to pull it again

Yeah we did the best we got. The rear ends still locked up the suspensions worn and not to mention the transmission has issues. So we plan on doing another video where we put it back on the road in a unique way. Stay tuned thanks for comment and support

Farmall h sat over 40 yrs wooden block and a sludge hammer got the motor unstuck put back together same head gasket still running to this day

Marvel Mystery Oil, acetone and ATF, disel, heat, Evaporust- try one of those options in the cylinder. You might even try muraric acid or Coca-Cola.

It’s a 240 6 cylinder, little smaller than a 300
It was originally from factory a 240. He replaced it with the 300 for 7 bucks. He got it from the airport they used them in the tugs alot.
