Thank you for being a man of your word and returning to take the previous owner for one more ride. That shows a lot of integrity. You could tell it meant a lot to her.
That was very sweet of you boys to take the previous owner for a ride. Her excitement is a memory you will probably carry with you for a lifetime. Also, you two work so well together, maybe you could invite him to join you in some future videos.
I am happy that its running and driving again.. My comment is not meant negative, I have always been nice/kind in my comments so here goes. Travis, what did you learn from the fire? I have been excited before and just want to try and drive or as many years ago, same kind of truck, parked outside under a maple tree, leaves accumulated between the cab and bed, plus leaves in the bed of the truck... a couple miles down the road and my truck burnt to the ground! It had about twenty thousand miles since new but seldom drove it. I had paid up full price as I bought it new. I lost my truck due to the fact that cleaning out those leaves caught fire and it burnt hot! You had a ton of old rats accumulations in the insides, why wouldn't they pack it under the hood and of course this time, on top of the exhaust. Many videos out there show what rodents do to vehicles so that said, a little patience, a quick clean first so this doesn't happen again. That is a nice power brake, few options as the dual horns was extra and factory dual tanks was a option plus rear slider window. I do believe the engine is the 352, most were as they share same configurations. Truly the better of all their big block FE engines. Again, not bullying you, just advising that patience is a nice virtue. You can bust rings from over fueling, as I am a mechanic from the fifties, thousands of repairs done to these rigs, and my favorite model truck line.
Mice have hanta virus, not rats !and it's when you stur up all the dusty particals and breath it in so just opening the door will do it !!! Always wear a maks
I really enjoyed watching this one Travis!!! So glad you were able to get that fire out. Something similar to that happened to me on my garden tractor a few years ago. I was out in the yard trying to mulch up a bunch of leaves in the fall (I live in the woods). Got ready to take a break and shut the tractor off. Went in the house to get a drink of water and when I went back out, a fire had started where the dried leaves had packed up against the muffler on the tractor. Panic almost set in until I was able to grab something to clear the leaves away from the muffler and stomp the fire out with my feet. If i had been in the house for a minute or two longer the tractor would have gone completely up in flames on me. You also made a huge karma deposit by taking all the trouble to trailer that truck all the way back over to her house to take her for a ride in her old truck. Major kudos for you and your friend for doing that for her. Major score on an awesome old 3/4 ton Ford!!!! Keep doing what you are doing and I'll keep watching!!!! Cool pumps at the end. Was also good to see your Dad again as well.
That was very nice gesture to take the lady for one last ride.. She'll remember that forever... A good tune up and you've got a nice truck... Thx for bringing us along....
Hey Emily..Travis told us to tell you thx..he appreciated the assist..and Bailey seemed like a cool dude..glad to see continued growth of your channel Trav..deservedly so..and like the fact you sprayed the hinges on the hood..so many folks do not do that simple task..prevents damage to hood and hinges..what a truck!
Thank you Jesus for protecting Travis, Bailey and truck from an unexpected fire and placing that kind gentleman there with a hose. Sweet of you boys to take the owner for a ride too. Great video and love the pumps!😊 Good job T
Glad you put your father in this. Since I am 70 and have 2 children.....son and daughter....I so enjoy Every video where you show your beautiful life together. Like gas pumps to....worked at gasoline stations in the late 60s to early 70s. Joe from Smyrna Delaware
I was so happy for the previous owner such a sweet lady, and so nice of the both of you to do that for her she will remember that forever. Good Job Fellas.
Be sure to put zinc additive in that oil or you'll wipe out that cam. Always a good idea to power wash an engine bay after sitting for year's especially with critters living in there. Great looking truck, job well done.
I drove a 1976 F100 for 12 Yrs "1986-98" with a 390 C6 with PS, PB and A/C, In 1993 I had the bright idea of putting a 351W with the AOD in it to get better gas mileage!, It didn't really do much better and didn't have near the performance of the 390!, The 390/C6 ended up going in my 1959 Ford Fairlane! Great Video Travis!
You can also use cat litter, the stuff you use to put in litter trays, for use when oil and other liquids are spilled on the floor, it's great, just in case you didn't know.
Man what a crazy video! Glad everyone is ok. Make sure you have a good fire extinguisher in all your vehicles. Good job in bringing nostalgia into that woman's life.
Nice find! Brings back memories, my father bought a new 69 F250 360 automatic, i like that truck so much I bought a 72 F250 4-spd, drove it until it rotted away.
6 minutes in and I am liking this truck a lot! An FE V8 (360 or 390), heavy duty manual 4 speed transmission, virtually no rust, good completage, nice color combination. It’s got the lots of nuts wheels and brakes. A heavy rear bumper. If the trim is not there on the rear passenger side and box, it’s still locatable. For not a lot of money. I found both the cab corner and bedside trim on my first try. The dash pad is also available, but the ones I found were more expensive.
Great video as always! My grandfather worked his entire career at Gilbert and Barker in Springfield, MA, where those pumps were made. He worked there from the 1930s until the mid 1970s in the manufacturing (smelting) plant. Very cool to see those pumps. Always glad to see your Dad as well!
Love me a good Ford pickup. Great ya’ll went back to give the lady a ride yo bring back some memories. She sure was excited. You should wear a mask anytime you are vacuuming rat feces. Dalton from Pole Barn Garage just a couple weeks ago was hospitalized dealing with that. Please take care, you have family. Love this channel!
Even though I don't know the lady who sold your friend the truck, I want to thank you for taking her for a ride in it. You can tell how much that truck meant to her. Ahe seems like a really cool lady.
Wonderful video about a great truck. So glad you took the owner for a ride. And yes you are correct us in the north east are VERY jealous let us know if you ever decide to part with it because that’s a perfect vehicle.
The timing is to high on the truck. Fords are very touchy when it comes to timing. I believe its supposed to be set at 6 degrees before TDC. Points on .17. That engine is more than likely a 360. You can check it by measuring the stroke. I believe it measures around 3.5 if its a 360.Its around 3.784 if its a 390. A wood dowel down the spark plug hole with the piston all the way down then mark it at the top of the plug opening and measure. Not trying to be a know it all but I've been tinkering with Fords my whole life. Thought this might help since you said you were more familiar with Chevys. I just recently restored a 70 model just like this and sold it. Love your gas pumps also. I really enjoy your channel .😊
i hope you truly cherish the time you get to spend with your dad i lost my first dad when i was 2 1/2 years old my mother remarried when i was 7 to a wonderful man best father a person could ask for lost him in 1989 he was a mechanic and taught me the trade i still miss him every day i now will be 68 this month so spend all the time you can with him when they are gone its so hard. wonderful videos keep doing what you are doing i have just a few videos on you tube am fixing to try to start a series building a off road recovery vehicle its a 20009 ram 2500 hemi chassis plan is to put a 1950 cab and small flatbed.

Nice of you guys to take Rita for a ride in her family's old Ford. Good on ya!
Just a lovely story
The seller was absolutely delighted with her last ride …
So great to see
What a save pulling the lifter back into place with a magnet.
This is one of the best videos yet Travis great to see her so happy to have the opportunity to ride one last time.
What a lovely story from the previous owner, so glad you were able to take her for a ride

God bless you gentlemen for letting this woman have that experience! Great work! Continued success.
One of my favorite eras of Ford Trucks. WEAR A MASK when vacuuming rat poop.
Mice have hanta virus, not rats !and it's when you stur up all the dusty particals and breath it in so just opening the door will do it !!! Always wear a maks
yeah especially when the engine starts up and starts blowing feces about. Hanta Virus does not discriminate.
Definitely wear a mask - Pole Barn Garage guy was very sick recently after clearing rat poop without a mask. No joke!
@@kjh789az Pole Barn Garage almost never wears one... and he smokes... not going to be fun later (I do like the channel btw).
@@VincentGroenewold Agreed! It's a great channel.
What a wonderful video episode and heartwarming to see the reaction of the original owner of the truck. Really a great thing you guys did for her.

You guys are awesome for going back to give her a ride in her old truck !!
You and Bailey got it done Travis. The lady was happy. Looks like pay dirt on the gas pumps. Thank you for sharing! 💯👍👊💕
I love the truck and the kindness shown to the previous owner. Keep up the great work.
Great taking her for a ride,a great moment for the lady 😃😃😃😃😃

So cool that you took the gal for a ride. Love the old rigs and the gas pumps. Thank you.
Thank you Jesus for protecting Travis, Bailey and truck from an unexpected fire and placing that kind gentleman there with a hose. Sweet of you boys to take the owner for a ride too. Great video and love the pumps!😊 Good job T
Travis, it’s nice to see how you take a problem, analyze it and then correct it. Great job. Enjoy watching you fix these classic finds. Keep it up
Keep adding these extras. Gas pumps bring back a lot of memories. My father had two service stations during the fiftys
Thanks Emily for being so understanding... you're a real one....!!!!👍

So sweet to take the truck back and give her a ride in it!!!
Pretty tense moment when it caught fire. This truck clearly has great mechanicals, glad you solved the engine issues. Nice solid truck.
Great video !!! It wouldn’t be a video without dad. I was getting nervous he would not be in this one.
Nice 👍
And really kind to get back to the lady and letting her to feel the beautiful history of her father truck 🛻
Keep going brother
Great. Video. Love. The. Truck. Love the. Story. Kindness. To. Her. So. Great. Thanks. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great video. The fire made it really exciting, but you may not want to add that kind of excitement to other videos. Thanks for sharing.
I was so happy for the previous owner such a sweet lady, and so nice of the both of you to do that for her she will remember that forever. Good Job Fellas.
Great revival, very lucky with the fire !! Great format don't change a thing , like the pumps at the end too. 👍💨💨
Respect for what you guys did.
Definitely feel good story Rita! Thanks for steering Ashley and nicce meeting you Bailey and Leo😊
Awesome video as always Travis and Rick.
Great job 👍 I had a 64 Ford pickup man that thing was a trooper.. 6 cylinder 4-speed. Unfortunately very low geared
I welled up when the lady held the truck, the look of joy was priceless!!!
I almost thought this was going to be a video without your dad in it….good thing you guys went to pick up the pumps. 😀
Be sure to put zinc additive in that oil or you'll wipe out that cam. Always a good idea to power wash an engine bay after sitting for year's especially with critters living in there. Great looking truck, job well done.
Great Video Travis, nice to meet your friend Bailey and Leo. You done right by Rita and God sees these things. Again Great Video Thank You 🙏
Yeah they are 2 cool cats. Glad we did that for Rita
I find all your videos interesting and wouldn’t change anything! Keep up the good work!
Another awesome video of course but I just want to say you did a good thing. You know what I mean. You did a good thing
Good job Emily!! My wife loves helping me too! ;)
Awesome video. I really enjoyed this. It’s cool that you gave her a ride in the truck.
That fire was SCARY, had it not have been for the quick thinking and loan of the hosepipe.......... Great video, well done team.
Yes it would make sense to clean it first. For your health and avoid future fires. Keep up the good work from 🇬🇧
Man what a crazy video! Glad everyone is ok. Make sure you have a good fire extinguisher in all your vehicles. Good job in bringing nostalgia into that woman's life.
Nice old Ford truck, I would love to own that Jewel..
I had tears in my eyes when I saw how excited she got, great. You still have to set the timing by the sound of it and hook up the vacuum advance 👍
Another great video Travis. Just loved it when you took the daughter for ride after you got it running. Keep videos coming. Love the channel ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Really glad that you got it running well, but does anyone else love the sound of that Ford starter when it’s cranking?
Super cool that you did all that for her, that kind of thing means a lot to me
Thank goodness there was a hose nearby too lol
Dude, that is so awesome to learn a thing or two about the owner of the furd. Really brings life into the process of getting er running again
Nice find! Brings back memories, my father bought a new 69 F250 360 automatic, i like that truck so much I bought a 72 F250 4-spd, drove it until it rotted away.

You find the very best projects. Simply amazing.
Now this is a great find! I actually have a few odds in Parts on the shelf in the barn for a 1970
Awesome video! Good finds; fires; smiles and good vibes thanks!

Wow that’s really cool he did his part for America.
Very good video. Enjoyed watching you make the old Ford run again and then you come through my little town and got gas on your way to San Diego
Glad you guys got the truck Running and Driving..
Hi Travis, Love the pumps. Glad you didnt roast the truck.
Class act taking that woman out for last ride ....good on both of you young lads...
I drove a 1970 Ford F100 Custom to High School in the late 70's Short Wide Bed 3 on the tree 302 2V with a Sears Underdash A/C Dad loved that truck.
Great video Travis. I hope you learned a lesson on not having a working fire extinguisher when test driving. Who'd a thunk that might happen?
Love me a good Ford pickup. Great ya’ll went back to give the lady a ride yo bring back some memories. She sure was excited.
You should wear a mask anytime you are vacuuming rat feces. Dalton from Pole Barn Garage just a couple weeks ago was hospitalized dealing with that. Please take care, you have family.

Thanks Miss Emily!

1:14:53 WOW!! Those are some really killer pumps guys! They may be rustly and tired but they really have character!
Nice video. I like to see old Fords.
I’ve been waiting so long for a video on a bumpside and I’m so glad that you are doing it!
i hope you truly cherish the time you get to spend with your dad i lost my first dad when i was 2 1/2 years old my mother remarried when i was 7 to a wonderful man best father a person could ask for lost him in 1989 he was a mechanic and taught me the trade i still miss him every day i now will be 68 this month so spend all the time you can with him when they are gone its so hard. wonderful videos keep doing what you are doing i have just a few videos on you tube am fixing to try to start a series building a off road recovery vehicle its a 20009 ram 2500 hemi chassis plan is to put a 1950 cab and small flatbed.
I love watching your videos! They always show me what NOT to do!😂😂😂😂😂 You think you know alot. You need to listen to your Dad,sorry😊
great great video - her happiness was awesome
the valve to switch tanks you may have seen is on the drivers outside of seat on floor. i had a 67 F250 352 camper special which was a great truck
Love the gas pump content as well.
My all-time favorite truck..
The 250 camper special had 2 batteries. One for engine one for auxiliary power
great content and always love watching whats happening when getting another truck
I'm surprised you didn't pressure wash that motor first, ok, ok.
Need to pressure wash everything before starting work on anything. That fire is why and clean is always easier to work on.
Lucky he was home and had water 🔥🔥🔥🧯🧯🧯🧯

Thank God for snow on the ground !
Even at that , the fuel in the tank was boiling .
It was diesel , so it mostly burned the paint off , but to this day I check for critter nests , ect .
What a good sport of your wife to help you out!
Wow that truck is so nice looking and I’m a Chevy guy. Keep giving us the great vids. Awesome job.
Nice to see a good ole american piece of machinery doing what it was mean to do kudos good job boys.
Nice truck! Very nice gesture to taje her for a ride.
Note for the next nest ridden rig you bring home… clean out the nests before the drive… 😂 I am glad you got the fire out
Great video of the truck and pumps.
Nice job Travis! Cool gas pumps too!
