Exactly the mom no better “I quite I wanna throw in the towel” She wants to throw in the towel after dealing with the boys for what 20 minutes? How does she thinks her daughters feels feel they have to it from the time that they wake up till the time they go to bed.Well having to take care of the housework.
For real! For the observation, the dad was quite literally absent and did nothing for the kids. What’s even worse is the girls are doing this childcare for free, usually if you have Nannies or babysitters watching kids like this, they’re getting paid…
I don't understand how people can even think of having kids until they feel completely 100% ready to do so and have plans and plans in place for them :(
All those girls are are servants to them and nothing else. I want to think that the parents changed but i highly doubt it especially the mom. She really cant seemto put the "girl boss" authority behavior on hold for the girls sake. Some people can't change.
13:31 “ I’m done I give up” ma’am…. You have spent 15 minutes at home. While your daughters are raising your kids what do you mean? It’s too much you’re done.?
I can't believe how snappy the mom got about the daughter "not doing her chores". That kind of nitpicking in household duties isn't about maintaining order or cleanliness, its about feeling in control.
Exactly, and the father is no better. He says the girls 'should get more work done than they do'. He acknowledges that his mother's controlling behavior drove him to go No Contact, but then he repeats his mother's behavior with those girls. No wonder they disowned him.
Funny the mom says "this isn't gonna be an excuse for the girls to walk all over us"...meanwhile the parents have been stomping all over them for YEARS!
And they dont even bring healthy foods for her children these two older girls are clueless how to take care of these small brothers and how can they concentrate on studies 😢 these parents are running out from their responsibilities my gosh dont make babies if you only want to do is work 😮💨☹️ And the younger babies are also developing they should be guided by their parents not the young sisters who are still studying 😑 these parents makes my blood boil
And how the Father just stood there when she fainted and tried to make the girls out like they are the lazy ones, it is just beyond mind boggling, I mean, both the mother and father must have in turn had one or more screwed up parents...@@KerKhent
The most painful part is that mom throws the towel in immediately, knowing that the girls don’t get to do that. They don’t get to throw their hands up and say “I’m done”, because then no one takes care of these three kids. They’re being punished for being born older. They didn’t choose to be older sisters.
In fact, the girls appeared to be endlessly patient and loving with their brothers. That really says something about the character of the girls and the irresponsibility of the parents.
I feel like when the girls said “They’re just acting for the camera.” That they were telling the truth, I bet they leave as soon as possible, You could tell the parents weren’t gonna stick to the new rules.
I hope both girls are no contact. These parents are awful people. I’m a homeschooler and I’m horrified that these girls were being kept so busy with being unpaid Nannies and maids that they couldn’t even get their school work done. These are terrible parents.
Cps was actually called not long after and all the kids were taken the parents divorced, the two girls are doing amazing and the boys live with the mom idk much about them though
I do often wonder on some of the more extreme cases like this one, how often CPS gets involved after seeing these episodes. Yes, they're edited to show the worst, but, if it's happening it's happening.
Its not only to watch the kids, its to avoid contact to outside of the family, to never let them see how bad it is at home, to also avoid CPS. Also to clean, take care of the household, take care of kids and school.
Also to completely cut them off from other kids their age. When Jo said "there's even time for you to go hang out with friends!" I was like... do they have friends? They're like never allowed out anyway, how would they make friends? Especially when they don't relate to other kid's lives when they're basically parents themselves. It's so, so sad
In an update: - Sara and Glenn separated before filming commenced. Their divorce was put on hold whilst the episode could be flimed and divorced months later after this episode aired. - Sara and Glenn were investigated by CPS after the airing of the episode. No evidence of neglect was found. - Sara remarried. - The Family except for Glenn moved to Texas. - Brittany joined the Army, got married, then had 3 children. She now lives 5 minutes away from her parents. - Moriah now lives in California. - The twin boys currently live with their mother and stepfather. - Glenn is estranged from the rest of the family, and has not seen them since. - Glenn remarried.
Incredible that when Brittany FAINTED Jo got there before her own father when he was standing right next to her!! What kind of man is this? Clearly this has happened before or he just doesn't care...
if it hasn't happened before, he might've just froze. my friend fainted next to me once during school and i didn't do anything because i just froze. everyone responds differently.
And she’s biting the inside of her cheeks the whole time (I did that when I had an ED) and she’s a teen girl in the late 2000s so she’s probably got an eating disorder poor thing
@tarynrehfeld8760 I didn't know that biting the inside of your cheeks was an ED thing. I haven't been diagnosed for anything but I'm fairly sure I have adhd. I bite my cheeks constantly.
Dad whining about the chores being uneven and him saying he’s doing what his parents that he doesn’t talk to did was so infuriating. He is so clueless. 😠
fr like sir, that's how chores should be? Ofc the children should help, but at the end he's the parent and he and Sara are responsible for their kids and the house!
the dad has absolutely 0% self awareness, talking about how his own parents were so extremely controling and accepting no backtalk. Real piece of work right there
I really love the girl's relationship with each other. She was so worried about her sister when she fainted and the way they split the chores and got it done together and then the clip at the end was so cute
Very sad you can tell the girls were so scared for Jo to leave. They knew it was only for the cameras. It hurts my heart to see. It's hard to see for the boys too. They act up and scream and throw fits because they want the attention of their parents.
Watching that part was so heartbreaking. Those poor kids didn’t ask to be teenage parents but that’s what’s being forced on them and it’s very sad to see.
My boys were in Junior High when they finally said, "Mom, we can read." I always read to them at bedtime. Bath at 7:30, Bed at 8:30 with reading. I was in bed at 9:30 so I could read my own favorite books. They both got up in the morning, ate breakfast while watching cartoons and the go to the bus stop. I feeel so blessed.
These two teenagers doing all the school work online all the cleaning and the cooking babysitting they should both get jobs at daycare or at restaurants because they do all the cooking and child care
Just incredible. Having the kids be homeschooled as an excuse to use their daughters as slaves to raise their other kids. The definition of people who should NOT have children.
The look of concern on Supernanny’s face when she told the teens she was on her way brought me to tears. Said so much on so many levels. God bless her 😢
I love when she says “just do what you normally do” and both girls get up immediately and start doing stuff and the parents (mom especially) looks around bewildered, cause she normally isn’t doing anything!
From what I've seen from other comments, I believe after the show the parents were investigated for child neglect and both eventually divorced. The oldest got into the military and now has three kids and is married. Brittany also lives close to the mom. The youngest, Moriah, moved to either California or New York and is married. As for the boys, they either grew up with their parents or something like that. Again, I'm not sure if this is completely true, but I believe there's an interview of both sisters all grown up, so you can search and check it out. Hope this helped!
Man, they put them in online school probably specifically so the girls could take care of the 3 toddlers... There was no chance for it to change from the beginning.
For anyone interested in the events post-season: After appearing on television, Sara and Glenn were investigated for child neglect. The couple ended up getting divorced, with Sara remarrying. Both girls left home as soon as possible, with Moriah moving to live in New York and get married and Brittany going into the army, getting married, and now has three children of her own.
I am soooo freaking relieved to read this (if true). I wanted those girls out of that abusive environment ASAP. Child Services should have arrested them or whatever they have power to do for abusing their children. Shame some idiot married the mother, she was as bad as the father. I hope the girls didn't marry some *sshole as many girls from terrible fathers do.
WOW I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS FOR THEM ♥️ 😭 I am absolutely relieved and thrilled to find this out. I love super nanny and have always wondered what happened to these poor girls. One even fainted on the show. Poor babies. So glad they’re happy ♥️
The fact that these girls basically knew that things wouldn't change after Jo left is chilling. If these girls didn't get emancipated, I'm sure they left as soon as they turned 18 or 19.
I’ve read somewhere that the oldest sister went to the navy and married with 3 kids. The parents got divorced right after the show and then the mom got remarried. The oldest lives near her mother. The second one moved to California.
It's insane how entirely useless CPS is. The fact that they didn't consider their situation to be abusive and neglectful speakes volumes about our system
How does CPS work? They just pop in once or twice and if things are good then that's it? I can't imagine every family gets the observation time it truly needs
@@cottoncandiez8872in my experience, i cannot speak for everyone because i’ve heard many stories with different experiences, they would come in every few weeks for few years to check up on me and my sister but tbh it wasn’t very helpful as i was quite young to understand and it was only for like 10-30 minutes, but i’ve heard from many people that they haven’t been helpful at all and sometimes CPS will ignore the children but sometimes the children can get taken away from the household 🫶 hope this is helpful :)
the fact that the dad didnt understand why the chores were being redistributed blows my mind. Most of the chores given to the parents had to do with taking care of the boys that they chose to have
The girls probably got it pretty bad after Jo left. That mother just looks so annoyed that Jo is there to begin with. She’s probably thinking about how she’s going to punish the girls for bringing cameras into the house.
The girls are their free child care and home chores wouldn't blame them for leaving that home as soon as they can . Those children aren't the girl's responsibility!!!😢

Family all helping together is one thing. Parentification of young teens is absolutely not. This was sad. Those girls are sweethearts and my heart broke for them.
Even with that, and not excusing any behaviours, I much preffer her response to the dad's. He doesnt seem ashamed at any point, as if this was not his problem at all. They are both working so he can't just say 'i am not there, i am working'. If the girls are taking care of the children the least they could do was make the chores when they are back home, and that would not even be enough.
What really got me was the bags under Brittany’s eyes. You can tell immediately that that poor girl isn’t rested and has way too much on her shoulders. I can’t believe those parents can’t see that?!
And how thin she is. Obviously malnourished due to excessive stress, workload and not eating and sleeping properly. The dad didn’t even care when she fainted.
And the dad just stood there. He didn’t even kneel down next to her, nor rush to check her pulse or whatever one would if someone fainted next to them. He just stood there. That infuriated me.
The saddest Supernanny episode I've seen. Poor girls. Britney passed out after her parents refused to recognize that she does the entire house chores at home. I think she is scared of them to death and can't believe they can't even acknowledge that she has been doing all job all this time. Shame on those parents!
the one beautiful thing about this show is the strength of the two sister's relationship. Its been forged in fire. I hope no matter what else happens in their lives they never lose that.
@@Ravalos3260I don't think she means literally dead. I think she means dead inside. Had the life sucked out of them by having to run that home type of dead.

I would bet, based on my own experience, that there is an anxiety issue at play. Panic attacks don’t always look like heart attacks. Mine are usually more internal, and I have blacked out on some occasions
@valleygirl209 i know, right? Thanks to supernanny, CPS manage to catch these two parents. And i’m just glad the two girls manage to leave their toxic home and live their own lives
@@sunnyblue7800 Seems like Brittany joined the Army, and has her own kids now. I am not sure what happened to her sister. These two were divorcing while the show was happening.
Exactly. I suspect the parents did indeed revert back and leave it all to their daughters. I wouldn't be surprised if both girls left home as soon as possible and never bothered with their parents again
The look in the mom's eyes after she found out about the girls talking how the parents were "acting" when in front of cameras scared me, even bringing up punishment. That just shows that the parents never consider themselves in the wrong -- that they could do no wrong. Also, with the daughter fainting. I know that some people react or express emotions differently to extreme situations, but there was no aftercare of the daughter. It's probably happened before.
The mother did not seem worried about her daughter. Just going through the motions of calling the doctor and taking her to the doctor....again all for the cameras. My feeling is she fainted because as soon as she tried to speak up about folding laundry, he challenged her on it instead of accepting that she was doing more than others. He is very controlling and obviously was conscious of the cameras the whole time and how he would be perceived, as was the mother. I think the only reason these parents agreed for their family to be on the show was for the money and nothing to do with fixing things in their family.
Exactly it’s completely ridiculous that she saying the girls are using this experience to walk all over them and she acting like the girls are out of line in anyway here.
Makes me wonder if the daughter has vasal vagel syncope. Stress can bring on an attack that makes you faint. Hopefully I didn't miss them saying why she fainted but it made me very worried for her
That smirk on mom's face after they said its gonna go back to the way it was is awful... don't have kids if you aren't going to look after them yourself. I feel for them
The fact that the mom was thinking of how she would interpret the girls helping out with their sons, says everything. She knew what she was doing was wrong
Brittany and Mariah both looked like their hair might fall out from stress. Both are waifs to begin with, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if Brittany had become anaemic. I'd be entirely unsurprised if either developed an eating disorder, just to have some level of control over what's going on.

Being someone who has been diagnosed with PTSD from an abusive relationship. He never changed. He knows what to say and what to do when everyone is watching 😢
And the REASON that the boys were always fussing and crying is because they wanted their mom and dad’s attention and care. They didn’t want to be raised by their sisters. All children want their parents. Unfortunately their parents has no time for the boys and they were neglected and harms as much as the girls were.

The fact that the mum said her biggest fear was to have Jo ‘misinterpret their intentions with having the girls help look after the kids’ means in her mind somewhere she actually realised it is wrong.
“The girls helping out with the kids” Helping? They’re raising those kids! Honestly the fact that for so long the parents especially the mum thought that those girls being able to voice their opinions and give their perspective on things meant that they were “walking all over them” showed how bad it had gotten for the girls I’m really glad they got the help they needed

Exactly, and the father is no better. He says the girls 'should get more work done than they do'. He acknowledges that his mother's controlling behavior drove him to go No Contact, but then he repeats his mother's behavior with those girls. No wonder they disowned him.
And the mom does????

I've seen so many episodes but this one really breaks my heart, especially when the oldest daughter sobbed uncontrollably when Jo left.
They didn't choose to have those kids so why do they have to take care of them? It's ridiculous imo

If the girls did call CPS they'd probably be beaten within an inch of their very lives.
It's so obvious the parents pulled the girls out of mainstream school and into an online school to watch the three youngest.
Not only that they wanted the girls to be there maids
Its not only to watch the kids, its to avoid contact to outside of the family, to never let them see how bad it is at home, to also avoid CPS. Also to clean, take care of the household, take care of kids and school.
Also to completely cut them off from other kids their age. When Jo said "there's even time for you to go hang out with friends!" I was like... do they have friends? They're like never allowed out anyway, how would they make friends? Especially when they don't relate to other kid's lives when they're basically parents themselves. It's so, so sad
Right? All they wanted was free babysitting.

It’s good to have children pitch in.. but that’s with guidance from parents.

The dad was controlling and abusive, but the mother was just as horrendous. Their girls never wanted Kids, the parents did, and yet they washed up their hands and expected them to do their job. I hope the girls could reconstruct their life
Exactly it’s completely ridiculous that the so called mother is whining about how she wants to throw the towel in and can’t handle the boy after dealing with the boys for what 20 minutes. Yet she expects her daughter to able to handle the boys from the time they wake up to the time they go to bed.
The dad was laughing
They did
28:30 the fact he thinks they’re doing “little high fives” like they’re getting away with “not doing anything” and thinks it’s somehow wrong that they as parents have to do more than them?? tf
The fact that the mum said her biggest fear was to have Jo ‘misinterpret their intentions with having the girls help look after the kids’ means in her mind somewhere she actually realised it is wrong.
That's not true at all.
I literally screamed "you mean YOU misinterpreted your intentions with the girls looking after kids?!", and this was only 5 minutes of the episode.
When the daughter said it’s all an act for the camera she was absolutely right… these girls need to be rescued from their bonded labour situation.
It broke my heart. My heart was in pieces. Both look depressed and tired. I am so scared for both oh thm
Yes, I agree! They needed to just be kids.
Yeah he's pretty stoic the entire time...
you mean slavery.
Why should the parents change when they have it so easy? I’d bet that none of the kids would want to have anything to do with them when they’re older.
“The girls helping out with the kids” Helping? They’re raising those kids!
Honestly the fact that for so long the parents especially the mum thought that those girls being able to voice their opinions and give their perspective on things meant that they were “walking all over them” showed how bad it had gotten for the girls
I’m really glad they got the help they needed
"I give up" No, you litterly cant... you promised them subs and got burgers, your kid is yelling for you while their sibling is calming them down, and even after everything Jo has taught you, you still yelled at the girl for not sweeping even though she did and youre the one who messed it up again.
FYI, the mother and father here ended up getting charged with child neglect on Brit and Moriah. The girls are married now, Brit is in the Military and Moriah is living in NYC
yeah if you look at they're body language and eyes, you could tell those parents were more upset at being called out than hurting they're kids.
Thanks for the update,much appreciated.
Where did you see that
That’s good to hear..
Does anyone know what happened to the boys? I hope their alright.
I think Glenn was far more abusive to the girls than what was shown here. They seemed scared of him, especially Brittany. Sara divorced him, got custody of the boys, and apparently he's completely out of the picture.
What about the girls? There are dark circles under the oldest girls eyes.
@@marybaker8582 they are both married and if I'm not wrong, one of them is in the army! Oh, I'm pretty sure the parents got charged with child neglect but idk
How do you know?
@@Mrs_B Facebook, another video about this episode on youtube.
Yes, he was huffing and puffing when Jo asked the girls to comment on what their problems were. And at the start, he said their grades had dropped because they didn’t work hard enough!
There is something VERY unsettling about both these parents....
There is something unsettling about the whole family. No one is happy - not the children nor the parents. Something was off.
You're right. Both Glen and Sara are abusive narcissists.
The older girl is terrified of her parents!
True
@@nichellerodriguez1524I would bet all my money that since this is old, those girls are out of the house and went NO CONTACT! I hope so!! Because I also agree there’s something more going on! But at the same time the fact the girls applied for Super Nanny and the parents agreed?! I’ve seen enough awful parents that would of said absolutely not and punish those kids for even reaching out for help… or they are raging narcissists who thought they could prove they did nothing wrong! Like narcissistic people do…
So sad that the parents didn’t even see what was happening with their daughters. Like you can physically see it the eldest looks unwell but yet they chose to push her to the mother of the family. Thank god it’s changed now I felt really bad for the girls😢
She literally passed out
These parents were horrible & abusing their daughters. How dare they
Right. Those boys are THEIR kids. Not the girls.
It made me so angry I knew that as soon as Jo left they would revert back to their old ways
It’s actually illegal to keep those girls from
Being able
To attend school. This wasn’t homeschooling. This was indentured servitude. Keeping your daughters home to cook clean and babysit. It’s awful. Is there an update? I feel like those girls are going to face major retribution after the camera left. Are they safe?
Yes!
Theirs an update in one of the other comment threads
I hope these girls know just how much they are loved and respected by the rest of the world. They are amazing.
True these parents doesnt know how great these daughters are. And the mum is kinda plastic always prep up while her girls looks like didnt even comb and change their clothes 😢 poor britanny im glad her sister is always with her
💯🙏
This one is heartbreaking. All the children put under immense emotional pressure for no reason at all 😭 little boys being parented by kids, kids parents kids. Everything is so sad. The youngest cries so much because he wants time with his parents. I imagine it’s torcher being raised by teenagers who don’t wanna be doing it 😭
