@Sahal E. M. Patel I don’t really remember and I don’t feel like re-watching the whole video but I remember the mom would twist the daughters words to make the daughter seem more rude. Everyone is talking about how Jerald was bad at the beginning, and while I agree he did realize that he was really wrong. He took charge of the whole thing, embraced the challenge head on, and pretty much resolved all of his issues before Jo even left the first time. I think he really matured in that short time, and people aren’t giving him credit for it.
That’s what annoys me the most with the comments on these videos, people are so quick to trash on everyone and almost never mention the growth the parents make.
this is probably my favourite episode because instead of seeing kids change you see the parents change more when they are normally the root of the problem
And you believe that was real? Lol, wake up. This is just telly. Pretending that theory works in real life. It doesnt. Not with this kind of husband. He was just pretending and he even said it about the chores chart "its not about helping her, its about her thinking she isnt doing it all alone"
My mom never had to say that to me and my younger siblings but my grandma always had to say that to my cousins. 😂 We're Asians. My grandparents really love to scare my cousins with the cops or the child thief. Or the monsters at night saying we can't go out or they'll eat us up if we do. 🥲 I guess there's a lot of similarities.
i like how everyone is ragging on the dad like he's so lazy when the mother just said she would rip of of there children's teeth out like oh my gosh this dad is lazy and the mom is abusive
I love when Jo took Marla aside to talk about her response to Desiree's response about her homework & Marla not wanting to take Desiree to the dance. Jo realized that they both need to put in the work, but that Marla is the adult & has to step up to the plate.
One thing I've noticed about people who's favorite color is purple (my mother included 💜) is that they REALLY love purple..like they're passionate about their favorite color being purple 💜
I really like how dad went from lazy and childish, and mom was constantly complaining about it. Yet, dad grew up immediately and mom didn't change at all.
@Sahal E. M. Patel mom arguing with her daughter? have double standards between her daughter's mistakes and her son's? being lazy in discipline? I'm glad the dad pulled thru, some dads don't even realize they're detached from their families, letting the mom do all the work in the house... it all starts with them, if they don't discipline themselves first and don't take responsibility as parents, they first become ghe problem ..not the kids...
My parents used to do the ”ill just leave without you” bit when I was taking too long to get ready. Then they wondered why I had serious abandonment issues.
My mum did that too. When my mum doesn’t get what she wants she screams, shouts, calls names, swears and storms off. Now she wonders why I need so much therapy
Everybody is talking abt the dad when the mom litteraly blew up on her daughter for saying are you happy now when all the mom does is have attitude with everyone
My thoughts exactly why is everyone trying to call out the dad when the mum was WAY worse?? At least the dad did try to step up and make an effort to change which is more than I saw the mum do.
@Mira Wilmot-DiCarlo no one was talking about that we were talking about the mom being abusive towards there child not how she was fighting with her husband

Everyone is in the comments talking about how the dad is lazy but he turned around & made an effort & commitment to changing his life & the lives of his kids & the mother ended up making excuses
I know right! As soon as Jo scolded him, he really shaped up and changed his ways. I hope it wasn’t just for the camera and actually did change, because the moments with his daughter were really sweet
This guy come on am I the only on who was so surprised at how the dad was soo ready to leave his family crazy
The Mom really needed to apologize to the daughter for how she has reacted and treated her.
So true
Agreed. If that awful Potter Family dad could turn around and apologize to his kids then why can't she?

why are so many men in these episodes not taking on household responsibilities in caring for their children and doing housework?
Because they think that its the women's responsibility to take care of the kids

The dad is incredible in this situation. Yes, he armchair parented at the start but after being spoken too, he adjusted his attitude. Round of applause for dad!
I feel like her mom was more disrespectful the daughter wasn't trying to disrespect her half the time
fr the mom was giving more attitude than the daughter
the daughter was trying to respect her half the time the mom started for nothing
@Sahal E. M. Patel If watch the whole episode, Marla is incredibly rude to her daughter.
@Sahal E. M. Patel I don’t really remember and I don’t feel like re-watching the whole video but I remember the mom would twist the daughters words to make the daughter seem more rude. If the daughter gave the mom the slightest bit of attitude, the mom would blow up in her face and come back 10x meaner than the daughter.
@Sahal E. M. Patel that doesnt make it any better though
The daughter clearly gets her attitude from her mom. She just seems to cause drama at every turn
She looks like Violet Parr from Incredibles 2
Causing drama gets her attention. ALL KIDS CRAVE attention. If she can’t get it being “good”, she gets it being bad. At least it’s attention.
She catches an attitude with her daughter but smothers her sons when they misbehave and comes up with excuses 🤦♂️!!!

Do not blame the mom for how the dad treats her.

Right and the mom just aint changing
💯 agreed
That’s what annoys me the most with the comments on these videos, people are so quick to trash on everyone and almost never mention the growth the parents make.

At the begginning of this episode, I was extremely against the dad. He was being so lazy with his parenting. But he turned around so well

this is probably my favourite episode because instead of seeing kids change you see the parents change more when they are normally the root of the problem
My favorite was the evans family albeit sad
And you believe that was real? Lol, wake up. This is just telly. Pretending that theory works in real life. It doesnt. Not with this kind of husband. He was just pretending and he even said it about the chores chart "its not about helping her, its about her thinking she isnt doing it all alone"

some of these families don't have problematic kids, they have problematic parents 😂
@Sahal E.

@Mira Wilmot-DiCarlo no one was talking about that we were talking about the mom being abusive towards there child not how she was fighting with her husband

Because the mom is unhappy in her relationship with her husband and most importantly with herself. So she takes it out on everyone including her kids sadly. Sad mom, sad life. Happy mom, happy life. We really do set the vibes of the family.
