Helping is keep an eye on the little ones while I shower. Helping is playing with them while mom cooks. Helping is one thing but what these older kids are doing is raising their siblings.
Was just thinking this. It’s one thing to ask the oldest to watch the younger ones while you’re making dinner or switching over the laundry, but this lady expects them to be live in free child care
Absolutely, and the mother had the Audacity to tell them that that was THEIR responsibility... Like no they kept their legs closed, you didn't, its YOURS.
My parents had seven of us but other than when my parents went out or had somewhere they had to be and we babysat, we didn’t have to do any parenting. My parents were responsible and took care of everyone. My dad worked and mom stayed at home but when dad got home, he still helped take care of us.
She does take care of them, lol. She is very focused on the younger ones, which is normal. She just also relies heavily on the older ones. Which is very much how people lived and still do live.
She has every right to be angry, couldn’t agree more! Don’t have all those children if you can’t be bothered to parent them. So sad that the oldest ones never had an opportunity to be kids themselves😔
@@jaegrant6441there’s a different between the older kids helping out with their younger siblings and fully dumping the responsibility of caring for the kids onto the teens which is what these parents did.

I'd heard elsewhere that some women can be "addicted" to having babies. Among other things, it has to do with the attention to the mom from others that babies bring.
if you can’t handle having many kids, then don’t have so many. the oldest kids do not need to be another parent to their siblings. that’s extremely unfair. the parents need to step it up

This was frustrating that the oldest kids are forced to sacrifice their childhood/teenage years to babysit their siblings😡😡 THEY ARE KIDS THEMSELEVES!! And the parents can't even take care of the children they have and want to have more
Saw this with the Chapman family (2004) in this series. The narcissistic mother and father expected their 2 teenage girls to parent 3 younger boys and act as housekeepers/maids while attending online classes. But they still expected the girls to put THEIR demands ahead of their schooling. The girls are grown now and out of the house, and I believe they disowned Dad and Mom and cut them off. The boys are adults now but not sure what happened to them.
If you’re struggling with 10, why tf would you add two more? That’s not only incredibly selfish, but just insane. She has the comprehension skills of a 5 year old.
When i first started watching this episode, it made me feel like i was watching 19 kids and counting. Children should be allowed to be children as long as they can!
I watch these videos every opportunity I have. I'm always and very impressed with Jo Jo in the way she handles different parents and children. Her tecniques are very effective, it doesnt matter which family she's called in to help. The important thing is that as parents, responsibility must always be excercised. How two people create children and ignore them or expect them to look after their own siblings is beyond me. It's shameful and very irresponsible.
@@wickedfairy2370She wouldn’t be able to do the job she has if she had her own children. The world is already overpopulated. She probably feels happier helping other families.
I noticed that too and she can change how talks talks with different age groups as well, with the littles she’s able to be very playful and with the older kids she’s able to be more laid back which helps them open up
Terrible mother. Irresponsible and selfish. She doesn’t “love kids” She only wants babies and none of the responsibilities to raise and take care of them once they become kids. And yet she wants 2 more?!? Insanely selfish. Poor kids, poor teenagers.
The fact that they said she doesnt need more and her response was "I disagree" like what does that even mean? The man said he don't consent to more kids..
This is so sad. I can’t believe how much responsibility they put on Logan. Can you imagine the trauma? Even the younger ones Carly and the other sister. It’s ridiculous and there’s absolutely no way that even the younger ones don’t also have trauma living with each other either. It’s really unfortunate and neglectful.
So sad when the oldest kids are forced to take on the responsibility for the younger kids! They should help some but not to the extent their own needs aren't being met - if the parents can't handle all of their children they need to hire some help - good they realized they needed help!
It’s weird to me that their mom said “I don’t believe my husband can take care of them” and it immediately flips to her 15 year old son taking care of what dad should be doing 🤦🏾♀️it’s so sad
As far as 12, this Mom’s not thinking of babies, she’s only thinking of the number. The babies are just objects she’s using to reach her goal. Sad, very sad…
I don't get it. She just wants twelve kids for the sake of it? Where is the point when by the time she got her number, at least the first three have already run away from home as far as possible?!
I don't think there is anything wrong with expecting ALL children to help around the house each given the appropriate task based on age but it is wrong to completely throw your older kids under the bus and sacrifice their lives. Maybe babysit every so often and get paid for your time but expecting every minute of their lives to be free caregivers is insane how do you not feel guilty?
they’re so selfish. they don’t want children, they want cute little babies. once they grow older, they get sick of them. i feel so bad for those kids. i hope they’re doing better now
The dad seems to get it but the mom is selfish and delusional with her desires to pop out more babies who won’t even enjoy being around and will likely despise their existence it’s really sad it’s pathetic I respect the dad for at least stepping up and at least verbally admitting he is at fault and he is responsible and will step up now finally
Reminds me of my uncle and aunt. They had 9 kids and the older kids were expected to help raise the younger ones. The eldest girl got married as soon as she was legally old enough just to get out of there. She said she may as be out raising her own children. Sad.
I think the worst part about this is that Logan has been taking care of his siblings ever since he was old enough to do so, meaning he had to do this 9 times as his Mom had more kids and his Dad was absent. On top of that he’s had to watch the following kids that came after him fall into the same trap of ‘being the oldest’ and taking care of the younger ones while the older ones are LEGIT TEENAGERS! These parents selfish and don’t deserve the little angels they have
I think this is one of the most frustrating episodes I've ever watched. I can't stand the parents. How dare you force responsibilities on the older kids just because you're too lazy to look after the 8 other kids that YOU chose to have?? Apparently the two oldest don't have anything to do with their parents nowadays and don't blame them.
The parents giggling and saying "thats funny" that there oldest son was able to rest made my blood boil. They dont even consider there children people, just objects to have.
Sadly CPS while important, has had multiple consistent failures at doing that important job. There are children who’ve been taken from perfectly happy homes (usually just neurodivergent and figuring it out with their family) There are children who’ve been abandoned because the CPS workers believed the parents outright And even cases of CPS itself being involved with child kidnapping
the calendar says 2009 so if they bought the house before they had Logan, it would have been the early-mid 90s. I don't know too much about the housing market back then, I just know it was insanely different from now. Who knows, maybe on the dad's salary they could just /do/ that.
Amy Costello is the real-life version of Rita Loud from The Loud House; she keeps wanting more children even though she doesn't take proper care of the ones she already has.
this episode blows my mind every time i watch it. i was the youngest of four, raised almost solely by mom, and i already felt neglected with how her time was divided between her going back to school, her job and my siblings. i can’t imagine how emotionally, mentally and physically drained and alienated from their parents these kids feel having dad barely be present, and the kids are more parents than the actual parents are, all while still being kids themselves.
I feelnlike the mom picked that moment to bring up his drinking to take the heat off of her for being the one who mainly puts all the childcare on Logan. Whata cop out...she could and should have brought that up at any other monet in time

If parents need older children to help out taking care of their siblings, then those parents shouldn't have had that many kids, it is so irresponsible. The purpose for having children helping out in the family is to teach them for their future adult lives, it should not be because it is vital to make the family life work, that is the responsibility of the parents.
Yeah it’s one thing to ask for the diaper bag, but when you ask your oldest children to watch 6 other kids so you can fuss over the baby then you’ve failed miserably.
Children that live like this get all their parental urges out before they're even adults. They see how much it sucks from an early age. He won't want kids.
He is probably traumatized and will refuse to procreate. I know I decided when I was 15 it wasn't for me. I love my baby cousins (who are now amazing adults), but holy crap!
The fact that the mom is so selfish that she doesn’t care that she can’t even take care of the kids she’s got now AMD STILL WANTS 2 MORE is insane absolutely insane
The dad got thrown under the bus here. No one addressed the mother’s blatant narcissism and delusions. She is abusive to her children and her husband. She gloated in lording his alcoholism over him and using it to scapegoat him. She looked satisfied when the son confronted him. She’s gross.
She's very gross. And it was clear she brought up the alcohol to deflect from having to respond to what Logan said. My only hope is that Jo saw it for what it was and didn't address it because she understood it was pointless. I'm hoping she focused on the alcoholism because she believed that could actually be fixed and saw that the dad was willing to change unlike the mom. But maybe I'm just trying to justify it all

I really think that these parents were expecting Ms Jo to come in and say "There there my loves, you're good parents, it's your collection of children who are rotten by choice!". Utterly unhinged.
“Helping out” at home isn’t weird and creepy. Having reasonable chores and responsibilities as you get older teaches you how to do chores so you don’t move out of your parents home without knowing how to do your own laundry and clean your bathroom. Weird and creepy is parentifying your young teenagers to the point they have too much responsibility to have any childhood like Logan. The 14 year old got bawled out because Mom saw Jo observing them and thought it made her look bad. Unfortunately , bawling her out is what made her look bad.because Jo was observing normal roughhousing between siblings until mom went off.

Well if the answer still can be no, it isnot their responsibility always to keep an eye on the other children
"It's your responsibility as the oldest"--- NO MOM! It's YOUR responsibility as the BREEDER!
Yup. Mom was deflecting and denying her own responsibility/role. It's what narcissists do.

“we have 10 kids and we need some help!”
well here’s a solution…. DONT HAVE **10** KIDS
😂😂
If it isn’t the consequences of her actions 😅
My parents had seven of us but other than when my parents went out or had somewhere they had to be and we babysat, we didn’t have to do any parenting. My parents were responsible and took care of everyone. My dad worked and mom stayed at home but when dad got home, he still helped take care of us.
Seems best to have the number of children that we do well in raising. When difficulties arise and they will, it's critical that we seek the solutions.
😂 👍
This is the angriest I’ve ever seen Jo Frost. These people popped out TEN KIDS and don’t take care of them
She does take care of them, lol.
@jaegrant6441 doesn't look like they need any farm hands around the house. It's just selfish in this century.
@@jaegrant6441there’s a different between the older kids helping out with their younger siblings and fully dumping the responsibility of caring for the kids onto the teens which is what these parents did.
What's the obsession with 12 kids?? Isn't 10 enough?
The mother is selfish, doesn’t see kids as human beings in their own right (as in, they’re just mini me’s), and doesn’t even have the self preservation to treat them right so that they don’t all abandon her in her old age lol. Wanting 12 instead of 10 seems to me to be the least of her psychological oddities
I'd heard elsewhere that some women can be "addicted" to having babies. Among other things, it has to do with the attention to the mom from others that babies bring.
Just breeder mentality. Nothing more.

As soon as they left childhood, they had to IMMEDIATELY transition into adulthood. I don't blame them if they resent their parents in the future.

@@nancyrenton962 interestingly Jo has no children of her own . Would love to see her interviewed later about this once she has had children!
Count in the drunk dad who knocks her up over and over.
Oh my gosh. I am the oldest of 10 kids with similar griefs, and I completely understand.
As far as 12, this Mom’s not thinking of babies, she’s only thinking of the number. The babies are just objects she’s using to reach her goal. Sad, very sad…

I found it so healing to see how angry at the parents Jo was. Even after the first video in the car, she said "KIDS, I'm on my way!"
They seem like the parents that would say
“WHy DonT mY KidS viSiT Me?”
I mean, Apparently Logan has nothing to do with her anymore, same with Carly. Don't blame them
You're right, that's exactly what they are. They are narcissists (particularly Mom) who think of their children as PROPERTY, not people.
This episode was touch for me to watch, my father was an alcoholic,it has effected me all my life. I hope this man overcomes the drinking.

Apparently the two oldest don't have anything to do with their parents nowadays and don't blame them.
The parents giggling and saying "thats funny" that there oldest son was able to rest made my blood boil. They dont even consider there children people, just objects to have.
You don’t need super nanny you need children protective services.
Sadly CPS while important, has had multiple consistent failures at doing that important job.
There are children who’ve been taken from perfectly happy homes (usually just neurodivergent and figuring it out with their family)
There are children who’ve been abandoned because the CPS workers believed the parents outright
And even cases of CPS itself being involved with child kidnapping
The father is an otr driver. Mom stays at home? How do they afford not only the kids but that huge house??
Maybe they inherited the house.
the calendar says 2009 so if they bought the house before they had Logan, it would have been the early-mid 90s. I don't know too much about the housing market back then, I just know it was insanely different from now. Who knows, maybe on the dad's salary they could just /do/ that.

If parents need older children to help out taking care of their siblings, then those parents shouldn't have had that many kids, it is so irresponsible. The purpose for having children helping out in the family is to teach them for their future adult lives, it should not be because it is vital to make the family life work, that is the responsibility of the parents.

She's very gross. And it was clear she brought up the alcohol to deflect from having to respond to what Logan said.
