      boom often wear or overboosting can cause cavitation of the shaft and rapid failure. I have an Audi in the workshop with boost issues and found the Turbine and turbo shaft sitting in the exhaust middle section lol

    At 3:12 the part with the blades that is covered with soot i cannot get this of to clean behind it, there are 3 torx bolts i have removed but it still wont come off. I have cleaned the blades that move to adjust boost with wd40 and a toothbrush but really need to get this part off so i can clean the mechanism behind that moves the blades. Any advice? My problem was overboost

    Hey man great video, can you help me? im actually going to use the same turbo on a mk2 superb 2.0cr , my question is how to transfer the actuator do i have to cut the arm? And my greatest concern is how to set the stop screw? How many mm?

    • @dieseltuningincboosttechno4684
      @dieseltuningincboosttechno4684  Год назад +1

      so you can obtain short VNT arm kits from the internet but they do require tig welding in place if that is what you mean. So just so I am clear what Turbo are you fitting and to what engine ?

      @@dieseltuningincboosttechno4684 sorry for the late reply it's 2.0tdi cjaa . I might have used a wrong term I was actually looking for the minimum air flow calibration after the vacuum conversion. Can we do it manually or I need to send it to the flow bench.
      One more thing is confusing if we calibrate the minimum flow, we adjust it to the factory turbo flow rate or the new turbos stock flow rate?

    • @boosttech2548
      @boosttech2548 Год назад +1

      @user-yy9xd9fq8b obviously it will be more better on a flow bench but 90% if the time if you put 1.5mm on the stop screw the rest of the vnt adjustment can be done via the map

    By the VNT arm I can see a set screw? 0:46 on the turbo itself, a black bolt. When the car starts I assume the VNT arm drops down to rest on that screw? Can you change the amount of movement the arm has with this, and would that affect how the turbo boosts?

    • @dieseltuningincboosttechno4684
      @dieseltuningincboosttechno4684  Год назад +1

      you can change the stop screw setting and it will change how the turbo boosts but it is something that should only be done with a VNT flow machine and skill/knowledge. To adjust it manually could cause overboost that will destroy the turbo why do you want to adjust it?

      Hi mate, thanks for your help video. I got insignia 1.6 cdti 2016, when I bought it came with no power, DPF full, and error code P0299 and P0234. I replaced Map, Maf, O2 sensor, delete dpf and egr from ecu, but I still have no power at all..
      Update i removed the intake manifold out cleaned it up lot of dust come from inside manifold, I don't have air leak the turbocharger apparently work work well. But I don't removed it yet for check. Did you have any idea about my big issue? Thanks

    My insignia CDTi 2011 estate was driving fine, now, it doesn’t get any power when driving - if I’m going up hill on the motorway, my speed drops to 39mph and I have to drop gears and get high revs to keep it from going any lower. Obviously I know this is bad 😢 recently it seemed to regain about 75% of its power but then even more recently lost it again…
    No lights up on the dashboard, only the ‘service soon’ message showing up.
    Do you think it’s the turbo based on this information?

      Very difficult to say without doing diagnostic work. I would recommend taking it to the nearest vauxhall specialist. Guessing will be more expensive than testing, locating the fault and doing the repair.

    Hi I've a 2011 Vauxhall insignia 125 thousand miles on it. The turbo went on it last week. When I pulled over and took the key it kept on revving. I was talking to 2 mechanics 1 said if you up a new turbo in it. It should be fine. And the other 1 said if I do put a new turbo in it the engine will go shortly. Don't know who to believe now. Is it worth putting money in to it? Any advice would Be welcome thanks a million

    I am getting code p2598 on my 1.6 cdti 2017. This code is vane position sensor circuit too low? Could a faulty boost valve cause that code?

      Sorry for the late reply we don t really get involved in online diagnostics. The best way is to find a trustworthy vauxhall specialist and get some data logging done to pin point the problem and solve it first time, guessing can get expensive....

      So like this, my insignia is 96kw and I mapped it to 185 / 190hp, for me this smaller turbine is "cylindrical", it's not like the insignia 118kw, so to speak, 2 big circles. I wonder if I would achieve anything to install that bigger turbo of 118kw ... thank you very much
