- I also go over the rear end accident damage repairs that was fixed 5 years ago and how to spot it on used cars when looking for hidden repairs. Installing and overview of front and rear bumpers on 2015 Toyota Sienna SE, same for 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. Removing the bumper on this car looks intimidating but is very easy.
I had a little mishap while the bumpers were at the shop in paint and I was driving around with my temporary bumpers. Screwed up the $180 OEM fender lining and $200 under panel. Fixed them all with some eBay aftermarket fender linings.
While I was in there, I did the Toyota Service Bulletin TSB ( TS-B-0045-14) for the brake cooling ducts.

Hey I had the bottom plastic cover damaged after I took the van for a broken auxiliary light for thr warranty so they've installed the light but a couple of months later I took it for a long drive and I heard a noice numbers of times on the freeway then I stopped to check what was the noise so I didn't see anything so I drove all the way to my house later on I saw the bottom plastic popped and saw the damage so I checked it and they didn't put the bottom plastic clips and now I'm gonna have to buy the damn plastic and the price is $234 for that part is ridiculous so I'm gonna try to put it in the warranty and see if they want to replace the part or not but I'm gonna complain to thr dealership.
They've also done my front brakes and the rotors left them so bad that I don't trust them anymore.
Thanks for the video.
Yea. I never trust the dealer techs. Those guys are in a rush. If they put all the screws back, it wouldn’t go anywhere. There’s 7 of them to the bumper, plus two screws to the flap. The 8 clips are pretty tight too so it takes some seriously bad driving and parking bumps to damage or cause it to fall off.
@@TunerwithKids I went to buy the clips at the dealer the price was ridiculous and they didn't have them so I went to O'Reilly and bought a pack with 8 pieces for $4.99 plus tax put them on but it has a big hole in the bottom now
MrSeth166 Amazon for clips, my man. You can get 120 OEM clips for less than $10. amzn.to/3gPMqvh
@@TunerwithKids thanks man I just added to my Amazon cart
Thank you!
Keep at it Ben, you have skills!
New subscriber to your channel and find it very informative. I recently purchased a used 2020 Toyota Sienna and found some damage to it that I didn't see when I purchased it. So now I'm going to give it a go at repairing it. Your channel made easier for me to repair and purchasing the right right parts. Thanks again and keep up the good work on your channel. Aloha from Kansas
Great job using resources and engineering skills. I'm replacing my mom's front bumper cover today. After watching all the things you've labored, although it won't be easy, not as much as you've done with the liner! Congratulations!
Great illustration on the fix. I am in the same boat as the engine cover got tangled on a projected piece of metal on a Parking stop causing this piece to tear and deform when the Van moved back. This was an aftermarket liner after the OEM was destroyed in a similar manner a few years ago. As an fyi, these aftermarket replacements though cheap are much heavier than OEM and do exert some pressure on the fender liners and both side edges of the bumper. try for a used cover first if you can find it cheap.
This part besides providing cover to the engine from the underside also supports the front bumper and if possible I would avoid attaching anything rigid like the aluminum strips. In case the cover is caught on something. it will very likely tear the bumper where the strip is attached which will be a more expensive repair. The whole idea behind using clips etc is that this piece gives way before more severe damage can happen to the bumper
Hello..Do you have any ideas about changing the look of Toyota Sienna 2009
I noticed you never talked about removing the rear bumper, yet it's in your title.
That’s what I said and he replied asking if I watched the part where he does…he didn’t. Waste of time.
DUDE !! GREAT JOB. T Y BRO !!
Great video. My 2014 sienna was hit in rear only compressed plastic bumper. Body shop telling me they can fix plastic like new. You think thats true? I worry about whats behind bumper and your video helped.
These bumpers are short so any impact will damage the reinforcement and plastic impact absorber behind. The plastic bumper cover can usually be repaired if no holes or major damage. Just make sure they don’t need to use body filler or anything like that. It gets to a point where the $350 new bumper is a wash. But some shops will spend time doing that vs new and full paint instead of a scuff and respray blend.
Do you think this model can fit my 2011 sienna LE ? I like the look and I’m planing on adding fog lights also.
Yes the SE bumper fits all 2011-2020.
q
Hi do you know if a SC FRONT BUMPER will fit my regular toyota sienna 2011 le because it look so cool thank you in advance
Any recommendations on how to fix car wash water dripping inside from the top middle portion of the rear window?
Check the seals around it.
Hi anh Bình, cho em hỏi xe Sienna XLE và Limited bumper phía sau có cùng kích thước với mẫu SE không? Anh có thể thay(back bumper) của mẫu xe SE vào mẫu xe XLE không ? Is it fit ? Thanks anh !
The bumpers all fit between the different models. Only difference might be a few of the underside panel holes and the shape of the foam bumper pad.
Em thích xe Sienna SE, và thích màu Alumina jade metallic , nhưng mẫu SE không có làm màu đó, cho nên em mới hỏi anh câu hỏi ở trên !
I'm a Gator PE (ME) myself, now I'm actually curious if we had any of the same undergrad classes.
I’m EE, graduated in 04.
The bumper on my 2011 has a gap under the headlights. I thought it was the bumper brackets so i replaced them and same issue. I'm gonna have to go ghetto on a fix. I snap the sides back into place but it just pops out again and from googling i found out its a common issue🤦♂️
Yes my passenger side corner near the headlight is slightly popped out. But the under bumper gap isn’t common.
@@TunerwithKids i read and saw pictures online showing it was common not only on Siennas but across a few Toyota models like the Camry and 4 Runner. There was even a TSB put out for the 4 runner so I figured Id duplicate the fix on my Sienna. The fix is using 3M's dual locking fasteners which is basically velcro. 🤦♂️ Thats why I said Im going to have to get ghetto with my fix. Google it if you dont believe me
Is Sienna 2006 the same as 2015? Thanks.
Kenny Tran no it’s two different body styles. But the underside and behind the bumpers share some of the same parts.
Where can I buy the bumper ?
That is the SE bumper. You can get an OEM one for around $400 or aftermarket for $200 or so. amzn.to/35pq0OQ
How much should the back bumper replacement cost?
OEM list price is $375 new, paint by book price is $425, that includes removal and installation. If you DIY the install or drop off they should save you $100 on paint.
Thank you!
When you took your front bumper off and put it back on,did have any issues of gaps in between the panels?
Not really but the OEM Sienna from right bumper is poor fitting from factory. I’m on 3 OEM bumpers now (original, replacement after accident, and a warranty replacement by body shop) and they all budge right at the corner where it meets fender and headlight.
@@TunerwithKids I have a gap that bugs me so much. I have replaced the passenger side bracket and still have the problem. Do you think if I took the bumper off and put it on again it would help?
Probably not if it’s the same gap I am referring on the passenger side. Right at the corner. If it’s a panel gap, make sure to snap it in firmly and screw the side on with clips.
@@TunerwithKids I took the bumper off and found that there was additional damage that my insurance company missed. Do you know what those two brackets in middle left and middle right of the bumper are called? Those have plastic clips on them and those broke.
Try to look it up on a online Toyota dealer parts site. They will show diagrams.
More mod videos for 2IS please
I have a few coming soon. Any suggestions?
...and Go Gators!
It seems like you complain about little tiny things that are not really noticeable. I would hate to have you as a customer.
Perfectionist. plus if you pay for something professionally done, you want it to last and that’s why they have warranty on their work. That’s why DIY stuff if I can.
He just wants things done correctly. I would hate to have you as a service person.
Not that helpful at all. you didn’t show the steps on removal/install
Did you skip the steps when I show the bolts? Watch it in full and don’t FF.
@@TunerwithKidsyep you don’t show any steps taken to remove the bumpers period.
@jlo5470 yall must be watching another video because I tell which bolts to loosen then I time-lapse myself doing the work to unscrew them. Not sure if yall need me to show that in real time.
Your too fast
