    These are my favorite types of videos. Take a reliable car that has been heavily used and totally restore it. Keep it up!

    I have a silver 2009 Camry XLE that's VERY similar. You can't reverse the wear on the driver's seat but otherwise this car looks NEW!!!!! OUTSTANDING!!!!!

    Bro… you killed it!! I think this is the #1 way to increase value to a vehicle without spending much except elbow grease. I know your hands must be sore after I’ve done some details almost on your level..
    couple questions: how many total hrs would you say? If you were to charge someone for this detail what would they pay? And what grit sand paper on the wet sand you did?
    Epic bro keep it up and very high quality video and camera work!!

    Nice video... I wouldn't be using those cheap stiff nylon brushes on paintwork though.

    • @HamptonsTouch
      @HamptonsTouch  2 месяца назад

      You’re right about the brushes, they’re not the best, and I definitely don’t use them 99% of the time, but there are occasions when there’s dirt building around trim and lettering that causes staining and won’t come out with a soft brush. I’ll only do it on white or silver vehicles, and never on vehicles with exceptionally good paint.

    My Toyota Highlander 2013 just turn 100000k miles just a few days ago. I should have given a makeover as well. Still drives like it was new super quiet and very comfortable ride.
    I wonder how many hours it took you to give your Camry a well deserved makeover?

    • @HamptonsTouch
      @HamptonsTouch  2 месяца назад

      That Highlander will last you forever, definitely give it a good pampering from time to time. It deserves it! I can’t remember exactly how long this detail took, but I’d say it was somewhere around 20-25 hours total.

    Great video. Awfully thorough cleanup. But I don't understand how you could spray wash the engine without covering its electrical parts first?

    • @HamptonsTouch
      @HamptonsTouch  3 месяца назад +1

      Everything is designed to get wet so long as you don’t force high pressure into the connectors or fuse boxes. Ensuring everything is tight is essential though, and getting too close with the pressure washer can cause water to leak past the seals, so staying back to the point that the water is just mist by the time is reaches the sensitive components helps too.

    Bro my dad has a 2013 camry se with 190k miles, and im wanting to learn how to buff, a car, i have all the things i need, i got the ultra compound, the polish, and the liquid wax, is that all i need? Also i already restored the headlights before. Thank you! Love your vids, New sub!

    • @HamptonsTouch
      @HamptonsTouch  6 месяцев назад

      You can get away with just a polish on light colored Toyotas because the paint is so soft, but if you want to get most of the defects out, you’ll need to compound the paint before polishing. And if you’re doing their white acrylic lacquer single stage paint, you’ll definitely need to compound first, but that’s not a paint type I’d recommend learning to paint correct on.

    what did you polish the glass with? regular polish wax works?

    • @HamptonsTouch
      @HamptonsTouch  Год назад

      I used HD Speed by 3D on the glass. It has some wax in it you can leave behind for protection, or strip it and coat the glass. I like using it because it won’t leave white residue marks on the rubber trim.
