Neglected Jeep SRT Gets 40+ HOUR Makeover! Full Interior + Paint Correction And Ceramic Coating!

- This 2015 Jeep SRT has been used and abused for years by its previous owner. Currently sitting at 118k miles, it shows every bit of that mileage. The exterior and engine bay alone took 6.5 hours to fully clean all the dirt out of every crevice. The interior didn't look soo bad at first glance, but being a family car, it had a pungent odor that needed to go and required 12 hours of attention. After removing the front and rear seats, everything was shampooed and followed up with a hot water extractor, steam, and an ozone treatment. The seats had a lot of filth lurking in the suede.
After the interior was all finished and buttoned up, the exterior received a fully body wet sand, two stages of compounding, and a refining polish to remove the water spots and swirls plaguing the paint. Once the paint was popping again, everything was topped with Ceramic Pro's professional ceramic coating for protection and ease of maintenance.

Again, amazing job dude! This was a true transformation!
Thanks dude!
Bro you deserve a lot more subscribers! This is immaculate.
Thank you, I appreciate that! Be sure to share with anyone you think would enjoy it.
Why would anyone let a Jeep SRT get like that?? 😭
I don’t know ☹️
Nicely done, first time i've seen a steam vac actually have steam!
Thank you!
Stupid question but i thought you were never supposed to spray water under the hood only use wet cloth due to water getting in motherboard? I took my car detailing few years back and when I picked it up, it was in limp mode. Had to pay mechanics to dry the water out.
You can clean under the hood with water so long as you’re careful of how close you’re getting the pressure washer. The pressure will push the moisture past the seals of the electrical connectors if you’re too close, and it’s always best to look over everything to make sure all the connections are secure, and the fuse box is properly latched shut. There are some fuse boxes that have openings on the sides, so it’s best for cover them with a bag while cleaning.
Great work im only 12 minutes in but shouldn't you start interior first then exterior im not a professional or even close just wondering wouldn't it be more easier after you do the interior you dont have to go inside anymore rather than clean the exterior then doing the interior while slightly contaminating your work you just did but im sure you're going to wax but seems a lil backwards
Whether you start on exterior or interior is just personal preference. There’s no specific order to go in. I’d personally rather get the exterior cleaned so I can get the vehicle pulled inside. If I did the interior first then pulled it outside to wash it, there’s a chance dirt, dust, or pollen can blow into the vehicle while I’m cleaning out the door jambs, and I want to avoid having to re-vacuum and wipe down the interior. That’s just me though.
Awesome video mate. Was that APC that you sprayed on the interior doors, carpet and seats? Same dilution throughout?
Thank you! It was Super Clean APC diluted 1:8 on the panels, and I used P&S Carpet Bomber on the fabric of the seats as well as the floor.
Can I bring my Jeep Grand Cherokee to you please? Are you located in the Midwest?
I’d love to do your Jeep, but I’m located in SC.
Recently discovered your channel and already a massive fan of your work. Great videos, and brilliant work, clearly a master of your trade. Please keep the videos coming 😁
I’m glad your enjoy them! Thank you for your support!
Amazing job! I love watching videos like this. However, if you don't mind, please talk us noobs through what you're doing, instead of the music. I actually had my speakers off. You have a opportunity to be a teaching channel. ;)
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I’ve debated doing some voice overs, but honestly hate the sound of my voice when played back lol it’s not very soothing to listen to, but I may do it in the future.
Hazy ass clear coat. Could be 4 times more reflective.
Hello, nice vid and attention to that car.
Is it really needed to touch the car with the sandpaper? I think rotary polishing and then finishing with orbital is enough cutting for these medium scratches. Or it was because it ease up the polishing process so you dont have to polish as long?
I would highly recommend protecting the seat rails with rags or other stuff when moving it. It can really fk up the finish with the scratches on a car from the rails.
Good job :)
The biggest benefit of sanding is heat management. Instead of grinding down the paint with a rotary or DA and generating a bunch of heat, I can cut exactly enough clear coat to get to all these swirls, which this Jeep had plenty of, and then refine with the rotary and DA in following steps. This also saves a tremendous amount of time of having to revisit tight areas or swapping out polishers and pads to make sure each and every swirl mark and scratch was removed. In the end, the results from sanding will always be superior to the results of just using polishers.
It’s a whole new jeep
The transformation was huge!

💪😎
Saw in one of ybe other comments you are from SC. Was gonna be my quetion since i saw tbe Clemson trailer hitch cover. The Jeep looked great. What part of tbe state are you from? Im in tbe columbia area myself. Actually Lexington
I used to live in Bluffton down by Hilton Head Island, but I recently relocated to Palm Beach, FL. I hope to have a shop again soon so I can crank out more videos.
What pad and paste do you use to polish windows?
Yellow Rupes foam pad and HD One polish.
@@HamptonsTouch thx bro !!!
Just got a 2021 Jeep GC. Do you worry about getting water in any of the electrical?
The most important thing about spraying down an engine bay is avoiding directly spraying critical electrical components like the fuse box and PCM. All electrical connections have seals to keep out moisture, so it’s alright to get them wet, but just be careful about the pressure you hit them with. That’s how water can get past the seals. I hold the wand as high as I can to reduce the pressure, as well as using a lower pressure nozzle. Also I don’t use a constant flow of water, I just do quick spurts of water to rinse away the suspended dirt and suds.
And congratulations on your new vehicle!
Amazing work bro ‼️ your Jeep looks super nice
Thank you!
Wow, nice work! I just bought the exact same spec 2015 SRT in bright white and chrome. I don’t have the metal pedals though. Was that an option or aftermarket?
Thanks! I’m not sure if the pedals are from the factory, it belonged to a client of mine. I know that the SRT 4’s and 10’s had these metal pedals so maybe it was an option. I had an ‘07 charger SRT8 a long time ago that had regular pedals
@@HamptonsTouch must have been and option. I did find some replacement Mopar pedal covers that look easy enough to switch out.
Now this here was really satisfying!! Love this level of detailing. 🤠👌🏽🍻🍻
I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
What solution did you use on the seats? I have this same package in my SRT and the water stains in my inserts suck
I used a diluted APC on the leather and Carpet Bomber on the suade.
Replace that damn grill man! She a 14? I got one too. And got damn bro. Hooooow? Lol
Haha I hear ya! I feel like that’s the first thing anyone does with these Jeep’s. This is a ‘15 and idk how someone let it get like this
Amazing job! One of the best I've seen. What brush did you use on the wheels?
Thank you! I used Chemical Guys wheel woolies and some generic brushes I found on Amazon.
the interior turned out awesome
loved the real time extractions
Thank you!
40hrs.....small ish compared to other detailers then overall
Knowing the correct procedures and methods helps cut down on work time
I didn’t know there was a ac air filter under the glove box
Yeah it’s pretty well hidden in the glove box
What's your power washer set up, and detailing kit?
I just use cheap pressure washers from Home Depot or Lowe’s. The one I used in this video is a Greenworks. As for the kit, I’m not sure what you mean.
In 3 hours I would have gone to the dealer and bought a new one 😂
That’s definitely preferable lol
Thanks for recording the video on that. Great stuff
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it
🔥🔥🔥
🤘😆🤘
Earned another sub my man!🔥this was fire dawg
I appreciate it! I have more videos coming soon!
Super nice my brother yea 💯💥💥💥
Thank you!
What in the clear bottle that you spray
The first bottle I use while sanding is just plain water. The second bottle I use after paint correction is a 50/50 mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol to strip the oils and fillers left behind on the paint from the polish in order to prep it for the ceramic coating.
I have the same truck in black… How much something like this would cost ?
This particular job was $3500, but prices vary based on the vehicles condition.
I’ve been watching RUclips videos for a long time, but this was by far the most impressive. You’re very talented.
@@alexc-zs3tz I really appreciate that! I’m gearing my business more towards these kinds of videos, so stay tuned for more!
What company and polish do you use along with what pads?
I used Meguairs M100 on a purple twisted wool Lake Country pad for the rotary followed be M100 on a Griot’s Garage microfiber cutting pad for the DA, and finished with 3D One on a Rupes yellow foam pad for the DA.
What does DA mean?

That’s a nice garage you have there

Looks good dude
Thank you!
Do u have any website recommendations for detail products?
I typically order a lot through Amazon for the convenience, but otherwise I use detailing.com. They have everything a detailer could need or want.
Thankyou! Do u recommend a specific brand of products that work the best
@@Alex-cs8hs every brand has their good and not so good products. I’d steer away from anything niche like Chemical Guys because most of those products don’t live up to other brands and sell at a higher price. CarPro makes a lot of great quality products, so if you’re looking to stick with a single brand, they’re a good place to start. The prices are higher than something like Mother’s or Meguairs, but the products are far superior. If you’re looking for a quality soap at a reasonable price, I always recommend Meguairs Gold Class. Its available at pretty much every retail outlet with an automotive section.
Thankyou so much!
@@Alex-cs8hs any time!
That was some good work man
Thank you!

Did you cover anything when you did the engine to protect it
Not on this particular project, I just remained mindful of how much water I sprayed around the electronics and how close I was. This pressure washer is electric, so I’ll charge it up, release the trigger to release the pressure, and immediately spray around the sensitive areas without the pressure.
@@HamptonsTouch Excellent job from taping to the whole bit! In addition to the paint, the glass had water spot etching issues also? What did you use to deal with the glass issue? You applied Ceramic Pro to all the glass including the windshield? I ask because I was going to try that on the windshield with CarPro UK 3.0, but I was told I most likely would get wiper chatter and I should use a dedicated glass product. Thanks for answering questions and keep up the great work!
@@BlackHawkPSU I was fortunate that these water spots didn’t etch into the glass, so a simple polish was more than enough to remove them. I used HD Speed on a yellow Rupes pad to clean them up. The reason I use HD Speed instead of a dedicated glass polish is that I don’t have to tape off the seals with HD Speed. It doesn’t cause any whitening of plastics and rubber trim if any gets onto it. As for coating the windshield, some vehicles such as Mercedes-Benz will cause wiper chatter as well as some Porsches. I’ve not had any issue coating any domestics yet, but I’m sure that could change. I’ve heard some guys say they’ll coat the wiper blades as well and that solves the chatter issue, but I’ve never personally tried it so I can’t say for certain if it does or not.
@@HamptonsTouch Thank you very much! I appreciate the reply!!!
@@BlackHawkPSU any time! I’m happy to help
