- It’s safe to say that Poznan has been one of the most recommended cities for us to visit in Poland and we finally made it! We had a busy day exploring this picture-perfect city and got to try the infamous Saint Martin Croissant.

BTW. Nearly whole Poland calls potatoes "ziemniak", Poznanians (?) call it "pyra" and seem to be really proud about it. One of the biggest fantasy conventions in Europe (and biggest in Poland) is organised in Poznań. Guess what - they had to call it after a potato. It's called Pyrkon.

Again, you've given me a reason to go back to Poland! I have been to Poznan many times. You've shown me some new places to visit. It is tough visiting in winter. I was there once in early March. Brrr! It is easy then to catch a cold since the air is more polluted with coal dust. I had a low level cough for a year while working in Poland. Why are you splitting up?

This was my first time watching your videos. I went searching for videos from Poznan because my material grandfather's family were from that city in poland and I wanted to see were my roots came from. I would love to find out if any of my family are still living there. I loved your video.

You really need to come and see the Polish mountains. I have watched quite a few vlogs about travelling in Poland, but almost no one is going to Zakopane or Bieszczady. In my opinion, it's way better to see that than the cities.
Hoping to see both Zakopane and Bieszczady next time :D

What a nice city Poznań is! I've never been there and I'm Polish! You know Poland now better than many Polish themselves! And I've never eaten St.Martin's croissants 😢 I know they have special white poppy seeds filling - must be delicious 😋😍

Your videos are always awesome and I'm happy to finally see you come to Poznań (wish we'd met, but maybe next time). This city is where I lived for most of my life and I have a love-hate relationship with it... and I think that's why I found it quite hard to watch this video. It's just strange to see people excited about a place that you want to leave, but can't. I don't know, weird feeling. Good video though ;)

Yes it's a city of Potato! We cooking it in every possible way ;-D
Pyrlandia comes from specific dialect of Polish language that is specifically found in Poznan. We have different words for almost everything and beck in the day person from other part of Poland would never be able to understand this dialect. Where "Pyra" or "Pyry" stuck pretty well along with few other words the rest of this what you can call separate language is slowly dying. I remember my grandfather talking to me in typical Poznan dialect and if I repeated that to people outside Poznan they didn't had a clue what I was talking about.
I actually learn some things even tho Im from Poland :P
I wanted to go to Toruń because of their videos, and I don't even live that far away. I visited last week. :D

It is the most beautiful and interesting mall in Europe. Was contest and old brewery mall in Poznań won it.

Maybe cos it's too cold? 😝 During spring or summer you should visit Kórnik city's castle... it's just 20kms away and takes only 20 mins by bus. 😉 Also Park Sołacki in Poznań looks awesome. You guys HAVE to go to zakopane its one of my favorite cities in Poland. if you love nature and mountains its a must see. Research morskie oko. So jealous of your adventures I was born in Poland but haven't been back since 2001 and now watching your vlogs makes me want to go so bad and see how the place has changed.

About potatoes:
We, the people from the first world, have forgotten what revolution brought the potato to Europe.
