whisp - Was just gonna say that! And also when She says 'pierogi' sounds proper polish, let's say for instance, if I only hear "Hala Mirowska" and "pierogi" I would say she's Polish 😄
On your way south you should see Jasna Góra Monastery in Czestochowa. It is one of the most important historical places in Poland and a place of pilgrimage.
Great video, guys! also, you've got a really dedicated polish fanbase! You should go to Indonesia and have people think that they see an upside-down version of their flag! Can't wait to see more of Poland!
I really like all the Ryszard Kaja's works (the hunting poster/postcard), his series of posters all about polish cities, towns and other things polish is just sooo good, beautiful, with a great design and so interesting to look at! And the other poster Wes likes is by Rafał Olbiński - his art (paintings and posters) is definitely worth checking out even "just" by googling it :) It is so good to see you having fun in Poland once again :)
Welcome from Toronto, CANADA. Thank you, for this lovely video. Warsaw is so beautiful city. We would love to see, this Christmas decoration, but we were in different time. Thanks again, lovely film, and you are lovely couple. Thanks
Toronto is my home! And thank you so much. Next month there will be even more decorations. Such a beautiful city and glad you enjoyed your time in Warsaw too :)
In Krakow you should visit an Independence Hill, the highets placed view point. The best time is late afternoon, during sunset (you are lucky, good weather now) or in the evening, when all the city lights are visible.
When she speaks Polish it sounds suprisingly good, really good pronunciation. 95% of foreigners butchers Polish words, her pierogi and Jedno piwo proszę sound very close to native.
Soo nice to see you again in Poland. Last year I was watching you from my hometown and now I live in Warsaw and you are here :) so cool ;) hope you have nice time here :)
Hey guys - just found your channel after doing some research for our euro trips next year and we're stoked! Thanks for making all of this content. We've full time travellers as well but spent the last year or so around Asia so really need to head that way, Poland and Croatia are in our top 3 so your channel is super helpful. If you guys are still around in May-Sep would be good to cross paths, think we have a similar sort of vibe on our channels.
Glad you're finding our videos helpful guys!! We're in Croatia now so we'll have some more content here or on the blog for you/your travels. Hoping to still be in Europe around the summer and it'd be great to meet up :)
Pierogi are awesome, time to try something more challenging, FLAKI , it is good stuff for cold weather and goes with beer , Have a nice time in Poland !
I looove watching you guys, you are very normal and calm and funny. Actually I didn't know we have a gas museum in Warsaw :x Now I know thanks to you ! Have a great time in Kraków :)
You must try the St Martin Croissant in Poznań :D Only on St Martin’s day (November 11th), Poznań natives and the many tourists eat around 250 tonnes of croissants - that is about 1.25 million individual pastries!
Domu You know, that there is an awesome Beer Museum in the south od Poland - Tychy. Train from Warsaw to Katowice (next to Tychy) is only 2:30h. You love Beer so much, come and visit Tyskie's hometown😆
I love your videos! Wow, good recommendations for my next trip to Warszawa, I see I have been 4 times or 5 times to that city and haven't seen the most things you showed in the videos! Great :) By the way, you are so a cute couple, wish you all best for your future and keep on traveling together and having fun :) Greetz from Switzerland, David-
2:04 It might have been just something funny few months ago, but lat weeks it got quite political issue in Poland. The natural environment and natural resources ministry tried to quietly implement a law enabling boars hunting (and it did), and then moos hunting (the decision was halted because of big outcry) and lately jackals hunting under excuse of them being invasive species (which is not true). Also, there was premiere of Polish movie "Pokot" (English title "Spoor") directed by Agnieszka Holland, dealing with the problem of illegal or unmoral hunting in which politicians and church local VIPs are typically involved. You should watch it. It's Polish official submission for Oscar. The lady with her legs resting on the moon is for sure some representation of Warsaw symbol - the mermaid. 5:03 Just run, run, run! It will help your circulatory system :D 6:25 The house/shelter called Dom Kereta (Keret's Home) is both piece of modern art and Polish refuge for Israeli writer Etgar Keret. He uses it sometimes during summer time when he visits Poland. AFAIR his family has Polish roots (or should we rather say his family were Polish Jews?) and he loves exploring that part of his almost forgotten identity in sense of specific climate he feels here in Poland and specifically in Warsaw Not far from that place there's another artistic installation being also kind of memorial. The virtual footbridge (A Footbridge Of Memory) over the Chłodna street. It's nicely illuminated at night and symbolically links two separate parts of WW2 Jewish Ghetto. And.... if you want to feel some of the spirit of communism, there's "Oberża pod Czerwonym Wieprzem" - a restaurant styled for one which served communist VIPs ("czerwony wieprz" meaning "the red hog" is also a synonym for communist VIP - a privileged class during communist era). 6:49 Yes, "pierogi" is already plural form. Singular for pierogi is "pieróg" (or "pierog", depending on where in Poland you are). But Poles do the same thing with many foreign words. We say "dropsy" (drops) and use "drops" as it were singular form ("1 drops"). The same with "slumsy" (and we use "slums" in Polish to denote "a small/local/isolated slum", for example describing a bedroom of typical 18 y.o. boy ;-) ); the same with "czips" (meaning one piece of chips) etc. 7:35 "Krowarzywa" is one funny name, because it has word "warzywa" (vegetables) in it, but also can be read as "krowa żywa" meaning "(the) cow (is) alive". 7:58 "Pierogi lubelskie" maybe? (pierogi from Lublin or Lublin way etc.; that's how city/regional/country adjectives work in food names) 10:27 Actually it's pronounced "Krahkoof". The accented "ó" in Polish is today pronounced exactly the same as "u" (both are like "oo" in English). The same is with "rz" and "ż" (pronounced "zh") and "ch" and "h" (pronounced "kh"; though some will not agree, as formally "h" is voiced and "ch" is voiceless and every good actor should know that).
Plural - pierogi Singular - pieróg (pronounced as "pieroog" xD) Very nice video, you guys make me wanna see a bit of Warsaw finally. The "magical place" looks so awesome! :O
You guys are so cool and funny and Felicia's pronunciation of Polish lang rox! :D And yes bro! Even I, as a native Polish/Warsavian I will never get used to this trafic light thing you mentioned in this film!
Love watching you guys! You are so positive! Enjoy our beautiful country! :) Maybe See you in Wrocław Someday - Very 🔜 It’s going to be beautiful and Very special Jarmark Dominikanski here! You definitely should come! :)
Awesome! Have fun and enjoy Wroclaw! I am sure that our Independence Day will be very interesting for you :) I regret that I am not going to be here for a weekend in Wroclaw because I would like to drink beer with you :) Cheers!
In Kraków, I could recommend: Nowa Huta: Plac Centralny, Brama, Błonia and Kopiec Kościuszki. Stare Podgórze (kładka Bernatka) and Park Bednarskiego than Kopiec Kraka. Maybe Zakrzówek.
Hi i just happened come across your vlogs out of no where lol. But you guys are cool i Subscribed :D and happy that you are in Poland i miss it :( but great vlogging keep up the great work and happy traveling :D
Great to see you were in Wilanów, although not in a palace itself (really worth a visit inside!). But better yet - you are heading to Kraków! I think you've made some plans already, but still: remember about Tyniec, Pieskowa Skała, and Eagle Nests Trail with Częstochowa sanctuary - the holiest place in whole Poland, where the heart is :) Lipnica Murowana with St Leonard's church (Unesco site) with parts of the pagan shrine, Dunajec gorge and two castles on the Czorsztyn dam lake, Dębno with the only wooden church with preserved original frescoes from XV century (Unesco site), Białka Tatrzańska with Bania terms or maybe Szaflary with Hot Springs and a catapult.... Ok I will stop now - you have no time to get there.... Well, maybe next time? ;)
You should come to Wisła on 18th and 19th November to see Ski Jump World Cup. Wisła is about 100 km from Cracow. Poland has very talented ski jumpers but maybe you could cheer some Canadian jumpers if they qualify.
Another great video! You two make me laugh! I love the cafe opener with Wes "reading" a Polish book! lol Poster art is a Polish specialty. In Krakow go to Ul Konsulata to find the shop which specializes in it. In Warsaw another quirky museum is on the top of Palac Kultury. It is the muzeum technikum I think it is called. It is filled with many old gadgets made in Poland including appliances and even a car. You might even opt to take the communist history tour to see Warsaw's past which includes a restaurant and a communist era apartment. This type of tour may also be available in Krakow.
You have a standing invitation. You can show up with hot coffee in your hand if you like. Let me rephrase that - if you show up early in the morning, you better show up with hot coffee in your hand. :D
if you don't know already - you can make photos of signs / texts in foreign languages and upload it to google translate and it translates from polish to english. as good as it gets. there's also a live - translation kinda thing. always good to have in foreign museums.
what I most like about your videos is that you show these places in such a pretty & interesting way that I am ready for boarding when only I see them. Like this time - I wanted to leave immediately and I needed a few moments to understand I live in Warsaw ;) anyway you are wrong about the marquet square in the Old Town - it’s rarely empty - in some three weeks we are going to have a pretty cool & extremely crowdy Christmas market there. You should visit the Xmas Warsaw one day :)
Aw thank you so much for your kind words! That really means a lot to us. Warsaw is a beautiful city and I hope we'll be able to see it around Christmas one day :)
This ,,small houses" on the top are not rooms. It was made to bring the light inside building. The ,,silos" is named by locals coloseum. Don't forget to see Zamość this time, you really screwed it last time. Have a great time in Poland Btw: If you visit Warsaw next time probably the highest sky scraper in europe will be finished.
The "small room" on the top of the buildngs did not belong to the artist, it was build to get light to the staircase which was in the center of the building and obviously did not have any windows.
While visiting Krakow go to Wieliczka Salt Mine, you will not be disappointed, its highly recommended! If you could, go to see Castle in Lancut, and Zakopane in Tatra mountains, its not far from Krakow!
I think in Krakow there is more people on streets :) but it depends I think many peoples leave Warsaw for All Saints Day (going to their home countryside) and they are coming back in Sunday evening/Monday morning.
Hi guys! Are you going to visit Poznan? 11th of November would be a great idea because it’s the namesday of one of our streets with colorful parade and amazing, known in the whole Poland, delicious Rogale Świetomarcinskie (don’t know how to translate it but check them out and find some images and you’ll know :)
6:58 - Not really. "Pierogi" *is plural* . Singular is "pieróg" (pron.: p-yea-roog). That is why this is funny when you say "pierogis", because you make it double-plural :P
Wow! You are thinking like me:) This is dangerous:) You must to see a Train station, 'Cafe Tramwaj' and St. Marcin Mountain where is a Great view on all city and is for free:) (www adress to this lication goo.gl/maps/FMNN2UvpGGJ2)
Yes, it was rebuild, but they used a rubble material to put it back together as much as they could. So yes and No. The Royal Castle was finally rebuild in 1970's it took about 30 years to do so. When you go inside and look at the frescoes on the walls or ceilings you will quickly noticed where the original ones are and where the restored ones are. November is one of the ugliest times of the year to visit Poland, it is damp, cold, gloomy with very short daylight hours.
Lysy2 Thats right, and in the old town some of houses survived and a lot of were only burned or partly ruined. There is also a medieval wall around the old town
Guys, I Swear your vlogs on youtube about Polish cities are the best :-) And again I found out that you had reached and explored more interesting spots than I have and yet I'm a Pole. Shame on me ;-)
Not every building was raze to the ground ;) A lot of them was just repaired so yeah. These are medieval ;) (Or newer) Great video as always :D I didn't know about many of these things! I can't wait for more :3
While still in Poland go check out St Martin Croissants from Poznan. You're a couple of days away from The Independence Day when they are available across Poland. There's even a museum dedicated to it rogalowemuzeum.pl/en/
Warsaw's deserted gas tanks were explored (rather stupidly) by a British bloke recently - you can watch his video here: ruclips.net/video/EQeBD_e_BBw/видео.html Similar (but smaller) gas museum is in a picturesque small town (with complete medieval walls around it) of Paczków in opolskie region :) Here you can view English website of their gas museum www.poland.travel/en/museum/gas-museum-in-paczkow and the website of the city: paczkow.pl/114/145/zabytki-i-atrakcje.html If you will traverse the mountains following flat land of opolskie region, you will find Bolesławiec, where the famous and colorful pottery is hand made - looks like this: duckduckgo.com/?q=boles%C5%82awiec+potteru&t=hb&iax=images&ia=images&iai=http%3A%2F%2Fjavacupcake.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2015%2F08%2FPolishPottery-172535.jpg Further along there is Kłodzko - the city and the bastion: city with many monuments and underground route and above the city the bastion - one of the most important in the Austro-Hungarian empire:www.klodzko.pl/en/for-tourists/monuments-of-klodzko
Hahahaha.. you are so right about crossing double traffic light as pedestrian .. It pisses me off mightily too.. but dont try to run thru it or you will be risking quite unpleasant fine if police catches you :)
So feel invited to my restaurant il sole in the center of the city (słowackiego 22 check fb) near the train station you had give me so many nice moment with your films that you have free dish :) only please inform me about time i have to meet you
if you like small old town in south check out Zamość , and from teh south whe have nice part here : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trail_of_the_Eagle%27s_Nests en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipowiec_Castle its nere Cracov and silesia. meybe you will also visit en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silesian_Metropolis and Cieszyn.
6:43 fel just said it like a native speaker
whisp - Was just gonna say that! And also when She says 'pierogi' sounds proper polish, let's say for instance, if I only hear "Hala Mirowska" and "pierogi" I would say she's Polish 😄
depends for who fel speaks spanish so its easier for her i guess
This couple is so unique. She is so sweet and he is so funny. Great videos, I can't stop watching!
"Jedno piwo proszę" - aww, so cute! 😍
Good to see you back in Poland, guys. Are you going to visit Gdańsk again?
I think they're planning to go more south this time, although I'm hoping for Gdańsk too! :D
You guys definitely wanna stay in Poland for the Christmas time... Poland really looks beautiful then
It's always so tempting to stay for longer!! The Christmas markets look beautiful
You guys are the nicest travel vloggers on RUclips. All your videos have so much warmth and positive energy. It's great watching you.
On your way south you should see Jasna Góra Monastery in Czestochowa. It is one of the most important historical places in Poland and a place of pilgrimage.
I could listen to Felicia saying random Polish words all day. Hala Mirowska, that was flawless, and cute at the same time.
And the other poster Wes likes is by Rafał Olbiński - his art (paintings and posters) is definitely worth checking out even "just" by googling it :)

yeah, You could totally just get a whole bunch of those cards of the artwork and cover your wall with them!
Delightful! Looking forward to the next chapter as always.
Thank you so much David!
I was smiling all the time while watching this vlog :) Thank you!

It's good to be back :)
When she speaks Polish it sounds suprisingly good, really good pronunciation. 95% of foreigners butchers Polish words, her pierogi and Jedno piwo proszę sound very close to native.
they butcher English instead...suprised you did not see how they say things in Warsaw are strange and they are confused...shocking
I love this couple!
Soo nice to see you again in Poland. Last year I was watching you from my hometown and now I live in Warsaw and you are here :) so cool ;) hope you have nice time here :)

Excellent vid. Thanks. Great to see what I am missing.
It's funny, I've lived in Warsaw for some time and yet I'm still just discovering it with you guys right now!

Rafał Olbiński is a well known Polish plakacist. You should know his poster for NY - "New York - Capital of the World"
Good to see you in Poland again
Always good to be here
These small houses on buildings in the market square are skylights in the corridor to illuminate the stairs in times when there was no electricity.
Hay guys ! nice to see you again in Poland and showing WARSAW very interesting .
God bless Poland ❤️

5:15 If you go this Street every day you know that light is short, So people go fast or run haha and the dont wait for next light
Haha - we noticed some people running too!

Copernicus Science Centre is must see (exhibition and planetarium). I recommend it to everyone who comes to Warsaw.
Fel, your Polish pronunciation is close to perfection. Thumbs up :)
if you don't know already - you can make photos of signs / texts in foreign languages and upload it to google translate and it translates from polish to english. as good as it gets. there's also a live - translation kinda thing. always good to have in foreign museums.

I love your channel and "Jedno piwo proszę" was never so cute and funny
'pierog' probably comes from the latin word pia meaning pastry, also the origin of the word pie, which in Old English also meant pastry.
Also learning from you, John! Thanks :)
Wow, I never new there would a Gas Museum in Warsaw. Putting that on a list :D. And I am Polish.
Great video! You should do Copernicus science center that was fun.
Perla beer is delicious, especially honey ale. very interesting video. What does feather in the wind meaning?
I think in Krakow there is more people on streets :) but it depends I think many peoples leave Warsaw for All Saints Day (going to their home countryside) and they are coming back in Sunday evening/Monday morning.
Oh that makes sense! It did seem like more people were out and about in Krakow than Warsaw but could also be the weather too.
Hi guys! Are you going to visit Poznan? 11th of November would be a great idea because it’s the namesday of one of our streets with colorful parade and amazing, known in the whole Poland, delicious Rogale Świetomarcinskie (don’t know how to translate it but check them out and find some images and you’ll know :)
We really wanted to but we'll be a couple of days late for St Martin :( Hopefully there will be some croissants left for us to try next week!
Feather and the Wind have you visited Poznań already? If not, you can announce it and I could show you some cool places :-)
You should come to Poznań on 11th November 😉
We're definitely coming! But we will be a little bit late for St Martin day :(

6:58 - Not really. "Pierogi" *is plural* . Singular is "pieróg" (pron.: p-yea-roog).
That is why this is funny when you say "pierogis", because you make it double-plural :P
Great movie! Meaybe You will visit Tarnów (on 1-2 hours) when You will travel to Kraków. Tarnów is not big city but is realy nice:)
We are here now ;)
I can't wait for more :3
Hey guys! Hope u enjoy Warsaw :) Let me know When you are In Paris and if you need a guide :) all best have fun
There is also a good light in the attic apartments, very important advantage, for an artist :)
"I'm an idiot", said the pigeon hihi
I feel like a tourist in my own city. ;P You teach me new things about it. ;]
Suffix -i or -y at the end of a word in Polish indicates a plural form. 'Pierogi' is already plural - singular form is 'pieróg'.
there are many more picturesque places in Poland and breathtaking.

Pretty good Polish! !:) when you gonna visit Silesia / katowice? ?
We will be filming in Katowice tomorrow :)
While still in Poland go check out St Martin Croissants from Poznan. You're a couple of days away from The Independence Day when they are available across Poland. There's even a museum dedicated to it rogalowemuzeum.pl/en/
Warsaw's deserted gas tanks were explored (rather stupidly) by a British bloke recently - you can watch his video here: ruclips.net/video/EQeBD_e_BBw/видео.html
Similar (but smaller) gas museum is in a picturesque small town (with complete medieval walls around it) of Paczków in opolskie region :) Here you can view English website of their gas museum www.poland.travel/en/museum/gas-museum-in-paczkow and the website of the city: paczkow.pl/114/145/zabytki-i-atrakcje.html If you will traverse the mountains following flat land of opolskie region, you will find Bolesławiec, where the famous and colorful pottery is hand made - looks like this: duckduckgo.com/?q=boles%C5%82awiec+potteru&t=hb&iax=images&ia=images&iai=http%3A%2F%2Fjavacupcake.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2015%2F08%2FPolishPottery-172535.jpg Further along there is Kłodzko - the city and the bastion: city with many monuments and underground route and above the city the bastion - one of the most important in the Austro-Hungarian empire:www.klodzko.pl/en/for-tourists/monuments-of-klodzko
