Of course it is true, you can look up a dictionary for "Geiß" also written "Geiss" (as the ß is a german special character which can be substituted by two "s" characters. Here is a link: de.langenscheidt.com/deutsch-englisch/geiss
Many years later but thank you for reminding me how to do this, so simply. Also need to remember to adjust the size of the object, if you need to, first, not after, you do all of this projection. Thanks a bunch!
Beautiful! One thing I'm still having trouble with, tho, is mapping onto a set of curved surfaces - for instance: a couch cushion. I can do the top. Or one side at a time. But I want to do the whole thing at once. Is this possible?
Hey Justin, can you pls make a tuts about how to make chesterfield/tufted sofa in fast and lightweight way? I made one by using sandbox+shape bender and it's so heavy
That I don't have an answer to. I know that some programs like Vray can export render elements, which are like pre-selections for photoshop so that you can paint them that way, but I don't know if extensions like Wrap-R have a similar function or not...
I'm wondering if you could export the model from UE4 to Blender in .fbx format to create the UV map after using Datasmith to import the model to UE4. Seems like an extra step or 2 if a SketchUp plugin doesn't do UV unwrapping. A fantastic reliable UV unwrapper would be awesome for SketchUp.
I'm also gonna play with Wrap-R to see if it will export a png to edit in PS and how well the UV map works in EU4. It has to export a UV map of some sort.
"Geis" is a german word and translated it means "Goat". You are the G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Times) in sketchup! Thank you for your tutorials!
Lol - I have no idea if this is accurate or not, but thanks very much! :)

Are the UV maps exportable so I can paint them in PS?
