  • Prosecutor Creighton Waters wrapped up his closing arguments by slamming Alex Murdaugh for the lies and thefts investigators believe led to him allegedly murdering his wife and son in June 2021. “Everyone’s lying on the master liar,” Waters said explaining the state’s witnesses’ testimonies don’t match up with the disgraced lawyer’s story. “Shame is an extraordinary provocation,” Waters said detailing why he believes Alex killed Maggie and Paul. “His ego couldn’t stand that and he became a family annihilator.”

I've never been so convinced of someone's guilt based on circumstantial evidence. Right from the start, the first thing he says to the deputy is "it's a long story', his wife and son were brutally shot behind him and he's already laying down an alibi. The most telling thing for me is when he was on the stand and stuttering his way through, claiming the pills made his memory bad. His own defence team looked at the ceiling as if to say, well you've just screwed us. He may have been on pills but he was able to recall all their dates of birth at the murder scene and have the alibi ready. He wasn't concerned that there may be a killer on the loose. Why didn't they kill Alex too? By this point, even his own defence team knows he's guilty but they have to defend him, no matter what. At no stage have I seen or heard anything in the form of actual facts from his defence team, merely fanciful stories that would be a credit to AM himself. Their case is based on tears and sympathy. They have nothing else. If this monster is found not guilty this jury will go down in history as the dumbest set of humans since OJ. I believe that he was involved in the housekeeper's death and that this house of cards will continue to fall after the verdict.

This is what happens when the enemy gets a foothold on someone. Do I believe that AM is guilty? Do I believe that AM is capable of these murders? It really doesn't matter what I believe..... God knows the truth and he will have final authority when it all comes down....So to Alex Murdaugh, his family, the victims, their family, also to anyone who has to deliberate on the jury.... I humbly pray that God covers your with the Peace of Christ. The peace that passes all understanding of man. Only God knows what needs to be said or needs to be done to get this wrapped up. They are completely traumatized and unable to communicate for hours .Maybe He’s the one who can control his emotions, but if in his shoes , the most important thing to me would be to find who shot and killed my family . Don't get me wrong, I think AM is GUILTY OF MURDER, absolutely. But, just saying that his twisted MOTIVE is harder to understand, whereas in the case of O.J. is was just blind rage, crime of passion against an ex-lover, common as dirt, and completely comprehensible...in fact, I will go so far as to say that it could happen to anybody. That would be a significant reason to kill her when his back was up against the wall. And what about the house at the beach where she was staying? @@SaintSimonTrenf Yeah good point, what evidence is there? It should be easier to tie him to the crime with evidence rather than claim he's a liar, sounds like they have nothing.

Well done Mr Waters! I just thought about one detail too: Who is the parent the supposely come home and find his beloved son and wife, but specially the son with the brains out and he saw his phone fall off of his pocket and then thinks about putting back? So many details, so many lies...I hope the jurors can see it.
