I wish you would talk more about receiver options. I just don’t know which one to use. 😂😂😂 Sorry I couldn’t resist. Maybe one of the best receiver tutorials you have ever done. Thank you Sir. It is amazing knowledge to have with having Safe, AS3X, Reflex, Vector and other systems being used. You’re awesome.
Great bird. But from the get go, i run carbon spars down the fuse to the nose for extra stability. i carve in slots and epoxy them in. World of difference.
I've added an Avian 80amp ESC and ran the power lead from it to the Reflex and the data/control lead to my AR8020. Full telemetry with a Reflex channel and thrust reverse BAABBYYY!
Was going for the NX10 but pull the trigger on the IX14 instead, gonna run a few 10 channels and still keep my safe select, plus the fact that these stabilisation are demanding more channels says a lot, fact that your NX8 is basically fully used up on a normal FMS plane makes me think the NX10 isn’t enough going forward 😂
I had one of these for 2yrs. I must of had 25-30 flights on it. I was awesome in the air ..Landing was a dream but the P factor was a bit of a issue when taking off from Petra mat. Last summer on the base leg of a landing , I dropped the flaps and gear about 2-3 seconds apart.. With the throttle at 3/4 (like always) it it pulled violently to the left and spun in from about 50'. At the crash site I found the left flap and retract had deployed but the right landing gear and flap did nothing, As well, the tail wheel was still inside the fuselage and not deployed. Later at home, I gathered all the pieces and rehooked them up on the dining room table....surprisingly everything worked....I still have no idea why this happened...I love this plane but I won't rebuy it until I can figure out what happened........When assembling the wings, I unscrewed the wing connector plug and let this connection float in the pocket so there was no stress on this electrical joint...if anyone has found this happened with there's and have a solution...I'd love to hear it
I lost orientation of mine a few weeks ago. After an arduous walk thru the brush to get it back, I will need at least a new prop and new set of wings to get it back in the air. I might borrow the motor and for another plane but it was such a good flyer eventually I will fix it. With the wide and squat landing gear, ground handling is not so exciting. Plenty of power for me.
Just a heads up Brian,,,recvd my P-47 yesterday and had the same problem with the Elevator assy. I popped off the Rudder ( Just 3 clips- just pull & unsnaps ) and even though the 2 halfs were meeting, when the Rudder was off o could see the plastic jointer ( that connects the 2 wasn't going in all the way.) And its hard to tell when the back half of the Rudder is on. I snapped it in and WHAMMO the 2 Elevators holes lined right up,,,So just so everyone knows, Pop off the rear half of the Rudder when installing the Elevator it will save you frustration and wrinkles from pushing so hard !!!!! Second thing is you were wondering why the Main Gear Doors warp up,,,mine does two, and doing a bit of research found out that previously they had some issues with the gear doors catching each other and breaking off or binding,,,so i think that solves the problem,,,looks like it does to me,,,,, Anyways,,,Thanks for the Unbox,,,makes many of us feel at ease building and hearing you WHOOPS, ( AND MEGANS : ) perspective on our hobby... Enjoy you guys so much,, Terry
I would rather watch unbox and build then a good movie I have learned a lot. Can't wait for better weather I'm in VT. Snuck in a couple flight's though
Be sure to check the next item over. On FMS's website they have separate listings for US shipping vs Canadian shipping, so make sure you have the right one... it's a little confusing. Sometimes, if it's out of stock in one location, it won't show up at the top of the search results. I just checked the bprc.me/FMS_P47 though and it looks like it's out of stock in both locations. :(
It seem you just sold me a other plane Beautiful D Jug my favorite.... Well I would prefer a European theater Skin delivery but i can t resist No this is not black and white D Day invasion strip paint but 348th FG, 460th FS paint skin who flow in the Philippines in late 44
EPO Foam Density = 20 g/dm3 EPP Foam Density = 20 g/dm3 Yeah, it must be the way the foam finishes??? Maybe you can't paint it to save a life? FMS has gone to EPO 52 foam from the previously used EPO 40 foam on some of these new bigger planes.
This is actually my dream rc plane and I am buying one finally after years of sitting on the idea I decided I'd get one
Just ordered this plane so thank you for the really good unboxing and honest assembly.
You're very welcome, and good luck!

You can get all that knowledge from your local field members, thats how i learned . youll never find it on line jeff.. Good luck!

Great detailed video!! Thanks Brian and Meg
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!

Thanks Terry! Glad you mentioned that, since I did have one heck of a time getting the horizontal stab/elevators together.

you use a very small tip screwdriver and push from the back with the connector on a hard surface and push till it pops but it is not easy
Brian you'll do anything just to avoid going downstairs to get your soldering iron. 😂
Dude, we need a 2.1m Carbon Z P-47 so bad!! Huh’Need one in 2.1m.
I'm going to buy this, but I won't be installing the bombs until they are painted a proper green.
Cool, Thanks! She's a beauty, but didn't really even give the ordnance a second thought...but good point
noice
says on the website only ship to canada.... I guess exception is made for BP,,, :)

But Brain lol ... where does the fuel go?😅
why dont companies use epp instead epo epp seems more durable

I can still hear your wife to still
