I just pre-ordered your book. Seems that the actual book isn’t available in Germany yet, so I start with the ebook.
Got my diagnosis yesterday, at the age of 47, and it’s scary how this explains almost everything in my life.
I can relate to that. I was 46 years old when I got my diagnose. Its a wonderfull and also sadd. But now, its a blessing. I love my brain .

Just purchased the book through B&N Nook and am part way through the 2nd chapter. I'm really struggling with a lot right now. One of the biggest take-aways I'm getting is how it's ok to love myself. I'm in a place where I constantly feel like I'm failing at my job, as a dad, and even just taking care of our home. I constantly feel like I'm not enough.
Having a reminder that it's ok to love myself is huge right now. Thank you so much for writing this book. I promise to hang onto the quarter until I get through this. 😅

Does anyone know how to deal with adhd and braces??? Bc I just got mine like yesterday and ive already had like 7 breakdowns bc of the sensory issues and anxiety about how they look and how I literally cannot take them off for the next like 1 1/2 years
ADHD (& in the spectrum here). Had braces for 1½ years IIRC; had mine removed in 2011.
Honestly, it's just like that in the first few weeks :( (also flares up after every time they tighten/readjust the braces). You should get mostly used to it though.
And after I had mine removed, it actually felt pretty weird NOT having braces (despite being freeing) since I was so used to the hassle & "the braces' company in my mouth"-I almost felt sad. 😹
