Your work on this channel is the reason I can now hold down a job. RUclips recommended your channel shortly after I was given my third and final warning at work. You helped me realise that I had ADHD, and that I could get help for the things I had been struggling with. I've had friends and family laugh when I said I thought I have ADHD, saying "you can't have ADHD, you have a degree", "you sit on your butt all day, you're not hyper at all", but whenever I doubted it, I had your videos to come back to, to reassure me. A year and a half later, I am now on medication, and things are looking up. I can finally do my job without the constant worry of "when will they notice I'm not doing enough", or beating my self up for being "lazy".
I want you to know how grateful I am for all the work you have put into this channel. You directly played a huge part in helping me get back to being happy in my life again, and I'm not sure I would have made it if I hadn't stumbled onto your channel.
I have pre-ordered your book, and I can't wait to skim read the chapter titles before forgetting about it for 3 months until I finally get around to reading it properly.
    Thank you.

Congratulations! This is a huge achievement, and I'm so excited to read the book! Your videos have helped me learn so much about myself, and I'm so happy there's going to be a whole new outlet for people to find your work. It's going to make a big difference in people's lives. ❤

I have a lifetime of so many unexplained things (and we've recently realised that my dad does too). Having it written down aaalways helps with processing concepts and ideas, and just in general learning more about myself. Just being able to explain something to my neurotypical gp can often be a challenge. But here I can go 'read this paragraph please'.

The more I learn of Adhd, the more my life makes more sense if I apply this new understanding and your videos, when I can get through them (sorry), are really helping with "bad habits" or 'insert catchphrase here'. As a person who is not a book person I am very excited about this book and also the fact that it is non book people friendly and I can flip around. I adore your channel and been watching since almost the begining. Or pretty darn close. I have always been impressed with your research, your ability to make things understandable and simple for everyday ADHD folk. I have been learning from you and separately over the years through other speakers and the knowledge and overlap is fantastic. You are a research rockstar. You really do a great job of making us feel not alone out there for struggling with these things but also providing some small doable changes or reframing that can get us out of our negative mindset and into one of acceptance of how our brains work and strategy options that are more likely to work with our brains instead of against. But are also adaptable for what we need on whatever season we are in. Thanks Jessica. ❤ I really appreciate how much passion and yourself you have put into this channel and now this book. I know it will be a great tool for us and touch the lives of many who may not have had the pleasure of coming along on the journey yet. Congratulations on the book.

I was diagnosed recently, in my 30s, and your channel has helped me immensely both at work and at home - it got to a point before my diagnosis where my marriage was genuinely in jeopardy, and your relationship and communication videos have helped my wife and I bridge a ton of gaps and, honestly, saved our relationship. I've even just straight up linked your videos to friends and colleagues (and even my boss) to help explain something I struggled with at a given time, because you communicate it so much better than I ever could. Thank you wholeheartedly for your channel and everything you've done to challenge stigmas and talk openly, especially about the hard stuff; I've cried watching some of your videos because they're so helpful. Keep fighting the good fight, I can't wait to see where you take this in the future! (Definitely impulse-preordered a copy for myself and another for my wife)

I was diagnosed about 6 years ago (as an adult) and I only found your channel a couple of months ago when RUclips seemed to randomly serve up the first "Wall of Awful" video. Since then I've watched many of your videos and realize I know very little about ADHD despite living with it my whole life. Being diagnosed late in life meant that for me, it explained a lot, but I didn't get much support on dealing with it. Meds have not been the boon for me that they seem to have been for others, so I've been desperate for information about how to manage. Thank you so much for your channel and your book. It's obvious that you pour yourself into it all and I'm so grateful for that. Congrats on finishing the book!

Congratulations Jessica! This has been a long journey to get the book out there and now you can bask in the fact that it's done and ready to start shipping soon (and trying to not worry about inevitable requests for a book tour and all the planning that entails 😅)
You were the first resource a friend of mine recommended when I received my diagnosis several years ago (at 33). Been a long time brain viewing your channel and how much it has grown over the years. ❤

Congratulations! That is certainly no small endeavor to accomplish. And I didn't know you did a TED talk. I was so moved by your presentation. I couldn't stop tearing up. And it made me feel proud of you and myself. Also never apologize for having been diagnosed with ADHD or the things I've yet to do in life. Although I've accomplished many good things. The people I've helped, even some to the point of saving lives. One impulsive characteristic I have is running toward danger to help people. That impulse... I refuse to feel bad about. I sent your TED talk to my parents in hopes that they will watch the entire video and maybe understand, accept me, and maybe support me in getting treated. Thank you!

@@zeromotivation1817 So true! And she sets a great example herself. The difficulty is finding real non stigmatized support. Taking ownership with the name? You have so much motivation... It's just your brain's neurotransmitters not wanting to cooperate with ambitious dreams. I can take all sorts of substances and my neurotransmitters just won't be affected apart from ADHD meds. Plus I was in a motorcycle accident the road rash damaged my small bowel. So even absorbing nutrition is a problem. Now my doctor is cutting back his patient load. I am one of those patients. I took all these modern tests and now I have to find new care. Build years of new rapport. This too shall pass.

Years ago I have watched your videos, and I don't think back then I thought about getting a diagnosis, I was just learning... But I kept coming back to your videos.
Last year around this time I went to my general practitioner to get a transfer to a psychiatrist for me to diagnose. The GP is specialised in ADHD and she gave me some of papers that have info about ADHD and self-help tips; one of the links was your channel. I got my medical diagnosis in February. After the age of 28, I was able to improve my life. Even though so much going on in my life, it helped me deal with depression as well. Lots of self-development, habits implementing, therapy, yoga etc... Congrats on the book Jessica! I can't wait to read it. -Some brain from Berlin.

Been binging your channel the last couple of months because it all explains my ENTIRE life perfectly (now age 33). EVERYTHING makes sense now. Next step - seeking diagnosis... eventually! 😆
Regardless of the outcome of that, your channel has allowed me to finally start to understand myself. I just pre-ordered the book, and I'm looking forward to forgetting that I did so that I get a nice surprise come January! 🤣
Because you probably also do the thing where you easily dismiss / forget about the good things people tell you you've done, here's a reminder: Jess - you are an inspiration in general, and in particular to people with these struggles, and you and your team are changing and saving lives! Congrats on the book!

I truly hope that this book will be popular enough to be translated into Swedish. I would love to get it for my mom in the future, since it's now confirmed that one of my nieces has ADHD, besides me and my other niece who has Audhd.
My mum tries to help and be understanding, but since her English is extremely basic, much of this channel goes over her head sadly and I'm not always as good as explaining as Jessica is, even though I do my best, so she can at least understand a bit.
Kudos to her though, I got my ASD diagnosis when I was 26, so about 14 years now and I've recently started my journey to get diagnosed with ADHD, after getting the suspicion a few years ago from this very channel, and she has done her best to try to understand me and dad. Because yes, it came from my dad, which was why it was missed for so long, I was just like my dad.
Anyway I can't wait until I can get a copy of this book and read with my nieces :)

So super PROUD of you! I've been here since the beginning of ⁶ you are starting the book and your struggles to finish. this is such a huge accomplishment! I thank you for helping me come to terms with my late diagnosis as well as helping me find where my passion lies. I've always been a coach to others, working with children and adults, but I could NOT figure out where I could turn that into a business to where I feel the passion and burn for it. I've finally found that with ADHD for my sister's of color, and I doubt I would be able to do that if I couldn't come to terms with my own struggles and diagnosis! Super super proud, and I THANK YOU!!!❤
