What would you pick: popcorn 🍿 or dried fruit 🍓?

I know that sweetcorn raises the blood sugar so I avoid it, hower, what about popcorn? I get confused with corn because it's high in fibre. If there is no sugar added, is it okay to eat plain popcorn? Can you give the reasons why or why not? Will it still raise BS?

@@christine1962ful plain popped popcorn can be a great snack, whole grain, and like you said a source of fiber! We snack on popcorn quite often 😋

That was absolutely fantastic how you helped to make a realistic view on the amount of fibre in a meal! Will be writing these down till I know by memory. I'm just starting to consciously increase my fibre, and this is by far, the BEST, uncomplicated, easy to understand explanation I have seen! Please do more! New subbie!

I am trying to eat more fiber for a year now, but are these numbers really acuurate? I don´t live in america, but for the tofu and broccoli stir fry - broccoli has around 5grams of fiber per cub (cauliflower even less) , tofu not really any fiber and 2/3 cup of peanuts have 9g fiber - so for 23 grams of fiber you would have to eat like 4 cups of veggies + some peanuts for a single serving to get to that amount , right? I add like 2 bellpepers, 1 1/2 cup of broccoli, 2 onions and some carrots to each lunch (2 serving) , eat 2 fruits and two slices of bread (3.5-4.5 grams of fiber per slice) with some cucumber daily and barely get to 25grams a day. The only time I don´t struggle with my fiber intake is with chili sin carne - this is where I can get between 16-20 grams of fiber per serving).

A veggie burger and hummus, I’d rather get constipation.

And all of these ingredients are only at a cost you just shy of $800

I don’t necessarily agree- plant based foods are often much cheaper than meats. Flour, fruit, beans/legumes, rice. These are all affordable foods!
