Am I missing something, or could your proportions be off? For 1/2c. milk, you use 2 tbsp chia. Multiply both sides by 4, to maintain the proportions, and 2c milk should get 8 tbsp chia. That's 1/2 c. of chia. You say you're using 1/4 c.
@Doc Atheist Hi there - I believe I did say 1/2 cup of chia seeds in the video when I discuss the batch prepping portion. Can you tell me where it was stated as 1/4 cup of chia?
I'm a teacher and I have to say that you are an excellent teacher. The way you presented the recipes, from speaking slowly and clearly, to writing out the instructions, and showing everything step by step--those are all the best teacher practices that I have been taught. This was awesome to watch, thank you!
Wow, thank you so much for the amazingly kind words! This is actually one of the best comments I've received here and it made my day, so I really appreciate it. I always try to present the information in the most accessible way I can to make it easily digestible for anyone - even someone with zero cooking experience. So it's incredibly rewarding to hear those comments coming from a teacher :) Thank you so much!
I agree as well! Your videos are excellent, Toasty Apron. Perfectly paced, great angles, good non-invasive music and really nice narration. Smooth and friendly. I love that your videos show several ways to use an ingredient, such as oat flour or chia seeds. You give the base recipe, then repeat it in brief for every iteration. I think this locks the idea in peoples’ minds and encourages not only confidence but also experimentation. Plus, you talk about related things, like the tools of cooking, serving and storing. New subscriber!
Dyslexic here, your voice is soothing, your information easy to understand and concise. And because you repeated the base each time I was able to retain it as I can learn well with both visuals and repetition. Thanks so much! I’m going to make this for my husband and myself using real dark chocolate chips 😋
I absolutely love the way you teach. I get really frustrated with long videos and a lot of unnecessary talking...Your videos are perfect! Thank you 😊 Many blessings
Thank you so much for the kind comments! They really do mean a lot. I'm so glad you enjoy the teaching/presentation format and that you find it helpful 😀 Appreciate the support!
This is the type of information I need!!! Instead of using 3 tablespoons whole chia, I could whizz in the spice grinder and cut those calories in half, 1.5 tablespoons for the same thickness, love it.
I've always failed at chia pudding because I was unaware of the "5 minute rest and repeat" rule. Thank you for that vital piece of info. Now I'm about to make chia pudding a staple in my diet again!
For sure! Yes that step is super important to make sure the chia pudding gets mixed together properly and to prevent clumping :) Thanks so much for watching, I'm glad you found the video helpful!
I make cashew milk for my chia pudding. 1 cup raw cashews covered with water refrigerated over night. Drain next morning, dump in blender and add 4 cups water and 1-3 seeded dates. Blend on high for 2 minutes. I top the chia pudding with fresh berries. Love it.
Wait, am I missing something here. So 1 cup of raw cashew is over 700 cal. Im not trying to consuming 1000 calories in 1 small bowl of pudding. That is insane.
If you try cutting back on the sweetener little by little, you eventually may not need any more sweetener at all, the fruit will be plenty sweet for you as it is! I went nearly "cold turkey" on sugar for this past month and I have been shocked at how sweet fruit tastes to me now. I can barely stand cakes and cookies anymore; which is insane because I was eating 6 cookies per day for a while lol. And YES I went through intense sugar withdrawals. It took one and a half weeks to overcome.
My husband and I went on carnivore for a few months and it personally helped me with regulating sugar and learning to read labels and be more intentional with what I put in my body. Little by little I began adding things bacj in to my diet. Hope this helps! @@sim5781
Only way is really to do it cold turkey. It will take about 10 days before the sugar urge wear of and you need to know going into it that those days will absolutly suck. But afterwards any fruit you eat will become increadibly tasty and sweet while normal dessert food will feel like to much sugar.
I totally agree! They're such a great time saver, and because they're already pre-ripened, they taste great right out of the bag. Frozen peaches and pineapples are two of my other favs as well!
And where I live, it’s hard to get really good mangoes because they have to pick them too early, like I used to get in Puerto Rico…so the frozen ones are ripe and taste amazing!

I've heard of chia pudding and I eat chia seeds with vanilla ice cream (believe it or not) but I never realized how easy chia pudding could be until now. You've really inspired me. Thank you.

Wow, thank you so much for saying that - I really appreciate it! I'm glad you enjoyed it and inspired you to give it a try - it's delicious and so simple (and feel free to check out my Overnight Oats video as well for another easy meal prep!). Thanks for watching!
Be aware of consuming too much chia pudding ! Only eat as part of a properly balanced diet. Be sure to drink plenty of water if you consume it every day.
@@chelseaandhobbesI almost died. Ate too much. It clumped up in my intestines into a size of a big apple. I could barely passed it through. I literally almost died from my colon bursting. I didn't touch chia seeds forc10y from fear. Now, I eat only 1/2 cup of it few times a month.
My wife had just sent me this video, I was totally unaware that you're supposed to let it sit for 5 minutes and then stir again. And so everytime that I have tried anything with Chia seeds in the past they always got soaked lumpy and I've never enjoyed them so much. But this has helped tremendously! And the recipes are great! Made 6 of them last week and they were delicious. Will be doing so again this weekend with some lemon zest. Thanks for these simple, yet yummy healthy puddings.
I rarely if ever put a sweetener in my chia pudding. It tastes great on its own (I use pea-based milk the most). Having said that, I thank you for your ideas on the various puddings. I'll certainly try them.
Amazing! I'm always so happy to hear when a simple tip (like the 5 min resting period) helps a viewer out so much. Thanks for watching and for the support!
I used to make chia pudding several years back - have no idea why I stopped but coming across your video gives me inspiration to give each one of the recipes a try! Thanks for sharing.

I make my own milks, oat, hemp, nuts, etc. So I was thrilled to watch your recipes! I have made chia puddings before, and liked them, but your recipes have created a spark in me!! I usually layer chia seeds with fresh or dried fruit, or a combo - try dried seeded dates and a crisp apple😍

Thank you so much for watching! I agree, chia pudding is amazing in so many ways - convenient, nutritious and so versatile, it's something I quickly whip up often, just to have ready to grab-and-go anytime (and saves me from munching on a bag of chips or a bowl of ice cream!)
That’s awesome… I do the frozen berries… love that you added coconut. I love mangos so I use the frozen mangos in the winter. Like all your flavours and I’ll try them… I travel for work and they’re awesome. Thank you for sharing . 💐
Thank you love it when recipes are simple because who has time for complicated recipes. I think I am going to try them all to see which ones I like best.
I made your mango and coconut chia pudding. I caught a small taste and it catapulted me straight to a tropical island. A little mini-vacay. I also experimented with a peanut butter and jelly idea by adding pb2, maple syrup, and homemade oat milk(SO much cheaper homemade) to the base, then blending it extra well(this one will get chunky without the extra five minute blend, no doubt), and layering the pudding with a strawberry preserve. It's nostalgic and tasty, and this pregnant lady is now ready to tackle her next few days' worth of cravings!
First time I’ve ever had a “healthy” breakfast and felt happy, satisfied, and didn’t end up in a binge cycle! Felt like dessert for breakfast, but without the guilt! How I did it: Cup of milk::3 tablespoons of chia 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract Honey Cinnamon Frozen berries!
I've loved chia seed pudding since forever and I didn't want to pay dollars for a small portion in cafes. So I made my own too! But I have a thing for savory desserts and if you have the same taste buds, try topping it with peanut butter, granola and pretzel biscuits!
They're so much better and more cost effective to make at home! Thanks so much for watching, and I'll definitely have to give that PB/granola/pretzel combo a try!
I'm so glad it helped inspire you to experiment with different flavour combinations! Chia pudding can be so fun to play around with and be creative with. Thanks for watching, have fun!

I enjoyed this video, it inspired me to start making chia pudding again. I'll try each of these. My son loves chocolate so I made a chocolate one, with oat milk, pumpkin seed protein powder, maple syrup, cocao powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon and sun butter.

That's a great tip! I'll have to give that a try as I love the taste of tapioca pudding. Thanks for sharing!
I adore tapioca pudding. Thanks!
Mounkfruit is a great sweetener very low in calorie
Maple syrup is healthier then agave syrup.
These are awesome ideas. Look so delicious. I used chia seeds long time, I just mix them with green tea; never think about it like these. Thank you so much for sharing! I definitely follow these. 🌹👍💕

Thanks so much for watching!
Excellent video! I have also failed at chia pudding because of that 5 min resting period so kudos to you for this profound info! Love it ❤

Hey there, is there anyway you could create some videos covering the topic of Make Ahead and then Freeze for Convenience meal prep ideas? I am really interested in ways to spend say an entire weekend prepping and freezing portioned proteins etc and then having a simple dinner by just grabbing parts from the freezer. I would love to see your take on this type of prep. Thanks for the amazing content otherwise.
Absolutely! That's a fantastic idea for a future video. I do have a video on this topic with meal prepping Quinoa Power Bowls, if you're interested feel free to check it out! ruclips.net/video/AlSvyLG1etI/видео.html
Really I was looking the recipe to use Chia seed and your presentation has fulfilled my need. Since I am a diabetic so I will adjust these as per my needs. Thanks for loading

That's so amazing to hear! Thank you so much for the kind words - I'm happy that the recipes have created a spark in you to continue exploring and trying new things! Dates and a crisp apple sound delicious :)
Stay away from oat milk..spikes your blood sugar, it’s concentrated carbs.. stick with coconut milk instead
I just made the chocolate banana, the mango coconut, and a variation of the berry one. I took a nibble of each and they taste delicious. Thank you

@@toastyapron Serious word of warning. Another channel I listen to... he got ripped off. He signed a contract and they now own his voice! I hear it on a lot of commercials. Get a very good acting lawyer to assure you are protected.

Wow! Excellent recipes. Now I know how to eat the fruits that I am allergic to. Thank you. ❤
Thanks so much for watching!
The mango coconut really is like a mini tropical vacay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it - and the pb&j sounds delicious! Thanks so much for watching!
First time I’ve ever had a “healthy” breakfast and felt happy, satisfied, and didn’t end up in a binge cycle! Felt like dessert for breakfast, but without the guilt!
How I did it:
Cup of milk::3 tablespoons of chia
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Honey
Cinnamon
Frozen berries!
Amazing! Thanks so much for sharing and for giving these a try - I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Great job! I used to make chia pudding and eat it plain but you've inspired me to be more creative!!!
I'm so glad it helped inspire you to experiment with different flavour combinations! Chia pudding can be so fun to play around with and be creative with. Thanks for watching, have fun!

Amazing! That sounds like a delicious combination of ingredients :) Thanks so much for watching and hope you enjoy experimenting with different recipes!
always grind the chia seeds first then soak overnight and blend in a blender with the other ingredients to make certain it won't damage intestines
