So you basically made cacık without slicing them into tinier pieces like we have in Turkiye as side dish next to our dishes. I agree that its yummy. we have both watery and drier version like you did so watery one is good next to oily dishes and drier version like you do is good next to dishes but also really yummy as spread too!
This looks delicious! Makes me think of tzatziki sauce but better! In the Southern states of America, we enjoy cucumber sandwiches. Mix equal parts Mayo and cream cheese, smear on soft white bread and add a cucumber slice. Can top with dill also but I bet that the chive in the mayo mixture would be delicious! I’m going to try it! ❤
This is probably one of the best ASMR videos ever and one of the best channels. I love the fact that there was no unnecessary talking or music. Just plain old ASMR.
ASMR? With all the loud chopping, pounding and clattering at the beginning?! Noooo….. I had to immediately mute the sound! Rather than being relaxing, this could quickly trigger a migraine for me. There are many other cooking channels that have thoughtfully produced ASMR sound experiences. This is *not* that, at least not for me. I still appreciate the recipe, though.
In the beginning of the preparation made me remember sunomono 😋 but it was a better version of tzatziki 🤩. In Brazil, we call this legume as Japanese cucumber but this shown in the video look much more crunchy 😍. I'll prepare this for sure. Thanks !

I did not expect that dill is very expensive for you. Here we treat it as a natural plant. The important thing is that you try the recipe and be happy.
Quick question: is the water removed from the cucumber so that it doesn't go bad and we can store it for a long time? Or do I have to remove water because it's a crucial process?

Interesting. This is very similar to a version of cacık (you may know it by the name tzatziki) in eastern Turkey. Noone even in western Turkey knows it:) but we add green peppers, parsley and butter as well.
Sounds delicious. This recipe is just a narrowed down version of Mediterranean cucumber salads too
@@txtftive Yes of course. But I was talking about "van cacığı", it is a bit different than what we have everywhere in Turkey.
I also thought of cacik wathing this.
I love cucumbers 🥒 this looks absolutely delicious 🙆♀️, Thank you for sharing this recipe with us ❣
I hope you enjoy making it and eating it. I hope you always have a fun, happy, and healthy day. ☺️
In Bulgaria we have a similar salad called Snezhanka (Snow White) where we use grated cucumber, 10% fat yogurt, dill, olive oil, garlic and chopped walnuts. Add water and it becomes a refreshing summer soup called Tarator 😊
Thank you for good information. Have a nice and healthy day. ☺️

I love tarator and shopska! Bulgarian salads are amazing!
Love the recipe, love the bloopers and perfect imperfection
I will go make this salad rn, I am making many recipes as I just received tons of cucumbers recently

Being Greek I just realized you made what we Greeks called Tzatziki! Good stuff!
But you grate the cucumber in tzaziki and put olive oil?
O cacık. Ve Türkiye’ye ait. Kendinize gelin.
it's "cacık" from türkiye
Cacık
baklavaki
Thank you for introducing this! I've never seen a recipe like this in the southern United States, but I made it and it's absolutely delicious! Thank you, thank you! Can't wait to make it again today! We just happily subscribed! I agree with the comment saying, "loved everything about this"!! 🎉❤🤗
Today is the first time I saw your video, and I really love it! Not only do I get to learn about healthy recipes, that are so far not complicated, but I also get a laugh from your mishaps and humor! I feel like I’m getting A physical and mental health boost!! Thank you thank you!😂🥰

Cucumber, yogurt, and dill is an excellent combination. I learned mast-o-khiar from my Persian partner decades ago. I love your version for the cucumber toast.
Amei a receita e o bom humor!

It is like Cacık! Cacık is a Turkish appetizer that it can made cucumber, yogurt, water, salt, garlic and fresh mint (or dry mint). You should eat with a spoon :)
It’s exactly like tzatziki, although they use dill instead of spring onion and cut the cucumber in different way.
The recipe is for tzatziki. Watch it from the beginning. Dill is apparent,y hard to get in Korea.
I was coming to say the same. And if you mix the yogurt with water, you get tarator, which is a Bulgarian cold soup, typically made during the summer
See, this is why Asian people are so healthy, thin and youthful.
What they do with any and every vegetable on the planet is just amazing.

The cucumber salad looks delicious! I will be making this soon! Where did you purchase the container shown at 2:45? It is very cute, I would like to get one for myself 😊
It is an airtight container called Gottman.
Thanks❤

If no Greek yoghurt what can I use? Normal yoghurt??
You can use thick yogurt, I don't recommend liquid yogurt. 😓
Beautiful video, I would love to try making this. Thank you ❤
This is probably one of the best ASMR videos ever and one of the best channels.
No trash talk! No Un-necessary Music! Straight to the point! Subtitles accompanied!
Awesome!!!!
This is a cacık (Turkish food) and not greek yogurt, it is a Turkish yoğurt (is name turkish yoğurt)
Omg you Turks and your egos!
In the beginning of the preparation made me remember sunomono 😋 but it was a better version of tzatziki 🤩. In Brazil, we call this legume as Japanese cucumber but this shown in the video look much more crunchy 😍. I'll prepare this for sure. Thanks !
I can tase the freshness! Much better than our North American sugar cereals!!

Quick question: is the water removed from the cucumber so that it doesn't go bad and we can store it for a long time? Or do I have to remove water because it's a crucial process?

Sometimes I use cabbage and carrots when don't have cucumber, with the same ingredients, it's also nice too.
