Looks great. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. Now, all she needs is some wheel spacers and/or bigger tires and offset wheels to get that stance wider.
My brother and I did a similar kit a few days ago. We took our time. We did one side quickly. Then we got stuck so we took a break and finished it the next day. After we were done took it straight to service department and got a wheel alignment. No issues when you take your time and if you have an issue don’t stress just stop take a breath and start fresh.
Good Video! I followed RC instructions for my 18 F150 no issues. I noticed you didn't rotate the stud bolts on the bottom of the strut like most videos show for proper set of the strut.
I did have to rotate the entire strut 180 degrees and reinstall. I used the lower control arm to help twist the lower bushing and studs to make reinstallation easier as opposed to having to fight it.
Watching this video and realizing i should have installed mine (been sitting in the garage for a year) when i replaced my front brakes this past spring
Rough Country's support team is solid, but trying to install their parts is an absolute nightmare. None of the studs on my aluminum spacer clear the top of the top mounting nuts, and I'm genuinely afraid to run it, not to mention one snapped while torquing it. Waiting on the new parts to show up
Noticed you maintained the factory upper control arm for the install, how’ve they held up? I’ve been wanting to do a 2 or 2.5 leveling kit but worried about reusing the factory control arms, but I’m not seeing a lot of control arms made for these kind of kits. Usually for actual lift kits.
Looks good! What size rims are on that truck? Looking to do the leveling kit as well, but i like the stock rims and tires. Been tough trying to find a leveling photo without upgraded rims and tires lol
I didn't have any clearance issues after my adjustments but that could help too. Instructions did not mention that but possibly that's what they intended!
Personally any change in ride would be in your head for something so minute of a change like this. My grandfather is 80 and about 5'6" and has no issue. He does have running boards that help. I don't think your wife would have much of an issue. Went with these mainly for cost. The spacer is only under compression and not any tension or shear so there is no concern for part failure with running these.
@@BarnBuiltFabrications Thanks I ordered mine and hope to get to it this weekend- and use your video as a guide- Thanks again. Great to hear about your Grandad-
Good question! I did it for a couple reasons being 1.) The caliper needs to come off to allow for the knuckle to come forward without damaging the brake line 2.) So I could get access to the ABS sensor that is tucked behind the dust shield 3.) I did not take the CV axle fully out but I needed to undo the nut for it because i needed it to be able to slide back into the knuckle to allow for the knuckle to come forward enough. Additionally the less weight with the rotor being off just makes it easier to handle so you are not fighting it as much.
Thanks for reminding me to pay someone else to do this. 👍🏻
Don't be discouraged it is a lot easier than it may seem.
i'am 72 and going to put one on my 24 f150 easy did my 23 2 years ago
Looks great, come do mine!

Hope it was helpful!
I am about to do this to my 22. This was very helpful.
Good luck!

Thanks and I appreciate you showing where you were struggling, definitely helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Good video 👍
Glad you enjoyed

Yeah that would've been a good time to do it but overall not to bad from fully assembled.

That is interesting, I haven't heard much negative personally. Something definitely sounds off about that part.
Could also just unhook the abs sensor at the connector so you don’t have to pull the dust shield. Nice video though 💯

I have never had a problem using the factory UCA's for leveling kits. I haven't had any issues with this truck so far.

Thank you! These are 20's
After rotating 180 degrees, put driver side strut on passenger side and passenger on driver side.
That’s why it was hitting the frame.

Does this affect the ride at all AND will it be much tougher getting for my wife who's 5' tall to get in and why these and not the aluminum ones?

If you didn't undo the cv axle, why did you take the brakes out?
nvm just say in some parts the cv axle basically was out. You didn't use a vacuum to hold the 4x4 pressure. That isn't bad?
@@txkinggI was wondering the same thing. I’m installing the RC 2” kit on my 2018 this weekend.

There is no pressure when the truck is off. No concern there.
How did you make out with the install?
were any nylock nuts have to be replaced
like in the ball joint I mean
No I did not need to replace any of the factory hardware outside of what was provided in the kit.
@@BarnBuiltFabrications Thanks
