Talk about doing it the hard way... You do not need to pull calipers or axle shafts to install 2" leveling spacers. Just disconnect the sway bar and strut and drop it down. I installed mine in 90 minutes in my driveway using hand tools.

Ok to any one trying this I just did one today in a shop with a lift . I completed each side differently one side i removed just the sway bar link and upper control arm ,I then had to remove the lower control arm bolts because the axle was preventing the arm to drop low enough to install the new set up . The other side I did it Just like the video and it took twice as long but was way easier in my opinion.
Nice job on the video. Very informative and confirmed the fact that it might be best to allow the pros to install the kit.- cuz we don't have all the tools
You can also raise both front tires, drop the tie rods, undo the sway bar, seperate upper a arm, and loosen the back bolt on the lower and it will drop enough to get the strut out, even easier than dropping the lower a arm.
Can you just swap the left and right struts so you don’t have an issue with the orientation? Also, I didn’t see it in the video, but do you have to compress the spring and rotate the set the struts to line up the bolt holes?
Thank you AT for the video! I opted for the RC 2” leveling kit, basically the same. The install was flawless following your video, and much preferred over printed instructions. Just a comment - the steering knuckle will need to be “persuaded” with a large hammer, just like the upper control arm knuckle. That wasn’t very clear in video.

I leave the calipers on the bracket and only remove 2 bolts and hang it up and also when I installed these on my 04 fx4 it road like a rock. You could feel every lil crack in the road. Hated it. 2.5" would probably get you closer to a perfect level, but you have to take some geometry into consideration, particularly CV axle angle, and control arm clearance when the suspension is hanging. You can only go so far with spacers before the upper control arm will hit the coilover spring when the suspension is hanging. I had 3" spacers on my 08 Expedition, and when I put that vehicle on a lift, the upper control arms contacted the coilover springs. It seems the most common/cost effective modification is a 2" leveling kit with 33" tires, which is probably where I'm headed with my 2020 F150. I don't think 2" inches of leveling would cause any of the aforementioned geometry issues whatsoever.
@@Sagittarius-88 the 2.5" is standard leveling done by ford dealerships. 2" would get you to near level. 2.5 will for sure get you to level without any issues. 3"and up will begin to cause issues.

The spacer itself included with leveling kits for independent front suspension vehicles like yours are never the same height as the advertised lift height, which is fine! The size of the spacer itself will give you two inches of height in the front when installed. You'll have no issues there. -Zach

Just installed the 2inch motofob leveling kit on my 2011 ford f150 2WD. Hearing some small noises when I hit bumps and do slight turns. Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

I can’t find the video, but looking for help! I’m looking for a leveling kit for my 2017 Silverado but I’m going to be doing a lot of off-roading so need something that can handle it.. what should I get? Be specific please. thanks in advance
I have a 2018 ford 150.Going to install a 2" leveling kit.With 33/12.50/ tires should i keep my 17" wheels or go with 20" ?
That's entirely up to you Brent! 17"s will give you more sidewall while 20"s will give you more a 'street' truck vibe. -Justin
@@americantrucks thanks
AmericanTrucks Ford will 18” rims work well with it to?
More sidewall is better imo. That street look sometimes have issues hitting a pothole by accident and have blowouts
Can I use 3 inch ?
