I have a rough country bumper and I called them with a question while installing it at 10am on a Saturday, and they answered the phone within a couple of rings and I got an answer to my question from a real person. That’s a big deal in my book.
Agreed, just had to call them to verify a delivered part was correct in the middle of an install. They answered in a couple rings and were able to help right away. Saved me some time.
I have three different trucks with rough country lifts in them. I have not had a single issue with any of the lift kits that I have installed they've come with all the parts necessary as well as instructions to install them properly. Their customer service is second to none with phone options and chat options. I have a rough country lift kit in my mud truck and I pound the piss out of it and it handles everything I throw at it without a problem
Def appreciate these personal testimonies! While not as expensive as other brands, it’s still a good chunk of change and reviews like yours help put my mind at ease. I’m going with a 3” bolt on with the struts/shocks. Would go with a full 4” or 6” but want to still keep it in my garage. As it is, I’m gonna have to modify my garage door a bit. The things we do for our trucks. Haha
Yeah you'll be good. I got a full size f150 xlt weighs around 4500lbs and I give the n3 struts no mercy lol climbing rough hills around 35mph really shows they can take some abuse
I installed a 6’ rough country kit on my 05’ gmc 1/2 ton, installed great and had no issues, complete kit and haven’t had any problems in the last three years with it, rides great and would recommend the kit
I have a 4” kit on my 06 1500 Z71. I’ve taken it to Stoney Lonesome and Hawk Pride Offroad parks and I haven’t had a single issue. I installed it myself in 2014. I highly recommend them.
Added Rough Country 2"- 1" leveling kit to my 2018 4 Runner, love the look, ride didn't change, and 20K miles later, no issues. I am happy with my purchase.................
@@deon865 I think I payed about $1500 after install, no coilovers. I recently installed their new heavy duty upper control arms with the corrected ballpoint angle, definitely worth it
Same. Have a 7.5 kit on my Tahoe. Bought their upgraded UCA's and replaced lower ball joints with Moog problem solvers. I also used Bilstein 5100's all around. Drives great. No issues.
I would say RC kits are more for vehicles that stay in the pavement. Their Monotube shocks are good for the price, and their Vertex shocks are pretty solid. I deal with them, sell their products, and I can say that their customer and dealer service is amazing. They ship out whatever you need no questions asked. They’re readily available, and whenever I sell their lift kits. I don’t have to worry about ordering multiple boxes at a time
Well considering that i take my truck offroading alot. And shit inevitably breaks. Id rather spend less lol. Ill leave the expensive stuff for the pavement princesses
I have a Rough Country 6" long arm lift on my Jeep TJ and it has performed flawlessly. I off-road almost every weekend and also have a LS conversion so I don't cut it any slack. I'm looking at the coilovers now and will probably purchase those too...
I too have a Rc long arm kit on my Jku but I dit a 3.5 rubicon Express lift basically just coils and shock. Love it lots of flex and hadn't had issues either I had it for year and 2months
I've used Rough Country's Vertex shocks before on my old 2007 JK, and they performed just fine. Never noticed any ride quality issues with them on while I had my JK. It seems their quality has improved over recent years. I wouldn't hesitate to buy their products again in the future.
Running a 3” RC lift on my 10 Tacoma with shocks all the way around. No problems. Whole kit and install was 640. Even if it did blow out I wouldn’t mind buying another since it’s so cheap.
About to order mine truck cane with procomp I hate them plus there leaking i hope these are a littke better. My kast truck had basic bikstein 5100 and I liked them. Gonna try rc to compare. 3"
@@cristovalmontoya5222 did u ever get the rc? If so how did u like it compared to the bilstein 5100. Sorry this is a bit late thought it might be worth a shot haha.
Have had a 2" RC lift on my 99 Wrangler, and currently run a 6" RC lift on my 2011 F150. No complaints. Ride quality is as good as stock and handles well on and off road. Shocks are getting better... still ran ES9000 Pro Comps in the rear though.
@@ImperatorCaesar22 had them on the truck when I put in a 3” level on the truck before going with a full 6” lift kit. The shocks were basically still new and fit with the new lift so I kept them. Good question though, had good luck with them.
I've had my rough county 4.5" lift kit for over 4 years. I've had no issues at all. The only thing different I did was install bilstein shocks. This is on my 91 jeep xj.
love the 4.5" lift on my 91 cherokee, been on the jeep for about 8 years now. rides smoother than stock and very stable on the freeway too. really good off road, especially with the sway bar disconnected.
I've had a Rough Country 2.5" lift kit on my JKU Wrangler for 9 years an 40,000 miles, never had problem. The only reason I'm replacing it is Because I'm moving up to a RC 4.5" lift with Long Arm upgrade.
I agree %100 I own Grimm Brothers Offroad in Ashland and I have to say Rough Country has really stepped up their game in terms of Suspension quality. Just last week we installed a 3.5" lift on a JK and yesterday we received another Job with the exact same lift, but this time it came with control arm drops and in the box with a new drop pitman arm. These items were previously sold separately, but it seems rough country has become more conscious to the fact that today's consumers do not want to sacrifice ride quality for a lifted suspension and are answering that call.
I think I just bought the hood light mounting brackets from you guys! It came in the mail with a sweet Grimm offroad sticker. Thanks for including that!
As a master tech w my own shop ive been using rough country for many many years. Ive had great luck w easy lifetime warr. After 6y i broke a coil in v8 zj they sent me 2 so it would sit level totally free. I wheel couple times a week and have no issues at all.
@@dab0yhdizzle I cant speak on anything other than what I personally used. And for me my RoughCountry performed flawlessly up through last year when I traded in for a RubiconUnlimited.
I had an 8 inch lift with a 2 inch front coil spacer on my f250 on 38s and never had an issue. it was pretty damn smooth on good roads and when i was on a shitty road, well it, felt like a truck with a 10 inch lift. Im putting a 3inch level on my new 4runner sr5 this week. for daily driver use and camping, fishing trails, this brand gets it done. no need for hate and toxic negativity towards it.
I did the RoughCountry 6" lift on my 2017 F150 Limited and originally used the RC N3 shocks and struts. The ride was not that great and in fact I have already blown one the rear shocks. I just installed the front Vertex and waiting for the rear to come into stock. Just changing the front has made an amazing difference. The ride has changed immensely. Will update after I change to the rear as well.
U might want to check the longevity of the front new coil springs which is not long. By buying another u could of bought a BDS lift kit. Too each their own. Good luck.
I bought my truck and before my first oil change I had a rough country 4 inch lift put on ,my truck does it all for my wife and daughter ,it pulls a trailer it takes us camping and hunting and we hit trails with it on the weekends we live near death valley which means we are on rocks the second we pull off pavement so far I've had 0 issues with the lift its held up and got us home everytime most guys who run a lift dont use thier trucks for much off road and we aren't those people we run lipencot mine road out to the race track on a monthly basis so that's just my 2 pennies on the issue my next truck will get another rc lift
I have a Rough Country lift on my 78 F250. I like it quite a bit. I called to ask questions, and I got to talk to a person. The guy was very helpful and friendly.
I have a 7 year old 4" rough country lift on my 92 Dodge w250. Last month while driving in heavy winds, a 10" diameter tree came down across the road in front of me. I hit it at over 50mph. Only damage to the suspension is the leaf spring bushings. And right rear shackle for the front leaf spring. ( other damage was 2 front tires, centerlink, tie rod ends, and front stabilizer link ends, But for such a solid impact the damage was very slight.
Bradley Beyer yea I went with BDS. I’m sure coilovers would make my ride better on/off road but I’m thinking about using the RC coilovers once they come out for my truck
Been running my lift for 3 years. It's been great on and off road. I also got the rc skid plate and deleted the sway bar, soon I'll be adding the vertex coil overs. Id defetnetly recommend, plus rc gots life time warranty and if by chance you break something due to there lift, they'll cover the cost. Best bang for your buck by far I think.
I have been using Rough Country for approximately 20 years. Probably installed about 100 lifts. I have had one problem the shock bushings being bad. They dealt with this and have not had the problem since. I will continue to use them and recommend them above most others. No point in spending more when they work and stand behind their work. I have used Fabtech and others I won't be using Fabtech or super lift ever again!
Just finished a 6" lift on my 2000 silverado. Everything came well packaged and the ride is even better than it was stock. Time will tell on overall durability.
Rough Country is a pretty good brand in my opinion I bought a 2.5in lift and a bull bar with led light from them and I like it the only thing is they need to make their instructions clear and pictures easier to see.
I put an RC 3.5” lift kit with 3.5” lifted struts on my 2017 Tundra. Nice ride. No issues. I’m not jumping buses or hitting the mud bog with my tundra, so I’m satisfied with the quality AND price.
I have a 2008 Silverado ext can 4x4. I installed the 3.5" lift on my truck at 62k miles. By 89k miles. I needed to replace tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints and shocks. If you plan on hitting the desert, dunes, or even spend time driving down old fire roads or dozer roads you might want to hold out for a better option. I went with Camburg uppers, Fox 2.5 remost resi front and rear with a deaver mini pack in the rear. Night and day difference off-road. If your not looking to off road much or just like the look RC is a good option.
You should have replaced the T-rod ends and ball joints when you did the lift installation. Just makes it easier overall. Any time you put a lift on and leave the stock ball joints and tierod ends on they will more than likely fail shortly afterwards, no matter who's lift kit you installed. I did a RC 6" on my 96 GMC Yukon 4x4, and replaced tierod ends and ball joints with Balkamp ball joints and tierod ends. That was three years ago and shes as tight as the day she rolled off the dealers lot. The other thing to do is at 500 miles re-tighten everything and ever 3K miles there after. Happy wheelen Bro!
I have a 3.5” RC lift on my 2013 Sierra. I’ve had it for around 2 years. Never had any issues. I don’t see a point in spending 3k+ on a different brand.
Drew Gipson That kit is known for terribly stretched uca balljoint angles, and cv angles. May not have issues now but good luck in a bit longer and having to deal with fixing it. Where you wouldn’t have that issue with other 4 inch kits. There is a reason only rough country does a 3.5 inch kit
Adam Brown False, I’m running a 3.5” from superlift on my 2018 Chevy. Both companies offer options for additional parts such as upper control arms with indexed ball joints and diff drops to keep CV angles in spec
Gibson Frank The diff drop on the rc 3.5 knuckle or diff drop kit is not enough to return the ballpoints or cvs to stock angles. You will understand when you replace parts. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
@@adambrown7741 I have the 6in Rough Country lift on my 1993 Chevy extended cab I haven't had any problems with it it's been on my truck for over a year
I've ran 4 of RCs lifts. All of them 6 inch kits, never had an issue. There customer service is fantastic and when if you do have to call them they speak ENGLISH. It's fantastic, will be ordering there 6 inch kit for my HD very soon. My only gripe about RC kits is there not a true 6 inch kit, there 6 inches after you turn your torsion bars up unlike mcgauthys that's a true 7 inch kit (drop brackets are actually 7 inches) other than that RC is the best bang for your buck hands down.
I've had an RC 4" for my '99 Yukon for 3 years, no issues so far. Daily Driver, Weekend beater. Just liked that it sat like a 4X4 instead of a car. Allowed me to put 33"'s on, with NO OFFSET. Maybe that is why I don't have any issues? And, unlike other lifted I've had, it drives straight after the alignment.
I am about to do the same on my 2000 Yukon Denali. I am trying to decide between 4 and 6 inches. They are the same price and 6 inches should let me fit 35s.
I've had an RC kit on my truck for 3 years now. No issues. I used to off road a lot. Only thing I've had to do is replace the shocks after I blew them out.
What truck was it, how was the ride quality, did the welds on any of the parts blow, and have you had to do through a lot of suspension parts like ball joints and things like that?
Same truck that is on my channel. Welds never tore and never had any components besides the shocks fail but as I said I blew them out and they were their older ones which are known to fail. I haven't had my ball joints go bad despite the off roading. It's a good kit but it's no custom built baja kit. If you need to get up off the ground and are going to be doing trails it will work just fine for you. If you are looking to blast around off road at speed prepare to open your wallet and look elsewhere. Ride quality is comparable to factory but it's a truck not a Cadillac.
Rough country is like harbor freight. If you pick and choose what products you buy you can get some great stuff. If you buy the wrong products from them you'll wind up with a dump truck ride and blown ball joints.
@@B86432 zones is bds little bro comp. Pertty sure their better than rough country .in all fairness i have rc front levle spacer and rear blocks very nice and solid products.
ive been running the 7 inch lift kit on my '18 silverado for a few years now. its held up great, no issues so far, no rust either (live in FL). My local shop said a lot of similar things thats you did, in the past they werent great but have come a long way in recent years and they install a lot of them.
I got a rough country 2.5” lift for my 91’ s10 blazer ( Tahoe, 4x4, 4.3l ) so I could get different rims, take off the stock flares, add ez-flares and a set of cheap 32”x11.50 rubbers ( thunderers).I basically went with them mainly because it’s almost impossible to find anything for my specific truck ( it’s considered the shitty blazer, no solid front axle, but I like it and I’ve taken great care of it over the years). Truck is used for trails and off-road 75% of the time, I don’t beat on my truck, but I’m also not afraid of pushing it. They hit the mark, at least for my old ass hoopty. I recommend it specifically for the older s10’s, Jimmy’s, and s10 blazers. It’s a good set, get the steering stabilizer, thank me later.
I got a 2017 Silverado 1500 Z71 with the 7” complete vertex system now just installed the rear reservoirs last night! I can clear my 20x12 arkon Lincoln’s on 35 Toyo Mt’s ! Absolutely excellent kit with great ride quality.
I just put the 7.5in on my 09 Silverado. Suspension is a little on the softer side. But it eats up bumps on and off-road without sending it through your spine. Better than OEM in my opinion
I had a rough country 3” lift on my 96 (that is currently on my 99 xj) and when it WAS on my 96 I hit a brick way after getting cut off and removed it from my 96 and installed it on my 96 and have had 0 issues with mine. Every time I see or hear someone saying that rough country is crap I alway tell them this story
I have their original Ifs 3in kit on my 90 K1500, I still have the truck, so over 25 years, No problems at all, My 86 K5 has had their 4in lift for 21 years and again no Problems!!
I started my first Jeep build with a 3.5" RC lift... loved it at first but once the Jeep settled, the ride height came down to almost the original factory height. I then upgraded to Metal Cloak dual rate springs and Bilstein shocks, with RC hardware no sag and the ride quality increased dramatically. My second Jeep build I went with the 4.5" Metal Cloak lift and shocks. My personal opinion if you're working on a budget, go with RC hardware such as arms, cross member, etc But springs and shocks, go with quality.
Chris Hunt I'm speaking off of my experience. I was running a Sahara Unlimted on stock wheels with the RC 3.5" lift .. after a few months My jeeps overall height was about 1/2" taller than my uncles stock Sahara Unlimted. I immediately switched to Metal Cloak springs once I put my 35s on and never looked back.
I don’t have a RC Lift but I’m using their X-Flex control arms, steering stabilizer, and away Bars, all seems and has been good quality so far. Next I’m buying a RC front driveshaft.
The way it was explained to me is most people go with rough country because it’s the cheapest and they do the cheapest options with lifts which is usually just spacers which takes away from ride quality. Combined that with big wheels and small times you have less rubber to cushion the road with. I just ordered a 4 inch Rc lift with their additional struts and shock. Going with a 18” wheel on 35s so I expect it to ride just as good as factory
Bought the 2'5" lift for my 05 Blazer For the price it wasn't a bad hit on the wallet However (And this is what alot of people forget) The truck is old Rough country Gives you specs on how to install it When they first added the kit to the line up Not 10 years later if it says 8 hours of install time This means in a garage up on a hoist and you have all the means to remove new factory parts If your a backyard mech like myself That has the basic Airtools on a 20 gal compressor Your looking at double the time + Your rear shackle bolts will be welded in with rust If you get them out with one shot Your a better man than I ..Propane torch Heat them up 5 mins soak hit them with a hammer Soak them with water Hit them with a hammer try repeat ....I replaced everything under the truck..Ball joints, Arms, Ties, bushings, Seals Rotors and bearings If you do not have a compressor and your truck is older than 5 years ...Take it to a shop 1 year in... Do i have any issues from the product? None

I did the RC 3.5” lift with control arm drops for my 2018 jku and have had ZERO issues. I off road every weekend around blue ridge GA and i like it wet, like river crossing wet lol I normally dont get less than 4” of water in my floor boards. The deepest ive had it is my belly button. 2018 JKU 3.5 lift and 35/12.5/15 cooper sst tires with 15x10 -44et (3.75 backspace)
I had a 2004 chevy Silverado 1500 with a 6 inch rough country suspension lift and I loved it. I took that truck out on the trails all the time. It did everything I needed it to and as a high school student all I could afford was this lift.
96' Grand . 905u kit. long arms , joints, front main bracket, rear brackets, modified t case skid. Taken a pounding at the dunes , deep in the forrests.....every trail and ORP you cant find. Never an issue.
I have a 5inch rough country lift on my 2002 ford ranger. There the only company that offers a 5inch lift for my year.. its been on there just over a year and I haven't had any issues whats so ever... im very happy with it..
i have a 7.5" rough country lift on my 2019 gmc 2500 hd denali and its awesome.. no rust thru an illinois winter and i was amazed the shocks hold when im pulling my nitro z21 elite bass boat
Ok i apologize took it the wrong way.. the nice thing about the boat is alot of your local credit unions will finance them for 180 months so there fairly cheap. It sounds like a long time but alot of people do it otherwise it would be impossible to afford a new truck n boat on 60 month loans
Amazed your new 3/4 ton holds up while pulling your ultra light bass boat.....good thing you went with the 7.5, sounds like you must hit the trail pretty hard.
I had a 6 inch RC suspension lift kit on my 2003 Z71 Tahoe on 33's with a RC steering stabilizer. This was at least 7 years ago and it was probably not as nice as the newer RC products, but I beat the living shit out of that truck and never once had an issue with the kit. I would floor it up curbs head-on and have zero issues.. literally just beating the shit outta that truck. In my experience, Rough country is a good company. They will make it right if anything bad does happen or if anything is faulty. Overall, I would definitely recommend RC products.
95' Jeep ZJ 3.5 inch lift. RC Front+Rear Shocks & HD Tie Rod(everything else is RubiconExpress/Rusty's/CrownAutomotive). Only issue I am having after about a year is the rear shocks are making clunking noises over bumps which was disappointing but manageable by turning up the volume knob. No other issues.
Loved my rough country 4.5” kit for my old jeep Cherokee. I don’t think I’d throw them into my 2021 Colorado that is my current only vehicle but if I had another vehicle they’d be a solid contender for a lift no hesitation
I had a 4 inch rough country lift kit on my 2010 Toyota Tundra with no issues. Now I have a 2019 Ram Rebel with a 3.5 inch readylift lift kit and I love it
Nope!!!! I have a 6” Rough Country lift on my 2013 Ford F-250 6.7L and it rides perfect fine. Suspension is soft especially going around bumps and crawling through small ditches. I love it. Wish they made a 8” lift. And I have Rough Country duel stabilizers as well.
We have had the 4 inch RC lift on our 03 tj for 3 years now. The lift has been great. The shocks are my only real issue. I have recently spoke to RC about select parts and have been told by cutomer service that the shocks are really being looked at because of the negative feedback. That being said. With our lift being as sound as it has been. We will soon be starting our TJ overland build for our trip to Alaska. No towns or cities for 60 days. Our Tj is going to be completely RC built. If I didnt trust their product I surely wouldnt put it on my TJ and get my wife out on the biggest trip of her life and risk it.
Why do people get so defensive about something that they don't have any investment in? What do personal attacks accomplish in this debate? I have rough country and haven't had any problems. I'm sure people have had issues with other brands as well regardless how much you spend on it. Bottom line is my "budget" Jeep will go where other Jeeps go
If you're almost all street driving and occasional off road they're fine. My 4'' got me through a course at SMORR. Even took a hit on the front cross member, but 2 years later it is still just fine. Saving money with this kit lets you spend more on other goodies. I tossed the RC shocks and run Bilsteins on all four now.
I’ve had a 3” rough country lift on my truck since 2015 and haven’t had a single issue. Shocks I will admit blow but I also haven’t tried the new V2 or Vertex shocks.
I’ve never had an issue with mine just the person who installed it lol but I called and they helped me and the lift is excellent on a 2000 Chevy suburban
2003 TJ Rubicon ,4" R C Long Arm with 3/4 ton dodge bushings on lowers, RC track bar with Moog K7252 bushing, Rancho Shocks. Drives unbelievable for a TJ on 33" beadlocks.
Hey I'm not gonna rag on rough country at all. It does the job for most people. That said, I do find it funny how it is the most advertised brand on trucks. You see a truck with a mild leveling kit and mud tires, and on the back windshield it reads "Rough Country" in big ass letters. That's like having loud bass, and putting a "BOSS" or "PYLE" decal on your truck..
Or they like the lift so they put the sticker on their truck because it came with the kit. Why do you care? Are you jealous? It's their truck lol. You're not the one making their decisions.
@@kennyfrommar yes I'm soooooo jealous of people with $300 rough country kits. You got me bro. Relax, I was just stating the obvious and meant no harm. You're right, do want u want, it's your ride.
@@nightstalker824 Kits can go way over $300 on RC. If you get the right RC parts the lift can actually be pretty nice. I had one on my old truck but don't plan on one with this truck, it actually handled great off road but i had all the suspension changed, the heavy duty control arms are actually really nice. But i get where you're coming from a leveling kit should not be "advertised" as a actual lift.
Rc long arm kits are kinda worth it. Dont put there joints on. Do yourself a faver and just get johhny joints. Also bilstein shocks. Will save yourself some time. They will send free replacments but trust me getting under your rig every 3-6 months to replace blown out joints gets old fast. Id rather buy the better part and save my time.
I use to have their 4.5 inch X-series kit on my Jeep. I bought and installed it 2 years ago, after a year in a half I had replace the whole kit, nothing left on my jeep from that lift kit.
@@MarkFisch I think I commented on the wrong comment, sorry. I had a brake line blow out, their track bar bracket would rub my coil springs, the track bar bushings quickly went bad, the coil spring and leaf springs sagged at different rates, by the time I replaced the leaf springs, they had a slight s shape to them, and 3 of the shocks that came with the kit blew out. I just wasnt impressed, I had only put a few hundred miles on the kit before things started going wrong. I will say, for whatever reason, their control arms held up and the bushings in the control arms, even when I changed it to a 3 link set up, they still held together. Matter of fact, my RUclips pic is with the 3 link control arms. They were the only thing I passed on to someone else, the rest of the kit I scrapped.
I have a 3.5 inch lift RC lift w n3 shocks on my JL and don’t really like it. I feel the road vibrations and imperfections a lot more. Tested it with the factory wheels and the aftermarket wheels and not much of a noticeable difference. I just can’t tell if the issues is with the springs or shocks.
Bought and installed RC 6 inch for my 68 f100 back in 93 never had a problem navigating trails in Oregon. Bought and installed RC 6 inch suspension and 3 inch body for my 02 f150 about a year ago...... never had a problem. Plus they sent me really cool hats and hoodies and have ALWAYS given me excellent tech info over the phone. Very courteous professional and knowledgeable reps. Sounds like someones competition may be butt hurt.
Have rough country in my Jeep Wrangler TJ. Biggest mistake I’ve made. Pure trash. Shocks ride horrible, springs have sagged ALOT, overall ride quality on and off-road is not good. I thought I’d be saving money in order to upgrade other parts of my Jeep but in the end I’m going to end up spending more money to fix the garbage lift Rough Country sold me.
had several, no complaints except the last one was suppose to be a 2 1/2 lift an it was more like 3 1/2 plus, pulled a sping back out and compared it to one in storage, the 2 1/2 spring was eaxacly the same as a 3 1/2 I had
Every time I buy something that is powder coated it rusts to pieces in no time. .llift kis ..steps. .its not the salt..paint is much better. .my rc lift and pro comp is rusting away fast..even after doing everything to prevent it..

Josh B I have had one issue with them I called on Black Friday and the following Friday I had replacement parts on my door and a return shipping label Within 2 weeks I had new parts from them and my refund for the 2 shocks that failed and the spindle that snapped
I put the 3 inch “lift” which is really a level on my 08 2500hd my cv angles were absolutely terrible (tore a boot in 6 months). They do not offer a differential drop kit so i had to get one from zone. But all in all no issues over a year now. Kit came with UCA’s, lift keys, blocks for the rear, and the new shocks.
I was very skeptical on RC but I couldn't wait anymore to get a lifted truck. Impressed yes, ride quality, bumpy and bouncy af, but the shocks seem ready for replacement soon so i want to get fox or see the new vertex shocks for rc. Haven't had my 2012 sierra long but I'm anticipating this winter is going to be fantastic compared to driving with a 04 cavalier lol
@@JuanMartinez-iw5nx They go for 6" lifts rights. I was looking at fox and maybe I'm not searching correctly but I can't find them for that height, but I will take your word for it. How long have you had them on and whats the ride quality like?
Yaboy Chaz email rough country and they”ll send you a link to the coil overs and shocks for the 6inch lift. I had them installed on a brand new 2018 and have hd them on for more than a year. They are absolutely beast shocks and the ride quality is amazing tbh! You can adjust them for road purposes or off road or you can adjust them in the middle for both off road and road usage.
What are your thoughts on the kit 3yrs later? Has the product changed or gotten better since this video release? I’m about to make my mind up for my 2021 F150 on the 2.5” system front and back reservoirs. Thx u
They're my go to, customer service is top notch, probably why I check them out first when replacing shocks. ran 3.5 and 6 inch, in my truck and suv. I ain't going baja pre running lol off-roading some times.
Saved me some time.
it just a number tho not much can go wrong with a bumper lol
Lol it's quite typical of a company that sell products for huge margins to be able to afford 24/7 customer service
I agree
Appreciate that personal review.
I seen on my tundra bumper mods on some
I had several rough county lifts.no issues what so ever .great warranty also
Def appreciate these personal testimonies! Haha
No they aren't lol been using rc for years without any issues and yes I do go offroad atleast 3 times a week
Same only got 3” might get some bilsteins later but everything is good on my 3/4 ton
That's good to hear. I have 2" level kit for my tacoma. Coil overs and N3 struts. I've been getting a little worried about them.
Yeah you'll be good. I got a full size f150 xlt weighs around 4500lbs and I give the n3 struts no mercy lol climbing rough hills around 35mph really shows they can take some abuse
Do RC come with new upper control arms ?
Yj 2.5" lift for 4 years really great! No issues nothing RC are bestest!

No issues.
What are you running for wheels as far as offset/backspacing, and tire size? and did you have to use a 1/4" spacer in the front.
BDS no hassle replacement. You pay though the *** for it though.

Why pro comps?
@@ImperatorCaesar22 had them on the truck when I put in a 3” level on the truck before going with a full 6” lift kit. The shocks were basically still new and fit with the new lift so I kept them. Good question though, had good luck with them.
I've had my rough county 4.5" lift kit for over 4 years. I've had no issues at all. The only thing different I did was install bilstein shocks. This is on my 91 jeep xj.
My RC N2 6 Inch on my 96 GMC Yukon came with Bilstein shocks from Rough Country.
love the 4.5" lift on my 91 cherokee, been on the jeep for about 8 years now. rides smoother than stock and very stable on the freeway too. really good off road, especially with the sway bar disconnected.

Rough Country without a doubt has come a long way in a short time!
Their control arm drop brackets are shit.

C T what was your mpg with the 8’ lift and 38s? I’m about to throw a kit on with 38s as well on my f250

( other damage was 2 front tires, centerlink, tie rod ends, and front stabilizer link ends,
But for such a solid impact the damage was very slight.
Ive had their leveling kit on my daily over 90k of hard miles and suprisingly no issues.

I have a 6" RC on my 15 Silverado z71 and so far it's great and I do alot of off-road as well..
Daniel G how long have you been running this lift? And I’m prepping my rig for overlanding so do you think RC will hold up to that abuse?
Roy Reyes no it won’t. If your planning on doing over landing means you are planning on taking off road more. I’d go with a more quality brand.

Have run a " rough country" on my Silverado 3500 for about 3 yrs., used hard but no abuse...done great for me !
I mean you can still get 70k out of a ball joint which isnt bad at all lol

Thank you for the feedback
Rough country is like harbor freight. If you pick and choose what products you buy you can get some great stuff. If you buy the wrong products from them you'll wind up with a dump truck ride and blown ball joints.

My daily driver has a RC lift. It's not bad and I can get through the trails I need to to get to my favorite fishing spots.
Nope!!!! I have a 6” Rough Country lift on my 2013 Ford F-250 6.7L and it rides perfect fine. Suspension is soft especially going around bumps and crawling through small ditches. I love it. Wish they made a 8” lift. And I have Rough Country duel stabilizers as well.
The coil overs are really nice. They perform exelent on the trials

Bottom line is my "budget" Jeep will go where other Jeeps go
Thank you. You did more to answer the question than this video did.
i have a 6 inch lift Rough Country on my jeep yj for about four years and still working just fine
How are the bilsteins holding up for you now ? Or did you move up from that
@@wuddupboy96 Still have them on. Still perform the same. Looking to sell truck soon so someone else can enjoy all my mods.
I have the 905U Zj long arm hardware kit. Gets sent and never breaks. Thanks Rough Country
I’ve had a 3” rough country lift on my truck since 2015 and haven’t had a single issue. Shocks I will admit blow but I also haven’t tried the new V2 or Vertex shocks.
I received my RC 3" leveling kit. it was missing some things...I communicated that with them and they sent all the missing pieces and that wast that.
I have a 3.5 inch lift and I love it!!!! I think it’s pretty great on my Jeep!!
I use to have their 4.5 inch X-series kit on my Jeep. I bought and installed it 2 years ago, after a year in a half I had replace the whole kit, nothing left on my jeep from that lift kit.
Josh B what happened
The real garbage you bought was the Jeep
@@dirtracingfan8742 loloool
had several, no complaints except the last one was suppose to be a 2 1/2 lift an it was more like 3 1/2 plus, pulled a sping back out and compared it to one in storage, the 2 1/2 spring was eaxacly the same as a 3 1/2 I had
I’ve put down some 60k miles since I mounted a 6” RC kit on my truck and not a single issue so far.
I agree I had mine for 2 years and no problems
Best working led bars for the price ! And I have not had 1 issue ever with RC personally truck and Jeep and never had any hardware missing
Every time I buy something that is powder coated it rusts to pieces in no time. .llift kis ..steps. .its not the salt..paint is much better. .my rc lift and pro comp is rusting away fast..even after doing everything to prevent it..
Did you try rubbing all the components down (from the inside out) with say, used engine oil? That's a great, cheap rust preventative.
First thing I do is primer and a good 3 layers of spray on truck bed liner, holds up great in these Michigan winters.
I have a RC 6 inch lift kit on my 2020 3rd gen tacoma with fox 2.5 remotes on the front and 2.0 in the rears and 33x12.50x17 yokohama geolandar M/T rides sweet on freeway and on trails aired down...no issues after 2 years...👍
I run rough country products on my jeep and will say that their customer service is some of the best I’ve dealt with.
Try to get a refund from them
Josh B I have had one issue with them I called on Black Friday and the following Friday I had replacement parts on my door and a return shipping label
Within 2 weeks I had new parts from them and my refund for the 2 shocks that failed and the spindle that snapped
Thanks for the feedback!
Yaboy Chaz i recommend the RC coilovers and shocks! I have them and they are awesome.
Shoot the way you make it sound, you could sell salt to a slug. I'll give'em a call tomorrow
What are your thoughts on the kit 3yrs later? Has the product changed or gotten better since this video release? I’m about to make my mind up for my 2021 F150 on the 2.5” system front and back reservoirs. Thx u
I just got the coil overs. Hoping to put them on the truck in a few weeks. Looking forward to you guy's review!
They're my go to, customer service is top notch, probably why I check them out first when replacing shocks. ran 3.5 and 6 inch, in my truck and suv. I ain't going baja pre running lol off-roading some times.
“...with the new tariffs, taxes and viruses coming in from Chinese goods...”
Brian Piechocki ?? He’s right lol
How did he know
thanks brian we doing see the video 🤠
