Bro very nice video! I purchased a 4” RC lift kit and hated the shocks that came with it! The ride was so soft I was getting motion sickness from driving lol! It was very bouncy! So I did purchase the RC Vertex AND install them! What a difference they made. Even when towing my 26’ food trailer, the ride and handling is 100% better!
Thanks for the video, I have mine set at 4! Oh I have a Black High Country 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 Gasser tuned with 3”true duals, sounds amazing and is pretty quick to be a big A** truck.

I got mine in late 2019 with the 3.5" Level kit. One of the rears came already leaking. I sent it back and they sent me two rears. That was a plus. The gas pressures according to RC are 100lbs. My fronts were both low (1 @ 50lbs & 1 @ 80lbs). I bought a King Shocks charge valve and reset the pressures. They are not bad but need just a touch more pressure (125lbs)

  • @lyledubois8969

Most lift kits are relatively the same quality as long as they come with the applicable knuckles and you do not crank the lift via torsion bars or torsion bar keys , maintaining engineered cv and steering angles, HOWEVER, good musltistaged gas shocks with resevoirs make the world of difference in ride and suspension flex, that is the big money option most avoid and what differentiates performance suspension from a regular lift. Good video, idea of using water is good idea. I could tell difference when i upgraded shocks as you could travel offroad over obstacles and you were not being bucked out of the seat, feet were not bouncing away from the brake or gas pedal, and passengers didnt have to brace themselves off the headliner, hahaha

The ride is adjustable but where it really shines is when you get off road in a lot of continuous washboard where you need the extra travel and oil capacity for cooling and fade reduction. For your trailer queen its a little bit of overkill for your needs.

  • @ohdeergod

I love the shocks so far, definitely worth it! Installed with RC 5 inch lift on 2022 AT4 Duramax with Black Rhino Abrams wheels and 37x12.50 Pro Comp Extreme MT2 tires. The lift kit..ehh not so much. Ive only had it on 6 months or so, no real off road to speak of. Its developed a rattle in the left front when going over small repeated bumps that I think might be the sway bar end links. The ones that come with the kit are laughable. Like pencils with ball joints on each end. The truck has less than 8k miles on it. The kit has about 5k miles on it. Ive ordered Kyryptonite UCA's and sway bar end links that will be powder coated to match the truck. Hoping that resolves the rattle. Seems a lot of folks have the same left front rattle after lifting these trucks.

@@JDav3- Yeah. The shocks have nothing to do with the kit itself. I’m not there yet with the upgraded shocks but I will one day. For now just got the BDS kit with Fox2.0 shocks. Lifted struts up front. The price difference is huge for the BDS coil overs. Little by little my friend. The Vertex is obviously a lot cheaper but I see and hear great things about it. Can’t wait for my install. They are back ordered a whole month.
