Regeared my truck, running 35s with 4.56 final drive ratio. The power is unbelievable and I've only lost about 2-3 mpg from my average. Highly highly recommend this in general, even more so if you will be daily driving for keeping the truck for many years.
Kane Connery Do you have the 5.3 or 6.2? 6 spd or 8spd? Sorry, only asking because I’m looking to regear as well and stuck between 4.10 and 4.56 for 285/65r20 and 20x10-25 wheels on a 5.3 6spd
I made my decision years ago thanks to you guys! 👍
My first Excursion I did a BDS 4 inch lift with Fox shocks all the way around, dual shocks on the front and dual stabilizers.
My 2nd Excursion same setup but I did a 6 inch instead of 4.
VERY PLEASED!! And watching your videos helped me make my decision. 😎
Hell yeah! Thanks for your support man! 🤘🏼
Hey Custom Offsets, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos. Just got a truck and I'm new to this, now I'll know what I'm doing before I ask for any help with it. 😉 Thanks!
My 2014 Silverado had 100k miles on it and I didn’t feel like going all out on a lift so I bought the 5inch. Bracket lift from Rough Country. I didn’t feel like running spacers and I went with the lifted struts and V2 Shocks. I’m going to be honest I can’t even tell a difference than when it was stock with how it rides and handles. Obviously not a BDS or anything but I’m satisfied so far.
That’s awesome man!
That's quite funny how the dog is looking around like who you talking to 😂🤣😂
Can you talk more about coil overs
"The F-350 has 40s and hasn't been regeared" and that's why you snapped the driveshaft in that tug of war 🤷♂️
yep also affects towing. and transmission life if you tow regularly.
Cordell Roberson if you regear your rear differntial does stop that from snapping drive shaft and messing up your trans ?
Alexander it causes less strain on the transmission
@@alecsanderfuentes3913 yep, so think of it this way your engine wants to make power. Your rear end multiplies that power.
In-between is your transmission managing the Ballance of power and speed. If you load up your axle with taller tires the transmission is put under more load. Your engine still want to make the same power, but now your transmission is struggling to manage it.
it doesn't really happen on modern vehicles but way back in the day if you were to put massive tires on a truck you could actually ruin the bearings of the engine from excessive load.
@@alecsanderfuentes3913 not regearing could have the same effect as constantly towing let's say a 6000 pound trailer.
The power loss isn’t so much the tire diameters being bigger it’s more the weight of the stock wheels are 50+ lbs and 38x24” 14 wides are 140lbs so it’s like having 12 tires on your truck and the drag is huge !! But good info
Yea unsprung weight is where you loose a massive amount of power
Yeah but you can also have a bracket lift kit and have coilovers with it. Such as ready lift 6 or 8 inch lift kit has the ability to add bilstein coilovers with it.
I bought a 6" PROCOMP lift kit for my 2000 Ford F-350 2wd and I got their basic shocks bc I got the BILTEIN shocks so it was actually way cheaper that way
great video, ordered a set of wheels and tires from u guys 2 weeks ago and very excited. keep up the good work
Hell yeah! Thanks for the support man! 🙏🏻
Did a 4.5 lift (truck was lowered from original owner dealer lifted back to stock height) front end is 2" lower than back end. Springs look to be stock now bad idea to do a coil spring spacer to bring up to level? 2016 Ram 1500 2wd.
100 percent do a top 5 first trucks to buy like fitment industries did with cars
Good idea! 🤘🏼

What do you think of the combo lifts like what zone offers with a torsion level and body lift?
What gears should i put into my hummer h2 lifted 6 inches with 40 15.50 r20 tires? Its got stock gears now.
Awesome video Brother
Thanks
When the time comes and the 37" tires need replacing, I'd like to drop my 6" lift to a 3"...I think you answered my question regarding this...it can be done (possibly) but you just can't go back to stock.
Felt that and you possibly can, depends if you cut off factory mounts or not
Question is does regearing help the transmission/ driveshaft etc tolerate the load of let’s say a 38-40 “ tires ?
I have a 7 inch rough country lift kit. Can i upgrade to bds upper control arms or any other brand of control arms? Is it possible to mix and match lift kit parts?
So my gmc AT4 comes stock with a 2 inch lift so I could add a 4 inch lift kit to it to end up with 6 inch?
I got an ad for u guys that was the same as the ad at the start of the video.. that was confusing lol
This is one of the most informative videos I've seen this year. Well done custom offsets.
Glad it was helpful!
2003 yukon slt 5.3 gas 2wd 6"or 7" inch lift kit recommended please 🙏
Got a custom Offsets ad right before this video😂
The previous owner of my truck added a leveling kit, can I put a 4 inch lift on my truck with the leveling kit already on?
What fixes the angle changes say in the transmission?
Can I put bilstien 5100 shocks front & back on a 2018 ram 1500 6 inch rough country lift?
Got a 2016 ram 1500 and tow constantly highway and mountains. The question I got is I'm looking at zone leveling kit with UCA vs the readylift with UCA. What would be the best application
Zone would be your best option for your situation!
This is a question for another truck. But if my stock tires are 29inch, do i need to regear if im going to 33inch?

I’m going to be putting a on the front of my 2016 Ram, should get the rear blocks, and what size?
wow, cant get over some of these questions you are answering!lol..I guess me working as a tech has its perks, knowing how this simple stuff works!Better than being behind a computer i guess but dont make enough money to pay people to fix my zhit or put my lifts in.the down side of being a tech.....
on the newer f150s,can keep that piece that you cut out and always weld back in if want to return back to stock.not that hard, very easy actually and guarantee if would not effect anything.my 2 cents
If I got 25mm spacers on stock wheels would it rub against the suspension components ?, I’m assuming it wouldn’t because it’s moving it away from it, but what do you say
I got a 2020 ram 1500 2wd and i want a 6in lift but don't want rough country. What would you recommend
I'm new to the lift game as I just bought a 2016 f150 with a 4 inch BDS lift. I'm hearing alot about having to retorque the components after so long. Which parts need to be checked? And how often? Some say a couple thousand miles, some say every oil change
I just installed a 1.75” ReadyLift leveling kit and the shop that did it said to come back in a few months to recheck & retorque everything jic I checked under there and they marked every bolt with a marker to see if it loosens up.👍
Do you recommend swapping brake lines for braided ones when you lift your vehicle?
Just make sure to read the description of the lift on our website that you are looking to buy and it will let you know what you need to do!
If I order a lift or level from your website, who can I have it installed by? I'm in NC and I just don't know who would do it because the custom truck places sell their own stuff and I don't necessarily want the brand they primarily install.
When installing a 2.5 leveling kit and keeping the original wheel but want a bit bigger tires...do you need to replace the upper arm also ?
Kits will let you know in the description if you need to buy anything else, but it doesn't hurt to upgrade!!
Could I put the vertex coilovers on a 04 chevy with 6 inch lift?
If going with the 4" BDS lift kit, will cutting to relocate components be required on a 2017 Ram 1500 Big Horn?
It will let you know in the description if you have to! bit.ly/2DDnl83
Video about Tacoma with 6” lift. RC 6” with upgraded lift struts for $1200 or 6” zone for $1200
Nick Lozito any shock/strut from rough country is shit idk about their vortex but their other ones are crap
Both would be good comparable options! 🤙🏼
Gooseneck heavy duty trailers I’ve seen the block in the rear flating blocks
I have 2008 f150 4x4 if do 6" BDS lift with 20x10 35" tires. It's that gonna hurt my transmission? Or do I need to Regear?. I'm worry please let me know what I should do. Thank you for your videos love it.
Can you make a video abt what each lift kit looks like on a truck like 2,3,4,5,6 in
Make a video on a lifted Chevy Colorado pleazzzz😃
My biggest issue is axle hop and vibration on hard launch or towing with a 4 inch lift kit on a 2500 HD 2wd. I'm going to try some traction bars. But if that doesn't work what do you suggest?
Keep searching forums or Facebook groups to see what others did to fix it man!

What about the driveshafts for 4wd, does a 4 or 6” lift put added stress on them and if so how do you correct this
Yes it can, we recommend searching some forums! You may need to upgrade specific parts to accommodate your lift!
plz do off road bumper vid keep up the great content
Could you make a video of what you need to upgrade like upper control arms or something when you get a 7in lift kit
If you can afford to upgrade other suspension components then it’s almost always a good thing to do man! 🙏🏻
Beautiful dog 👍🇺🇸
I want a 4.5 BDS lift with coilovers, but warranty company said if I lift my truck I will void my drivetrain warranty through Toyota. So I guess I am stuck with the 3" coilover leveling kit.
Could you make a video of the recommended 5,000 mile label to retighten everything if I’m making sense
Ok I have a 4in lift kit on my 16 Sierra I want to buy an 7in rc coilovers lift kit is how difficult is it to remove the 4in lift kit and put the 7in lift

It should be alright!
do a video on when to do maintenance on ur different lift kits??

Quick question! I have a 6” NTD RC 6” lift on my 2005 Chevy Avalanche. If I win the contest... can that lift be changed out?
I tow a lot with my Silverado 1500 and do mild off roading for hunting and camping. Will a leveling kit destroy suspension components in the front?
No it won't! It can cause extra wear and tear though!
Hey guys i have a question? I just instaled a 3 inch leveling kit in my 2015 silverado 1500.. my prob is the sway bar spacer bolts are not tall enough now.. do i have to loosin the bushings to adjust the bar to match the angle now? Or did i do something wrong? Everything eles went as supose to.. all except the spacer bolts? Please help thanks
Yes the sway bar has to be adjusted down to match the control arm angle!
So I have a 2004 Ford F-150 and the back is higher than the front and I want to put a 2-inch spacer on for the wheels but if I do then they will hit the tire well so if I lift up the front to make it even with the back will that solve that problem so I can put a 2-in spacer
Will these kits you described work on a 2016 1500 denali
I’m new to trucks I was a sport car guy and I got a gen1 raptor now. I have it in mid perch and 37” on it is rubbing a little. Was thinking of lifting a bit
Raptor guys going to shun you for doing a lift kit lol
@@CustomOffsetsTV na don’t think so I only need 2” of the 37 won’t rub

Question..... 2003 ford ranger with a 4" spindle lift, can you add 2" lift coils to gain a couple more inches?
We can’t recommend stacking sadly. Best bet is to do research on the respective pages and forums
What kind of lift would you recommend for a 2019 Tacoma trdpro without losing the stock fox suspension and fitting 33" tires?
BDevi0us nothing. Not without cutting. Maybe 31” if you’re lucky.

@@SMD-si7fm I already have 31" tires on 265/75/16. The best I could find is from "88 Rotors" 1"shim in the front with a progressive aal in the rear. How to put the torsion bars on my 2002 dodge Dakota sport 4wd
Thoughts on getting a upper strut leveling kit with a lower shock spacer leveling kit? Like supreme suspensions has a 3.5in leveling kit that has both.
We do not recommend stacking lifts! We would recommend looking into a quality level or lift for the best outcome and ride quality! customoffsets.com/suspension
when it comes to suspension systems, what are "keys"
I'm very new to the truck/lift game. I just want my truck to look good and ride good. I have a 2016 Tacoma. What would you suggest? Would just getting a leveling kit be the way to go?
6 inch lift with 35s
If you having a leveling kit and you buy an torsion key lift will it still lift your truck??
We would recommend buying a lift for the size you are looking to get out of your truck! customoffsets.com/suspension
I did a 6 inch lift on my RAM1500 2WD. I noticed that the ride is hard, if I change my shocks will it soften the ride? If so, which shocks should I be looking into?
Check into Fox and King shocks! Both are really good options! customoffsets.com/suspension
BIGG RIGG I have a 8” bds lift with fox shocks, the ride is better Than stock!
Hey,
Thanks fo d great information, question, my 93 ford bronco has d stock 3.55 gears, I want to put on 35x12.5x15 tires do I need to regear? Will I put a lot of strain on d 3.55 stock gears n axles? Will I b losing a lot of power? Thank you very much
You will lost MPG either way, but yes you should re gear, search forums to see what others went with!

If I install 10+ inches of lift, will I get discounts on MMA clothing, flat brimmed caps, and energy drinks at the mall, and tribal tattoos at the tattoo parlor?
I know you can tow with a kit, i always wondered, can you tow the same amount ? (11000 lbs+ on my F150)
As long as you buy a quality lift you would be alright! 🤘🏼
What shock upgrade would you recommend for a 6 inch RCX lift on a 05 Silverado 1500???🤔🤔🤔
Jimmy Guerrero don’t get rough country save up get the good stuff
Fox or King! 🤘🏼 customoffsets.com/suspension
forged bowtie I got a 2wd so don’t have many options I don’t think you can put a bds or zone 4wd suspension on a 2wd can you🤔
So i did a 3in spindel leveling kit on a 03 f150 2wd but my tires look like on angle do I need to change the upper arm? control still has the stock
It wouldn't hurt to change them!

Love how you pay for a youtube ad on your own video just to have the beginning of the video the same as the ad 😂
That's called an investment 😂
Ok I've got a 2017 Silverado 4X4 with a level spacer... I am having a suspension problem and of course Chevy is blaming the level. I am looking to up-grade the complete front suspension... I would love a Fox coil-overs, upper/lower control arms and whatever else there is.... Do you have a Kit like that but in a level only no lift... BDS? or ?
If not what components would you up-grade besides struts, upper/lower control arms on a Chevy?
You can check out Kryptonite! bit.ly/2VVYG4q
Others wise those are a good start to replace!
If you go with BDS like I have, you may regret it later.
Is it true that lift kits raise your truck’s center of gravity? I’m trying to decide whether I want to get my Ranger lifted.
When do you need to get a longer driveshaft??
Depends on how far your differentials drop. Think of it as a triangle, the longer side B (differential drop) = longer hypotenuse (drive shaft). If your differentials aren't dropped, then you don't need a new drive shaft. With rear solid axles, you would need longer or adjustable control arms to properly align the rear axle and keep a good pinion angle
Jay Poduval when she starts complaining
Usually anything over 4 inches but all trucks are different.
Wow,older leaf spring suspension way easier to install
What happened to all the zone offroad kits for rams? All that comes up are upper control arms and a leveling kit with body lift

Im more wondering if its worth getting like a bds over a Rancho lift because my truck has a ranchero and my dads has a ranchero and my cousin has a rough country that i dont like so is bds worth the price difference
BDS is a very good brand and worth the price!
Can you put a say 2-3 lift shock on a non lifted rig to get a slight lift? I have larger rims and tires and I'm rubbing. Trying not to drop $600 on a lift kit right now.
Shocks don't really lift a truck!
If I were to put a 4.75 inch suspension lift on a 09 silverado 1500 would it probably be able to run 22x12s with a -51 mm. offset with 35s?
With minor trimming that may be involved, most go with -44, but you should be fine with -51!
@@CustomOffsetsTV awesome thank you very much
Good video for sure. I just hate how big all the rims are on the trucks they show. What ever happened to 18" wheels running 35" tires?????? Looks way harder than these tiny tires
I haven’t been this early since well ever
I think regearing is more necessary for gas engines as diesels have that torque to turn the wheels easier
Do you think me going from 29 inch’s to 32inches with no lift on a base 2.5 L 4 cylinder needs regearing ?
How long does the process generally take from the moment the order is placed to the moment it's shipped?
Colin Curley 10-15 business days for wheel and tire packages. Lift kits are typically a bit quicker than that.
