The prices change a lot. The local 4wheelparts place want to charge me 150.00 a shock and like 200 something a strut and I was like forget that just went to a license mechanic and had installed.
Your better off buy everything separately, all your doing is paying for a name when it comes to procomps tires and wheel packages. You don’t even have to get name brand tires either if you trying to save. All in all for the lift kit, and installing plus tires. I spent about 2500.00
Joshua Valdez Nice yea the tires are a little more pricey so I think I’m just gettin the pro comp rims 6050 10 gauge chrome They’re only $197.99 ea for 20x9 rims And I’m gonna do a zone lift kit for about $1995.00 plus tax with installation i already got quote Still need to figure out tires
That ain’t bad I’ve never personally tried out a zone but I heard they are good kits and well depends how much your looking to spend. You can buy some toyo open country M/T for like 350 ea or save some cash and get some amps for like 150.00 bucks cheaper. It really comes down to what you want. Name or function

SEMA is mainly the trial and error run of most new upcoming wheels and models that could make it to market. Lack of interest/fitment issues could be a possibility as to why you would not see it available after having been showcased.
Bought my truck dropped cause I always wanted a dropped truck , but I realized how nonfunctional it is so I ordered a 7 inch lift kit on it , gonna run 20x10 on 35 , gonna make a video on it soon ! Super excited can't wait
Is it weird I like a combo of the main 3? My big thing is to not mess with the body and looks so much but lights look great and maybe a 5 inch lift with 37’s that is still drivable on the street and also does well off road.
Personally, I'm a combo of overlander and OEM+. I've got a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 Litre (one of my mom's cars that I had bought off of her when she moved to Sweden) with grip pads, pro comp 15x10 -47, black, aluminum 8 hole rims, 31X10.5 duratracs and a 2" leveling kit (only had to cut a notch out of the bottom of the plastic bumper cover to fit). Mostly so I don't tip over on quad trails and so I can camp at the place I get to. The only mods I have planned for the future are a front winch, a roof rack with jacks and shovel and spare on top, and maybe 2 inch wheel spacers for the rear wheels. So far though, the 4.0 straight 6 Jeep ZJ has been my dream "everything truck" for the comfort, the capability (I have a 20 foot trailer for the summer that it tows with ease thanks to the optional, OEM, extra transmission cooler) and the functionality and I don't want to ruin the truck for what it already has. My summer car is a 1974 Ford Maverick (my mom's first car and my second car that I bought off her) that is staying bone stock as long as I can help it and I need to keep an all weather vehicle for the other times, being that I live in Canada. My mom was a gear head at heart, she just never had the money to show it (I can tell that because she always complained that she should've bought the standard transmission Jeep and not the "silly automatic") and I have a lot of respect for her as a person, so I figured I would explain why she raised me to be the way that I am. Great video BTW! You guys earned a new sub :)
17x8.5 wheels with less than 2 inch poke. 35x12.5 tires with a 2-3 inch level looks good and makes any truck better in all terrain mode. Its been my combo for a few years on my trucks
When I bought a truck I just go with the same height from factory and I buy after market rims that are the same size as the factory but way nicer rims and all terrain tires by wildpeak AT3 after that I buy a muffler for my truck for sound so I can hear my v8 louder and a deep rumble
I’m the OEM guy. Bought a 2003 expedition put the 3in leveling kit on the front and 2.5in on the rear (rear sits a tad higher for towing purposes) Added a flowmaster catback exhaust (you can barely hear it) put a sent of 35x11.50 Toyo open country at3s on my factory 17s. Then slapped on an HID kit from xenonpro.com with other led accent lights (tag, turn/parking, puddle, interior. Slapped on a set of tow mirrors (actually use them for towing purposes) and to finish it off a led bull bar rough country. I love it because I can always see people’s faces wondering if it’s stock or not.
I like my “30 foot” trucks. Looks awesome from 30 feet, but any closer and you see every adventure into the Bush to get a deer, cut wood or to your camp. If you know what a cedar branch sounds like on the side of your truck, we’re pretty much best friends, lol.
I did buy my XJ with a lift already installed, but I've done so much work on it since then. I've got a whole new exhaust set up, new front bumper and winch, tires, roof rack, light bars. I'm still not done with it!! I love this Jeep and I plan on putting a lot more work into it.
For a 4x4 purpose built truck you dont want to lift more than 4 inches, less if you can. You move the center of gravity to high and can risk a roll over on a trail.
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 vortec cammed engine it’s a brown truck with the original rims and it doesn’t have crazy flashy mods it just has performance mods like the engine the exhaust system a twin turbo and new tires not rims tires it’s fender it’s dented but it still makes a bunch of horses I need to take it to a dyno one day to see how much horsepower it makes
Same . Mine is a 2003 . 84 mm single . 8# boost for towing work trailer . All forged internals roller valvetrain cammed . Got some drag radials more boost and hp tuners for the weekend .
I have a 2 1/2” leveling kit with 32.6” tires on 20X9 wheels. Morimoto smoked headlights and tailights. Smoked third brake light. Nerf side bars. Bed cover. Fender flares and added a Flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust with an S&B cold air intake. It’s my own stamp. Oh yeah it’s a 2018 Chevy Silverado Z71 LT midnight edition. I got it ceramic coated which I highly recommend!
Just_guy_ stuff tbh I think a body swap beats an engine swap. I saw a build where someone stuck a 1970s ford extended cab long bed, onto a 2002 ford 7.3 chassis with its modern drivetrain.
I know this is primarily a 4X4 lifted truck channel and all, and I’m all for that. Just bought a 2001 ram 2500 Cummins 4X4 and I love it, just like I’ve loved most of my 4X4’s. But, I’ve also got another truck that is my actual “build” it’s a ‘93 gmc 1500. Started life as a 4.3 700R4 2wd truck. Now the plans are to put a more updated suspension on it set up for handling, possibly build a twin turbo’d 4.3 for it or build a 327 for it. And if it’s in the budget back it with a good 5 or 6 speed. Also have to change the rear end as it is tiny and fragile like glass. But that’s beside the point here. Another type of reasonably popular build is the performance build. Not lifting a truck or necessarily even having a 4X4, just making the thing handle well and be stupid fast to embarrass camaro’s, mustangs, chargers, etc. that’s what my hopes and plans for that truck are. And a bonus, the Cummins won’t be a true 4X4 build either. It’s going to be a longevity, power, and pulling setup that will hopefully end up being a 800lb-ft reliable daily driver that I can hook to anything I need to pull and go anywhere with. Not criticizing the video at all and I think the content here is great, just think the non 4X4 builds or non off-road builds should have a place too

Your better off buy everything separately, all your doing is paying for a name when it comes to procomps tires and wheel packages.
You don’t even have to get name brand tires either if you trying to save.
All in all for the lift kit, and installing plus tires. I spent about 2500.00
Joshua Valdez
Nice yea the tires are a little more pricey so I think I’m just gettin the pro comp rims 6050 10 gauge chrome
They’re only $197.99 ea for 20x9 rims
And I’m gonna do a zone lift kit for about $1995.00 plus tax with installation i already got quote
Still need to figure out tires
That ain’t bad I’ve never personally tried out a zone but I heard they are good kits and well depends how much your looking to spend. You can buy some toyo open country M/T for like 350 ea or save some cash and get some amps for like 150.00 bucks cheaper. It really comes down to what you want.
Name or function
Overlander 💪 definitely need that traction in my life
Not gonna lie I'm not a truck fan, but this is an interesting video to find in my recommend
I like all types of builds whether it is the showoff or the offroad truck. At the end of the day if you have the money do whatever you want to your truck.
2011 Tacoma, 3" Daystar lift. Cooper AT3, going places... Not just another mall crawler.
Yota army 👊👊
Not sure where I fall... Colorado ZR2 Diesel, 6inch suspension lift, 2 inch body lift, 40 inch tires, bigger turbo and boost turned up, snorkel and exhaust stack, flood lights and 2 winches. Particulate filter deleted, high flow cat with new DEF system. Use it for checking cattle in the pastures and go rock crawling /mudding. It's also my daily driver.
What about the dropped trucks on intros? Or reps? Thats a big common build.
No les importan los tacuaches cuh
OEM plus build >>> everything else
I’ll be that leveled and stanced person come spring 😂
I freaking love that Tundra you have behind you

Who cares what build you have ALL trucks are awesome as long as it's not a Honda 🤣
Nissan* Honda makes good engines my 1987 Honda big red is proof of that.
@@joezze-bear Honda doesn't make real trucks 🤣 so whatever you say
Christopher Barrett I’m not talking about trucks, soooo
Joezze-Bear well you’re on a truck page sooooo
Joezze-Bear Titan is a pretty decent truck, and frontiers do great off road. Honda is complete crap
Love that Tundra in the background! That's a sharp truck

No way some of the shots in this vid are in front of the custom offsets my family's company built, god damn it looks good
Building my 96 F250 into a moderate overlander myself. Bigger tires, some shock upgrades, light bars and pods, and just some good trail stuff.
What about those guys that drop their trucks as if it was an e30 lol
I’m a type 1 btw
We don't talk about them. Their unspeakable
Remington Owens it’s a complete waste of a truck lol
@@gonzfrancisco13 I agree, what use is there for that? I call them speed bumps because my stock truck can go over them, it's so stupid
They’re called airbags. Those that have airbags probably have more use than you do.
Cory Hayden nah, the truck scene in Colorado has a lot of the trucks dropped and a lot of them are sketchy builds
Mine is overland and OEM + 2007 f150, I’ve got 35 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ with rough country leveling, light bar and a few other mods. Otherwise somthing that can tow and haul but also play and be a daily driver
i love how he is still liking recent comments.
I just bought a ford raptor I think it’s the best bang for the buck truck you can get these days there functional look amazing and you don’t need to dump a ton of money into them to be happy with how they ride or look
3:26 what kind of sense does it make to have a rim showcased at SEMA and then not have them available? "Look at our cool rims.....that we don't have."

Update, truck is at the shop getting lifted
I'm definitely OEM+
Guys this is why we love trucks, because we can personalize them for what we do and what we want. Offroad or street, so many options for what we want.
Is it weird I like a combo of the main 3? My big thing is to not mess with the body and looks so much but lights look great and maybe a 5 inch lift with 37’s that is still drivable on the street and also does well off road.
I did like that lower red one that was sick
y'all should release some off your music background, sound hella good
Nice looking Tundra 😍
I just level it and put 34" tires on and call it good.
Very cool! We also really appreciate the love and support thank you!
See I’m that 1% of people who put 22x12s on and still sends it through the mud hole 😂😂
You are a beautiful man, and the reason why these crybabies need to shove it
Overlanding is life.
Also can one find leveling keys for a first gen Nissan Xterra? My 31s fit without a lift, but I lifted the back 1.5" already.
Tell me why I shouldn’t get 22x14s with Nitto 420s
Brandon Ebersole because you will really like them if you get them, so don’t get them, be sad
There is no reason you shouldnt get 22x14s with Nitto 420s.
Because you're broke.
You bought a muffler? Or you took it off and bought a new exhaust? Mufflers are what make your truck quiet.
alex lopez depends what muffler u get I have a super 10 on my tundra it ain’t quiet is pretty loud and noticeable
I’m the OEM guy. Bought a 2003 expedition put the 3in leveling kit on the front and 2.5in on the rear (rear sits a tad higher for towing purposes)
Added a flowmaster catback exhaust (you can barely hear it) put a sent of 35x11.50 Toyo open country at3s on my factory 17s.
If you like to build your truck/car if your a car/truck enthusiast you will appreciate all builds :)
I like my “30 foot” trucks. Looks awesome from 30 feet, but any closer and you see every adventure into the Bush to get a deer, cut wood or to your camp.
If you know what a cedar branch sounds like on the side of your truck, we’re pretty much best friends, lol.
Breaks my heart everytime😂😂😂
Where the drop trucks at do!!
I did buy my XJ with a lift already installed, but I've done so much work on it since then. I've got a whole new exhaust set up, new front bumper and winch, tires, roof rack, light bars. I'm still not done with it!! I love this Jeep and I plan on putting a lot more work into it.
Damn can’t believe you didn’t mention mini trucks
It's not the 90s. Mini truckin' is no longer popular. I'd still love to scrape frame with a hardbody though.
Mini truck never died we just hoard them
@@gravitygear it's back in a different form , allot of people are engine swapping s10s and Dakota's and rangers
LS turbo everything lol
@@jacksmith-ql3jo LS swap the world
22x12 on 33s looks good to me
Let’s just make this vid simple
4 types of truck builds
-Not Lifted
-Semi Lifted
-Normally Lifted
-SUPREMELY LIFTED
For a 4x4 purpose built truck you dont want to lift more than 4 inches, less if you can. You move the center of gravity to high and can risk a roll over on a trail.
No quema cuh
Ariel what about Lowered?
I’m 13 and got my truck figured out. 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 7inch lift kit and rims and tires👍🏼
Hell ya!
I'm that "almost completely rebuild my truck" kinda person. My truck is 2wd but I want a 4x4 and I dont want to get another truck
I would take the last one out and give the lowered truck guys some love
More wheel, less rubber is the best in my opinion
Nothing looks better than stock chrome rims on 33 boggers
I feel like engine swappers should have had a place
Just_guy_ stuff tbh I think a body swap beats an engine swap. I saw a build where someone stuck a 1970s ford extended cab long bed, onto a 2002 ford 7.3 chassis with its modern drivetrain.
The most popular group of the swap genre are arabs. 🤣😂 Doing swaps after each run lol.
Completely overlook Slam’d trucks. Which if not to extreme are cool as hell.
Takuaches have entered the chat
I love watching videos on THE RUclips.
I’m probably either OEM plus or Function
Not criticizing the video at all and I think the content here is great, just think the non 4X4 builds or non off-road builds should have a place too
“Build” “wheels tires and lift” not a build....build is heads, cam, lockers, carb, blower....
Ford Fanatic or “build” a house. Or “build” a fence. Orrrrr “build” the wall;)
And turbos, most diesels run turbos
Bruh I thought your name was an insult from the other guy when he replied
Ford Fanatic you are correct.
I'm thinking both. actually.
Thank you for your perspective as it definitely helps me settle into what I want my truck too look like. You guys are awesome - cheers
Oem plus build🤷🏻♂️
Thanks Custom Offsets for making these videos and giving out good advice! Keep it going !
