Because people that have no clue about diesel trucks, just say 12v swap it. Personally I own an lb7 and it runs fantastic and with the right mods will stomp the shit out of any cummins

Got an 04 Silverado 4x4 with 202,700 on the 5.3. Very rusty needs new rockers inside and out, cab corners are gone too, but the frame is solid and the floor is too, I wanna bring it back (new metal) cause I love it! These engines are awesome it runs so smoothly and quiet like new!

I bought my current 2005 Chevy Colorado for $500. It's has LED lights, a Bluetooth stairio, and LED Tail lights.
My shit box was a 2000 f150 5.3 v8 trident 2wd that was a farm truck that had like 240,000 something miles and was my daily and was a complete shitbox but damn i loved the hell out of it and miss it so much

My truck has almost 900k kms on it (I'm in canada) and ran like a champ till parked 4 yrs ago but you can't beat the reliability of a 7.3 powerstroke

bro half those trucks i would consider fair condition and would drive on road, and you think 320k miles is tones for being on original parts but i wouldn't bat an eye at that when buying a diesel. but i guess that's bc there less rusty from no salt on the roads around here. iv seen a 2001 hilux with over 500k miles on it fully original and legal and had been off roaded most its life. as well as many land cruisers having around 650k miles and still being legal.
