Mad respect to you guys at Custom Offsets, I also prefer custom built exhausts and hate straight pipes. You can make a loud exhaust if you buy the right muffler. Plenty out there like Borla, Carven, Corsa, etc. I have Dynomax Mini Race Bullets which are $25 mufflers and they’re as loud as a straight pipe. Headers also wake up the exhaust. Throw in an X or H pipe, duals and you’re good to go.

For a street truck that sees offroad in the points of percentages of its life your throwing away millions of dollars of engineering of the suspension. Locking differentials are a way better option to keep ride handling and give offroad prowess. Body lift then suspension if you need it and dont go cheap either. Im running a 6 inch lift on a single cab 01 chevy and the keys are cranked i have no problems at all and actually rides smoother than when it had a stock suspension 🤷🏽‍♂️
(Edit) also has dual cat back straight pipes and sounds way better than any system ive ever heard in my opinion, things dont get annoyingly loud until you cut the cats off. To anyone thats sees this the best advice is your own if you like what your doing then keep on doin it as long as your staying safe ❤️🤙🏽

As a truck enthusiast born and raised in NC I will attest we absolutely do not generally support the squat. The squat guys around here aren’t truck guys, they’re children that drive to the mall and get stuck on a curb lol. We make fun of them constantly. When NC passed the law making the squat illegal in 12/2021 we were all like “awwww now we have to find something else to laugh at” hahaha

Disagree entirely with the muffler situation; 1. Depends on the truck and setup, on my 2013 5.0 F-150, I kept my resonator on and side-dumped it, sounds great and not too loud at all, 2. I hate the sound of diesels and turbos, so a straight piped diesel would sound terrible in my opinion

Key lifts are fine if you get the new key with the different angle. Wouldnt crank the factory ones up but ive put keys on my shit that lifts it 2" and ride quality is fine. I even got 2 way adjustable shocks so it accounts for rebound and compression..

Straight piping isn’t a bad thing. It all depends on your use and where you live etc. Some sound good. Others don’t. It’s personal preference. My diesel is straight pipped and it’s glorious. I just don’t start it before 8am or after 10pm.

Body lifts make it so much easier to work on your truck. Also allows you to get the frame much cleaner after the fun. Also adds more cooling airflow to things like the fuel cooler under the frame and trans-pan. My body lift helped tremendously getting hot air out from my engine compartment.

So for like the 70’s fords if you put body lift in in you can turn the bumper brackets upside down and there won’t be a gap between the bumpers and the body of the truck and then put something to hide the gap between the frame and body but I agree I don’t like body lift at all

Thankfully I was only pulling out of my driveway so I wasn’t going 65, unfortunately the people behind me and coming the other way were, but i somehow managed to control it and didn’t go off the road. Don’t get not hub centric spacers peeps, it is not worth it. Almost losing all your wheels is a very very horrible feeling.
