5 MODS that RUINED our trucks...

- We’ve ALL been there… We’ve ALL done it… But learn from us and don’t do THIS to your truck! Here are our Top 5 truck mods that will ruin your truck! www.customwheeloffset.com/
Today, Fuller talks about truck modifications that, although they looked cool and worked, are some of the worst ideas when it comes to modifying your truck. We aren’t going to say we regret doing these to our own trucks, but we probably shouldn't because they're questionable in quality and just questionable overall. Here are our Top 5 worst truck mods.
Don’t Crank Your Torsion Bars
The first thing every 16-year-old wants to do with their new truck is to lift it and put bigger wheels and tires on it, but let’s be honest, they can’t afford a suspension kit. Because of that, they’ll crank the keys on the torsion bars to lift the truck and avoid breaking the bank. This adds additional strain on the factory components while also making the truck ride like crap. Our recommendation, buy a leveling kit ► bit.ly/3sC3IVe
No Straight Pipe Exhaust
Removing parts of your exhaust is not good for your engine nor is it cool to be really loud. Secondly, get a quality exhaust system, don’t go with the cheapest option. Don’t spend $200 on something that will fall apart, buy a true exhaust system not only will it sound better it could actually help the performance of your truck. The options are basically endless when it comes to what you're putting on your truck. Check out our selection of exhaust systems ► bit.ly/3MemoC6
Don’t Plasti Dip Your Truck or Wheels?
Plasti Dip is not a mod… Don’t do it. It's great for badges if you're trying to black out your badges or you want to black out your grill. It's cool, it works, but don’t make the mistake (like we did) of plasti-dipping an entire truck or your wheels. If you take your truck off-road or if you drive your truck down the street and there's any sort of dust out there it clings to it because plasti-dip is rubber and literally everything sticks to it without coming off.
Fake Performance Parts
Don’t waste your money on cheap parts that claim to boost the performance of your truck. There’s nothing worse than spending your hard-earned money on performance parts only to realize that they are fake and don't actually do anything. Don’t fall for the gimmicks, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
Blue Headlights and Light Bars
We’ve all seen the $70 HID headlights available on the internet, but don’t fall victim to this. Speaking from experience, get them in and think wow I’m cool because I have super bright headlights and then you drive in the rain and you realize that you can't see while other motorists are flashing their brights at you. Additionally, don’t overdo it with cheap light bars. These can be useful if you do a lot of off-roading or driving at night, but make sure you get a quality set so they don’t break or turn yellow within a year.

"Don't be the guy out there that's got blue headlights in 2019."
Me in 2020 with 10000K in my Tahoe: "Oh. Oops."
So glad I listened to the shop that I took my truck to when I almost bought the 10000k bulbs and talked me into the 7000k. Way better lol
@@blakedavis0723 I actually just got done installing 8000k leds. They're much brighter and I'm very happy.
@@skarnage_tahoe4691 6000k is brighter and you get a bit of "blue". Telling you right now those 8k bulbs are actually dimmer than a new halogen bulb (especially if they're those Chinese bulbs). From experience. I had 8K HIDs, went to 6K HID and much more light and far more usable. Now I run ~5500K LEDs and they're actually brighter than my 8K 55w HID setup.

I was hoping it was going to be the last one to show u.u very sad!
Bugbmx has a video of that truck with those tires

V8 badges on a v6 is hilarious too.
I put V6 badges on my V8 truck.
So are fake chromed plastic Buick fender holes. I one saw a 57 Chevy hood ornament on a hood scoop on a Tundra. It also had a rear wing. Crazy stuff they sell at Pep Boys and Auto Zone.
I've seen a guy driving around in a Nissan Juke with a V8 badge on the back near my work.
I put a cummins badge on an F150 when I was a kid
I left the 4.3 emblem on the deck lid after dropping in real 350. Real as in a early 70s 4 bolt truck block.
This one time at band camp I stuck a flute in my tailpipe.

When I was 16 me and my dad made an exhaust out of an old kids swing set lol
And if you level your truck for gods sake adjust the damn headlights properly after so you don't blind the crap out of the rest of us.
No.
Lol I was a little guilty of this. But at least I have actually nice looking LED's with a good pattern instead of those horrendous HID headlights. Those are the ugliest thing known to the car community. I mean unless you trying to totally blue out your car/truck lol
Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou...
You need to crank them down even before the leveling. Everything ships blinding.

I drilled a bottle opener on the inside of the bed best mod ever
Did you paint the hole you drilled tho?
So rust don’t start
You’re a pretty fart smella my friend
You sir are genius
If you use three on each side, two on the tailgate and the right screws, you can add great-looking USEFUL tie-downs to the inside of any truck bed.
Great idea, yes, but real men don’t need bottle openers😄
My first truck I actually jerry rigged a body lift by drilling through solid bricks and installing them with longer lag bolts from tractor supply. One of the bricks broke and my cab started rocking back and forward when I was driving my truck. Ah good times
So your truck literally rode like a brick🤣🤣🤣
People used to use hockey pucks which would be better
😂
Reminds me of the time I bought a rust bucket of a ford ranger truck that looked great on the inside, found out after driving 30 miles that the leaf spring in the back was held up by 1x4's of which the ones making it level had wiggled out while driving, only a single 1x4 was left holding the leaf spring upon arrival at home. The suspicious brand new cheap bedliner was hiding the hole the spring made when the bracket failed & the spring went through the bed. I installed a brand-new Leaf spring bracket, next time I drove it, the water pump blew. Fun times when you try to go the cheap route & "make it work". Good times indeed.

Brother, you got off cheap! Mine hooked up the house(ok...it was a clapped out, pop up camper with bad tires and duct tape repairs in the screens)...at least she left the dog(house trained) and as a bonus, took the cat(not house trained and was allergic to mouse dandruff)...the only good thing in that relationship was the truck(it's in her name, not mine and so is the banknote)...man...I'm gonna miss her(good credit rating)...on a high note, the new one has a fantastic figure (boobs that I didn't have to pay for), and a great job(local strip club), she doesn't sleep with my friends (and all her stripper friends want to sleep with me)...I think I might just be in love(don't worry fellas, I won't screw up and marry this one)...this girl is actually good with money and has made some great decisions about investing...she made me quit my job so that we can spend more time together...were going to the Ford stealership in the morning and to get me a new house (slide in camper) in the afternoon...probably the best thing is that she doesn't want to move in with me...why am I so lucky? Probably because I made all of my mistakes when I was younger and I had a little alteration done by the local plastic surgeon (added some length and girth, not too much)and I had a pump installed (usually old guys do this, but why wait? Never goes soft until you want it to)...you might think I'm crazy, or even a liar, but when I expire, they'll never get rid of the smile on my face, and as long as she can stand the smell, the ol' lady can still ride me until I rot away, or they burn me...warning: some details of the aforementioned comment may have been slightly exaggerated...you decide which ones...y'all take care...đã wõõķìëë

Who buys an Amazon lightbar? I got a real quality one from Harbor Freight.
You and my dad could just spend the whole day agreeing on the quality of Harbor Freight. Lol
I got one from Tractor Supply lol
Hmmmm...Harbor Freight: not the tools I'd wanna make a living with, but in many cases they're all the tool a home owner needs.
Harbor Freight is the shit.
There are tests here on RUclips, pitting Harbor Freight's higher end, but still inexpensive, Icon tools against Snap On. The Icon tool very often beats the Snap On.
I didn’t even straight pipe my truck I cut it off right past the o2 senser and I regretted it almost immediately. It cost 1,300 dollars to fix too
This is really accurate! I’m 19 years old and have ALL those mods on my truck, except the plastidip I refuse to put that on my truck at all, I have two light bars! I also own a Ford Ranger😂

"there was no back pressure for your motor" all right, there goes his credibility...
Jakob Watson fr
It does mess with back pressure and makes it run like shit
@@BrendonNasty lmao not
Took the exhaust manifold off my ‘85 Toyota pickup. Wouldn’t run without the back pressure. Second you left off the gas, dead. But it was loud as hell. Like two dumpsters having intercourse.
Cammed GTO 😂😂 yeah nice car do they make em for men?
When I was 16, my family had a 1987 Toyota Tacoma with a blown motor and sun damage to the paint job, gotta love North Carolina. Plasti dipped the truck but we had a wrecked 1989 Ford mustang with a 5.0
So we took the short box bench seat Toyota, installed the powertrain from the mustang and a adapter kit which was custom made, in the Toyota. 6 inch procomp suspension and a 2 inch body lift on 38 mud tires. Used to lock the front hubs and would bark all 4 tires lol great truck, lot of fun and yeah the mud never came out but it was built for mudding. Original paint was red, and turned pink in some spots, yellowish red in others. Rhino liner the bed, had to spot weld the holes. Plasti dip was desert drab. Exhaust was shot from the original motor and the mustang so my father paid to have a borla exhaust from headers back. Ugly as sin, loud as hell, rode nice on the road, beast in the mud. Prior to motor swap, the 5.0 had a 0.20 over bore, and was a complete rebuild. New crank cam heads rockers push rods valves and seals. It had a 5 speed manual, complete rebuild with a stage 2 skunk short throw kit.
Truck was hit by a drunk driver while getting gas. Driver tried to drive away but his vehicle was too damaged. Turns out he was a illegal and no insurance on there truck. Truck was parted out after that. Destroyed the cab but the powertrain was good.
I've done pretty much all of this in younger years... Pretty satisfying to know I wasn't the only one. Definitely avoid all of these if you can but at the same time I think doing what you can afford at a young age sets the stage for keeping interest for better ideas with experience. If I hadn't body-lifted and put HID's on my '99 Explorer I don't know if I'd be looking at full suspension lift systems and LED headlights for my newer F-150 today. Great video and thank you

I get that question a ton. Pucks are never a good option. I went with 5100 series 3” taller shocks and icon uniball UCAs and I’m here to tell you, that IS the way to go. I’ve got 35”s on a levelled truck and rides great. ‘17 ram
Yeah, body lifts should be #1 worse mod.
Love the list guys. The only one I have to oppose would be the cheap light bar mod. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn away one of those high dollar light blasting bastards. But I've been running a $30 20" bar I bought off Wish 2 years ago and that lil dude has been solid! Surprisingly bright, no water on the inside, all my led's are burning. No to mention being stood on by my niece as she felt compelled to climb my ARB front bumper. I'm a firm believer of "You get what you pay for" but I trumped the system on that one.
Jesus loves you alot trust in His death 4 salvation and be saved from eternal hell ❤ Jesus died on the cross for you bro.
I assumed the cheap cold air intakes would suck so I went with k&n. The K&N cold air intake is cool. It sounds and looks really good. For me the sound/hum kicks in at about 2000 RPM. Worth every penny and "so far so good" on my engine temps during towing. I've had it a few weeks ago we'll see what happens.
The cheap LEDs off Amazon actually work pretty good. I have a desert race track in Colorado and they have held up well I bought piaa hella and rigid over the years and they work great. But I've been surprised how well the cheap ones work as well.
I bought my light at on Amazon for 50$, came with the wiring harness and everything. I bought it in 2017, had it on two different cars and it still works and looks new to this day surprisingly.
My Amazon lightbar works just fine lol. Do I want a nice rigid light bar? Yes!!!!! Can I afford one? No!!!! Lol. And it works just fine on my POS 92 RANGER LOL
minesmith67 i have a ‘95 lol
I’ve had a rough country and a Amazon one and honestly the only difference I seen was the rough country logo on one of them 😴👍🏻
U can usually buy 10 Amazon ones for the price of one rigid so doesn’t it really matter if they are more durable ill just buy another one
Yeah I got a cheap light bar on my truck, had it for 2 years and still works great, still looks pretty clean, but it is getting a slight yellow tint the longer I have it. I'm not complaining though, it's still freaking bright as can be.
It’s all about the cheap amazon pos little cubes, mine have been through hell and back and still work prime

I wanted to get a nice set of locking lug nuts. Instead of spending $500 I decided to go with $80 for the Chinese set. When they arrived I was tickled to death because you could not tell the difference between the expensive set and the knockoff Chinese set. I went to install them with the special locking key, put on 1st wheel, went to the 2nd wheel, installed three more lug nuts. And the special key stripped out. I contacted the company in China and it was like talking to an earthworm here in the USA. After waiting 2 months and driving around with two different style lugnuts.I had to end up buying a second set just to purchase the special key to remove all of the lug nuts that I put on. on the last lug nut the key stripped out as well. I had to use vise grips to get the last lugnut off. I won't ever buy cheap Lugnuts again!!!!
Dont buy cheap Chinese ANYTHING for your vehicle. Your experience is pretty well universal in that regard

Ran tons of Amazon lights on vehicles for years and never had a single issue with any on them. Headlights, pods, bars all used almost every night of the week for thousands of hours.
I plastidipped my wheels and I freaking loved it. Had no regrets. $35 bucks to black out my wheels for two years. No problem taking it off. Best investment i made on my car. 10/10 would do again.
I have my front and rear bumpers plasti dipped. 10/10 reccomend
I've done wheels on several vehicles and never had an issue through winters or car washed or anything... and they painted their avalanche incorrectly...plasti dipping, done right, is no different than a wrap and comes off super easy

Don't do it! Get a small body lift (2-3") and larger tires. Automatically increases truck height by 6" or more and it still looks porportional. Also won't have HP and torque issues.
What is a good tune i got a 2007 ram 1500 4.7 and im looking at the superchips flashpak tune its a little over 300 i think maybe 350$?
Wow, it's always interesting to see what new mods, (and I use that word sparingly), the younger generation is doing to their vehicles. In my day, (70's - 80's), it was traction bars that did not have a strap on the front ends, to stop them from virtually digging into the asphalt under hard braking at speed, and literally tearing the rear end right out from under the car. Or the air shocks that we installed to fit larger wheels/tires under our fenders in the back, which not only made the vehicle ride stiff, but also changed the front to rear center of gravity, causing it to be able to spin the tires much easier but also adversely affected handling.
Your dip technique was sooo bad. Don't knock a product you don't apply or use properly. All else is spot on!
Why was it wrong?
He probably did light coats and the dip had texture. You’re supposed to do wet coats to have a smooth surface but wet coats can lead to runs so ppl play it save with super light coats.

Had a 32" light bar behind the grille of my 2014 gmc Sierra...off amazon for around $30. And it worked perfect for 5 years and still was working perfectly when I sold the truck two months ago
Exactly. My life doesn’t depend on it. Just some extra light on dark roads. Going on two years with mine; still works. When it quits, I’ll cough up another $30.

Not gonna lie I straight up just cut the mufflers off lol
Love it ... Just did a $40 Pepboy's exhaust for my Jeep YJ .. $30 glasspack and $10 in adapters to make it fit LOL
I'll say this once more; 4 STROKE ENGINES HATE BACK PRESSURE!!! Stop perpetuating this myth!!
Preach!
@bobwatters Whoa, pump the brakes Bob. Since you mention semantics, let's start with this, scavenging does not equal backpressure, and backpressure is not the same as scavenging. Clear enough? In fact, scavenging creates a vacuum in the cylinder, quite the opposite of backpressure... Now look back at previous comments and tell us who said scavenging is bad?
Joshua Black nice cuz I'm gunna do a muffler swap unless it costs me in performance
I was literally just gonna type that further up. I cant believe people still believe that an engine needs restriction. You only lose power when you go too big and lose gas velocity
An oversized exhaust will not move gasses through as fast as a smaller exhaust would. Straight pipes are fine, but it has to be the right size for your application. If you straight pipe your stock truck that makes 250 HP with a 3 inch tube, then it's going to hurt performance bc the air is moving slower causing it to be more turbulent, and creating flow issues. But if you have a 2 inch straight pipe on your 250HP stock truck then the air is moving fast enough to have a more laminar and less turbulent flow. This creates the correct amount of back pressure and flow for your engine. The correct amount of back pressure will help suck exhaust gasses out of the cylinder as when the valve is open.
I agree with pretty much all of these, but I've plastic dipped my roof and its been pretty much perfect if you know what products to clean it with, I've also had a $50 52 inch curved amazon lightbar on my roof for about 3 years and its still working good as new and there's no water in it whatsoever. guess I just got lucky with that lol
I've been thinking about plasti dipping some parts of my jeep but not anymore! Thanks!
You should definitely do a collab vid with DYC regarding plasti dip. It'll be good viewership for the both of you and you will most likely find a new love for plasti dip!
Cheers
He should actually read this and then go watch dyc's response video to this. It's sad how negative he is about his own failure to correctly use the product.
Since the few times we've dipped entire vehicles on personal projects hasn't gone as well as we hoped for we've decided to stick to wheels, tires, and suspension, and let Fonz remain king of dip. We are stoked to visit his facility in April and learn the RIGHT way to do it, from the expert himself!
My amazon light bar and pods are still working just fine. And my lack of a muffler well that was the rusts fault on a 91 f150.
hi, i got my very first truck not too long ago. its my *very first* vehicle. its a 2008 dodge ram 1500, regular cab, standard transmission. it does have an itty bitty engine, a v6 gas.
basically, it sounds like a vacuum and i wanted to change that. my mother had her 2008 chevy silverado 2500 straight piped and i think it sounds great. rugged, but its cool. i dont know how good my truck could sound with it being a v6, and i dont want to take away from its performance. its 6 gear, but it cant keep up in 6th gear. i really dont want to take away from whatever power it does have now, because i intend to pull a small trailer at some point.
how can i get it to make some noise other than "vacuum" without spending a ton of money and possibly hurting my performance by straight piping?
I will admit to many of these mods, first thing I did when I got my 2000 silverado was cut the muffler out and told the muffler shop to weld in a piece of pipe, definitely didn’t make it faster but it sounds pretty great if you ask me😂 also the $40 eBay cold air intake, I don’t see how K&N’s are any different, it’s in the same place and it’s a piece of tube. And of course, I put an Amazon light bar, I do use It though and it still works good. Lastly I’ll admit to being 18 right now and doing all these within the last year😂😂 but if it makes you feel better I just got headers and I’m about to have a full custom exhaust built for my truck, then a tune.
I bought 2 Light cubes on amazon for $5 a piece 2 years ago and they still work great. I didn't think they would last in Canadian weather
I just discovered the channel this is my 3rd video. The police chase you showed is one that I started when I worked for Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Just thought that was pretty cool.
The “Dip your car” dudes are really good about addressing these issues. If you do the job right, it’s peelable. Those guys are passionate about dipping, so I suggest giving their channel a look. It’s interesting to see what they can do. Dipping gets a bad rap, and it appears to be due to a lack of info.
Back when I was 17, I bought a 55 GMC farm truck. The mods I've done to it are an Accel Super Stock Ignition Coil, Custom Dual Exhaust with Thrush glasspacks that I built in my highschool shop, whitewall mud and snow tires that are staggered in size (215/75R15 front - 235/75R15 rear) and put on some baby moondisc hubcaps. Now I'm currently building a custom rear bumper and trailer hitch combination because my original rear bumper is missing.
I was 16 and put the “Tornado” on my intake to increase power🙄 I think they make it out of a polished coke can!!
We did all those plus used hockey pucks as body lifts
Yep iam guilty of the strait pipe and plasti dipped my grill and i hate it cant clean it now looks dingy white but did go the clean route led 32" single row led behind the grill but do you recommend a good brand for led light bars that aren't 300$ time for new one and what would brand would you recommend led head lights super bright
We dont dig very deep into the headlight side of things, tough call!
I got a 2014 Toyota Tacoma trd. What’s the best led headlights and fog lights out there?
You guys are ridiculous, these mods are awesome. I removed one lugnut off each tire to reduce weight and I can feel a performance improvement already. Hahahahaha! I'm only kidding great video I can honestly say I'm guilty for 2 of these and I was about to do a third till I seen this video about the light bar haha I was going to go cheap on Amazon but after what i just heard, I'm spending that extra dollar
Only 1? Come on man you only really need 2 lug nuts at most. Get that rotational weight down and feel the extra throttle response you get! If you wanna get really fancy you can Swiss cheese your tires, especially the sidewalls. Just drive fast and the rotational force will push the tires out, no need for air and no need for that extra rubber either!
Internal combustion motors do not need back pressure. Why can't we get past this? Exhaust back pressure is actually a bad thing for a motor.
facts
Bahaha love it!! I cranked the torsion bars on my ‘90 Silverado, straight piped it, it wasn’t loud enough so I drilled a bunch of huge holes at the collector.
I agree with everything you said, especially the
Cold air intake part most cars today come with pretty good air intake system that actually give cold air from outside the engine bay.
But most stock intakes are restrictive asf
Ok, i put shackles on my 1969 Plymouth barracuda fast back.
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest...i feel better.
When I was a kid (late 80's/early 90's), we drove around with open headers or no (or rotted out) mufflers because we couldn't afford to buy new or even used exhausts for the $50 cars we drove around. The kicker of this whole thing is that these $25-50 cars we beat the shit out of and eventually junked are now worth $10k and up in the conditions we had them in.
Great video, thanks for the heads up on things.
I had a 2004 Ford Ranger and I had 2 spot lights on my truck. I drove alot out in the country and worked on farms alot. They were very handy to have and I used them alot especially in the winter with those long winter nights.
I can’t believe they put Braydon price in the video. That’s pretty cool 😎
Deff had straight pipes at 18. An still do at 29 lmao
I try to put 32x12.50 r15 mt rims and tires on my 1999 silverado z71 the front rims fit perfect but bk one calipers hit bad could 2 or 3 in spacer solve my problem??
Email us at info@custmoffsets.com so we can help!
Idk about that hole exhausted thing. My buddys truck 79 Chevy Bonanza $200 headers then 3 inch straight pipe all way back sounded sooooo dam good yes loud but man that old truck with the loud exhaust was a perfect combo.
At least tag bugbmx if you’re gonna use his thumbnail as yalls own
Jacob Porter they should have
Go read the description DS
@@kylerobinson9789 nice
Fr bro that’s why I clicked on the vid
nah fuck bugsbmx his accord video was the biggest waste of time I literally hesitated clicking on this because I didnt wanna support him.
There I was, 17 years old, 99 Ford Explorer 4 door V6 275k miles
Cranked torsion keys
Cherrybomb glasspack with bad welds
12k hids in headlights and foglights
AutoZone special off-road lights mounted to stock roof rack bar
Plastidip on my rims
Two 12 inch subs in the rear and a PA behind the grill, of course it was blasting whatever was playing through my radio.
I can't cringe any harder right now 🤣 this video was completely spot on for someone who grew up in texas
Lol that hurt to read, been there too.
I'm more surprised you had a V6 Explorer last 275k without the timing chain going kaboom
I was in Corpus Christi a few months ago...
Let me tell ya, not much has changed. It's BroDozer central down there - I even saw a "Salt Life" sticker on a early 00's Kia Optima!
@@IbanezPlayer124 me too, and trust me when I say, I drove that sucker HARD! Pulling out of the high school parking lot fish tailing in a cloud of white smoke from the one wheel peel hahaha
It was all fun and games until my transmission started to fail, sold it to a guy in my driveway for 600 bucks. Still miss it though
@@grey1777 Lmfaoooo, I still have my 01 Explorer. I'm gonna miss it when it dies/gets sold
A 6 inch lift is the worst thing I ever done. My dad tried to warn me but I didn’t listen. It worked great but it ate ball joints like candy. I got sick of replacing front end parts. I drove it for 13 years and when I bought a new truck I vowed to leave it total stock. There’s a reason grandpa can drive the same truck for 30 years lol. Now I’m the old guy trying to warn the kids to leave things alone just like my dad lol. Age has a way of changing our thought process 😎
I’m watching this in 2020 and SOOOO glad he talked about plasti dip because I have been very seriously considering it on my ‘11 F150 hahaha.
That is now a hard nope lol
I would rather hear you take about the 1974 Roadrunner that you walked by in the beginning of this video.
Plasti Dip rocks I've done 2 trucks one of them was my GMC Yukon hunting truck that went thru south Texas brush like a champ. And when I sold it it peeled off in big sections and the paint looked great under it. Instead of blaming the product you need to claim responsibility for a shitty install.
awww a gmc Yukon isn't that just precious
You saw it? It was right! The deer never saw me with that pink camo pattern that blended with that south Texas brush so well! LMAO!
Raptor liner is the new dip
Honestly all hate aside its probably cause your car was in schorching hot heat 247 and it baked the outter layer to stop the dist problem
what about wheel spacers instead of offset wheels ? are they safe and will they damage your ride over time ?
I definitely cranked the torsion keys lol... late 80's chevy truck, but us Florida kids were dropping them. I lowered mine as much as I could get it to go. Like 3 months later I wondered why the insides of my front tires were going bald.
Its been proven that a 4 stroke engines (all cars today) dont need back pressure from the exhaust the valves are all shut during compression. Its better for performance to remove all the restrictions. You only need back pressure in 2 strokes motors which is literally no cars today.
Sort of accurate properly designed exhausts that maximize exhaust scavenging can make more horsepower and torque.
I got aftermarket keys and maxed them out and I got bilstein shocks and it rides real well now actually.
LOVE the video. Don't like the background music! Thanks for sharing this valuable info!
Me: looks at my truck
“Nah, this is fine”
All your plastidip problems are from user error. Properly applied product will do none of those things you’ve mentioned. I would recommend you and everyone that has a negative mindset about plastidip to go check out DipYourCar. The plastidip world has evolved so far it’s incredible and DYC makes it as simple as possible for a DIY product. When it’s applied correctly, you will achieve results you didn’t think were possible.
Yeah if you had problems with your plasti dip it's from user error. Having problems taking off is either from not enough product or not prepping correctly. Off road wise your completely right diy products definitely not meant to be. If you want a removable dip that's gonna hold up the best and be damage and chemical resistant look into autoflex is so much better of a product. Is not diy friendly and should only be installed by professionals
Plasti dipped my Grill badges and rims. Rims held good for a while but i feel they just have to many spokes, stock 04 wj limited rims. But Less spokes easier the job and it holds up a lot better. My badges and grill are still dipped 3 years later. Actually been thinking of peeling my grill and redoing it for something to do!
I hate plasty dip
damn someones triggered XD
I'm definitely the light bar guy. I had 3 light bars on the front of my old truck and I had one on the back of the bed so when someone was driving behind me with their brights on..... wow. I'm surprised I didnt get ran off the road lol.
How true how true, great advice and video. Thank you for the useful info
