This dude was born for this!!! I’ve watched tons and tons of pit maneuvers and by far this guy is second to none! His ability to stay laser focused while his life has been threatened in multiple ways multiple times is stellar!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!
They probably trained like this. Notice how he only worried about doing the pit maneuver. They trained like a football team, in which his sole responsibility was to pit maneuver the suspect. That was his sole job. He immediately got to safety after the successful pit and stopped and assessed the damage to his cruiser. This is a sign of proper training. His job was done, someone elses responsibility was to secure the suspect and make the arrest. This guy was basically the quarterback making the pass.
I’ve seen multiple chases where the police couldn’t successfully pit the suspect and this guy did it while dodging bullets making it look easy. Sheesh!!!
I know you didn't mean it, but that's actually pretty disrespectful to just say that he was born to do this as if this role was just given to him because he exists and he has a specific DNA set that created this so-called destiny to occur. You are completely disregarding the fact that he is human just like everyone else, and with that, he has ridiculously difficult survival instincts that he has to overcome to think logically in this kind of situation. Do you know how much work effort, skills, and training is necessary to go through and practice day in and day out to overcome that type of instinct? People aren't born to overcome fear. Most people don't like how many victimless crimes the police has to to manage. 9/10 run ins with police are over dumb shit like drug use, unremarkable traffic violations. My bike light was out once in the country side. I got off the road when i saw the headlights. Stopped in the berm. Had to get home, not a hinderance to anyone. Got treated like a common thief for a dumb light going out. Meanwhile when your ahit is stolen you aren't even allowed to stop them. But during covid times the cops went around destroying businesses. Ordinary people are made criminals and the only cops still worth respecting are the ones stopping theft, assault, murder
@@PhookYoo You're tired of the public asking for competent level headed police? The police are the biggest gang out there responsible for more pain and destruction than the criminals you have so much disdain for. At least we don't fund criminals with our tax money!
@@PhookYoo There was never a time in human history where humans were civilized, so I wouldn't hold my breath for that one. Until then, We need more officers like him.
Sadly, you can only train to a limited degree for that kind of calmness when in severe danger. That comes from regular combat experience where one learns to manage one's emotions. Even with combat veterans, very few remain that calm. This guy is just superbly confident and has incredible emotional discipline.
Imagine the whole thing was over a speeding ticket and the guy who was running away had only 300$ for the rest of the month to survive, feed a child too. He either had to do that or starve and be homeless. Would your opinion of this cop be the same then?
You can't train combat experience, this calmness under fire strictly means he was under fire more than a few times in the past, probably military background and saw combat. This is why combat veterans are such an invaluable asset in war, There are so few opportunities to "condition" soldiers with such experience, And when they do have it, they have a huge advantage in combat over those who dont.
@@smeagolfingers4116 I'd do that instead of going homeless, wouldn't you? Also I said "imagine" it's a theoretical example, not some factual statement. If you want a factual statement, here: Cops don't protect people, cops protect a system

@@ballstothewall38 bulletproofing isn't something you can just "add". Its very heavy. Bulletproof glass is extremely thick and heavy. Adding this to bulletproof panels would make the car impossibly heavy. You'd have to reinforce the frame, suspension, tires, etc. You'll also need a more powerful engine to get moving. All of this is very expensive. Departments simply don't have the money to outfit their cars like this. And then considering of how many policecars actually get shot, the number is still very low to make such a purchase worth it.

The officer then aborts the chase and the data is used to track the vehicle and stop it. At this point, you have zero chances of getting away and most of them stop the car knowing this. If not, within minutes the car is stopped through the information mentioned above. They know precisely where you are at almost any point. Second to himself because he even described his first attempt as ugly in the video

Sadly, you can only train to a limited degree for that kind of calmness when in severe danger. That comes from regular combat experience where one learns to manage one's emotions. Even with combat veterans, very few remain that calm. This guy is just superbly confident and has incredible emotional discipline.

Not sure how advanced American tech is but in Sweden, when they reach a certain speed, an automated message is sent, including GPS location, the camera on the police cars triggers a shot of the license plate and sends it to the closest colleagues and then pushes that data to road cameras who are following the vehicle.. The officer then aborts the chase and the data is used to track the vehicle and stop it. At this point, you have zero chances of getting away and most of them stop the car knowing this. If not, within minutes the car is stopped through the information mentioned above. They know precisely where you are at almost any point. Depending on what car you drive they will stop you using different methods. The most primitive one you surely know of when they explode your tires (don't know the English word).
