The service dog and me “just for the sake of the chase.” These guys are walking in a field that is several miles long and wide with guns pointed on them, trucks that would easily catch up, and a helicopter is probably just minutes away. They’re not going anywhere. It’s irresponsible to risk your dog’s life and these men for the sake of the chase. Especially in today’s political climate where cops are under such scrutiny. Seems like an overuse of power. I bet you’d get disciplined.

The amount of training that have to go into these k9 dogs is actually pretty amazing . Duke was committed in the first clip. And when his handler told him to come back and sit it was immediatemuch respect to these officers and their partners
GSDs are extremely good working line dogs that actually prefer to be working - when not working they are pretty full on.
What are you talking about? I think the training was sub par for k-9, the officer had to contain the dog the whole time during the arrest. Also, it could be argued in court that the suspects couldn't hear the commands due to the constant barking overpowering the officers voices. Literally dogs are pointless for police. They just die and waste tax dollars.
@@lucasrobison99 agreed he had to contain the dog the entire time but it was mostly done with voice commands . And the K9 dogs are trained to take a suspect down. Argued in court or not if they were running from the troopers and they could hear them yelling im pretty sure about that and they should know what a K9 dog is so when they heard the commotion from troopers and dog and still didn't want to stop right away I say let the dog go. Let him have a little taste of criminal essence and I can guarantee you they won't run quite as quick they next time . As for being a waste of money I disagree as the K9 dogs have apprehended and helped apprehend a lot of runners so no I think it's a good thing to have a dog or 4 on shift.

I just wanted to comment on that.. You're driving huge amounts of drugs cross country and you get pulled over for tail gating somebody or driving to close to the line or crossing it.. I mean, WTF? Where do they get these bozos?? In America you have a beautiful thing called Constitution which prevents the cops from stopping your vehicle if you haven't made any violation. Drug dealers should use that thing Jefferson, Hancock and the rest of the gang wrote more than 200 years ago. One more advice.. When your're hauling 500 000$ worth of dope, use back up. Two cars should accompany you. One driving in front of you, the other behind you and they should do something stupid to pull the attention from the car that actually has dope in it.. It's common sense and these guys do this for a living and still can't get a cool dude who can drive 1000 miles without making a traffic violation..?? Pathetic.

That's not really how it works. It's big business and the top brass are of course aware that a certain percentage of transports will be picked up by the police. It's all part of the business plan.

I had a beautiful German Shepard named Duke that died about a year ago. Great Dog. Love seeing these police dogs in action. My first real pet was a retired police German Shepard named Trooper. Best dog I ever had.

Pilot Bravo these little amounts aren’t anything.. box trucks and semis full of marijuana or other drugs can go by when these guys sit and be the dummies, for instance. It’s also important you check brake lights, registration, etc. if there is no reason to pull you over, then you’re good to go, period.

@@tecwzrd to piggy back off @Daytrap in NC it's also a "failure to maintain lane" and a "failure to signal" NC drivers are terrible about signaling, lane changes and whatnot. NC Hwy Patrol has been cracking down on that hard for the past 5 years and that in turn has resulted in a spike in drug charges much like her case.

They can shoot the dog if they want...they will get caught in that situation...and now they have an extra offence to deal with in court

If someone isn’t familiar with a highly manipulative covert or even overt but especially covert they can be confused for a long time and even think something is wrong with themselves before figuring out what’s going on. There should be no reason I couldn’t look in my partners phone or vise versa, but I don’t want to be in a relationship where I feel like I have to be a super detective because that person is an untrustworthy manipulator. I’ve been there and it took me a long time to sort through all the lies and figure out they won’t change, at least not for me. In fact the people that lie and try to manipulate a partner that thinks they’re in a monogamous relationship are highly controlling, among other things, and often times, if out of desperation the subject of an open relationship is broached with these people they’ll be opposed to it and say they’ll be committed, while they actually continue to cheat, but just don’t want their partner to be with anyone else
