Don Julio: A Meat Lover's Paradise in the Heart of Buenos Aires-Eat. Stay. Love
My beautiful country, Argentina 😍 love and hugs xoxo
I was there in 2013, it’s well worth another visit. The food especially the beef, the good Malbec’s real good wine, go to the Derby, River Plate vs Boca Juniors, go to Iguassu watch all the beautiful falls, that’s in Misioness, go to the Tango shows in Buenos Aires, and finish in Mendoza, visit some of the fine Vineyards.
You missed Patagonia and Salta. If you got tickets to the Super Classico, that’s no small feat
What a beautiful country❤
I need to get myself to Argentina asap
Looks like heaven!!!
I have to say as an Argentinian we do not eat meat well done; it depends on the kind of meat and cut. We eat everything you could imagine really
Beautiful!
"the only part the Argentine doesn't eat is the moo" . took me a few seconds too realise its funny.
it's taking me so long. I don't understand lol
What is the name of the restaurant and what is the address in Argentina ?
It drove me CRAZY that they cooked that amazing meat well done. lol. Still delicious.
The average argentinian is better griller than the average american so yeah, take note
You know I thought the same until I tried the beef there. It is unparalleled compared to anything I’ve ever had in a steakhouse here in the states.
@Minoritynomad
I'm shocked, they tell they are king of the beef and they are destroying it WTF ?! The only real beef for me is rare but also medium rare is ok :)
@@cptVLK, She’s completely wrong. Argentines typically eat steak medium rare (jugoso)
I've been to two great steakhouses in Buenos Aires and I ordered my steak without saying how I wanted it done (I wasn't asked) and both came back perfectly med rare. Both were amazing steaks.
Yeah, this so-called food blogger has no clue what she’s talking about
@@LeMagnifiqueDoubleAgent-cj4zo Doesn't seem like it. I have pics of my rare steaks there.
@@Nation4, I have a standing lunch reservation at Don Julio for the Fridays that I’m in Buenos Aires. I have eaten there dozens of times and have never had an overcooked steak.
Steak??? What about Vacío and Lomo.???
I love her!
She got half the story wrong though
yeah
Wowza 🔥 🔥 🔥
Ok I’m sold I wanna go
Yeah most Argentine steaks are well done unless you ask them to cook it medium rare. I'm fine either way as both ways are delicious.
Don't go here. Most food reviews by Gringos are done with good intentions but since they have no context for what is 'good,' they tend to follow the crowd and reference what other networks have previously reviewed, creating an unjustified self reinforcement. Don Julio isn't anything special unless you like high prices. My experience was horribly rude service, dirty tables, and meat cooked so far beyond what I ordered that it was nearly inedible. Since I know B.A. quite well I can say with 100% confidence that any neighborhood place can exceed Don Julio in every way at a fraction of the price, unless you like paying for status and hype. This is not where 'normal Argentines' eat. On the contrary, you will be surrounded by Gringos thinking they are having an authentic experience while they take your money and feed you substandard dishes. Go elsewhere.
That s true as an argentinian is 1 time experience... i will go to ituzaingo to don coco .. were i ask costillar al asador!!! Another unique experiece with quantity + quality + price!!!
Can you suggest somewhere better please?
@@jackchadwick9824 la dorita on Humboldt in Palermo Hollywood.
I love how this woman acts like she knows Pablo and the story of Don Julio, then proceeds to get half of the story wrong. The vast majority of people are eating their steaks medium rare, but hey, at least she got a decent bottle of wine
looks good! i wish america had better food :/
Who is the food blogger?
Menu makan saya
Nasi goreng ayam
Ati ayam goreng tepung

Full of wrong statements. Portobello's,mollejas, Palermo as the best place to find meat, no.
where is?
ESTAMOS MUY DE RUTA LOS ARGENTINOS, CORTA
aaaa me dió hambre de asadoo AJAJ
i will agree that palermo is definitely the place to stay in ba.....
Hope i would go to argentina
The only part of cow Argentine doesn't eat is balls 😂😂😂
Meat lover’s paradise
Honestly, felt it was very overrated considering the price and wait.
I felt the same way. Good but not great.
In Argentina we eat well done meat, we are not used to rare o medium rare
@@martinbreitman7016 It depends on each one. Argentines who know about real meat eat juicy meat, and it's nothing new for us. Speak for yourself
.
Lucas David thanks! medium rare for me and don't forget the fritas.
Well guys a place that is a jewel is don coco in ituzaingo ovbiously is non turist place and if i have a friend fron other country i will invite to eat there!!
They had me up to "well done". No thanks.
Well, Argentina is not for you, then.
You can eat juicy meat in Argentina, in fact, in Don Julio it is as well as they serve you by default. If an Argentine tells you that you eat it last, you ignore it and that's it, what else?
Pay attention, they said they'd make it well done as standard unless you order it otherwise, with a better look on the video none of the served ones there was "well done " and finnaly they have cuts like ojo de bife and bife de chorizo which comes medium unless told otherwise.
what... so steaks from parillas are only ever served well done?/
No, but you almost need to fight the waiter to get it medium rare... That´s usually the reason why I don´t eat at parrillas... I cook my own asado... extremely bloody
@@franciscodec EXACTLY. This blew my mind when I first went to Buenos Aires.
Only in asador is worth it to have well cooked!! But because is cooked like 3 or 4 hours before to low fire it becomes very juicy even well cooked!!! Try costillar al asador or vacio al asador... you will find the well cooked very tender + juicy!! The juciness is like a rare wagyu A5
No, it said it will come as well done unless ordered otherwise. But I was pleasantly surprised about the texture and taste their well done meet feels, must be the cooking methods
Messi went here
The new prices are too high, not worth
Is this true? Do Argentinians cook their world-class steaks WEEL DONE? WTF?!
Yes, it is true. We like our mear well done
I'd rather choke myself on my shoes before eating anything remotely red. In Argentina we eat our meat well done, we cook it properly.
@@FuyuNoAi Recently discussing this with an Argentinian colleague now living here in Mexico, he said this well-done trend there may have started back when, due to some poor (beef) "sanitation" practices it was the healthy thing to do. Wow.
Sounds like a joke but most of the argies like to eat meat between med well and well done. It's a fact.
You look cute
Kosher meat 😂😂😂
Welldone what?
Very high iq presenter
Argentinians think they are fancy because they drink wine and steaks 😂 but they eat their steaks well done! Bueno muy bueno! 😂
its parilla....and they say par-ish-a instead of par-iy-ya...please explain!
It's regional. Remember, Spanish is spoken in MANY parts of the world in many different cultures! There's no such thing as standard Spanish, each country is bound to have it's own meanings for some words, different pronunciations, etc. That is just an example that is common in Buenos Aires/Argentina
Oreyos dude....shut the fuck up!
strattus99 they pronounce the "ll" as an "sh" sound. Any word with a "ll" they say with a "sh" sound.
pollo? that's right....sit down nigga!
strattus99 ?
sorry but i only eat rare
Sultan Almulla it’s ok nobody is perfect.
In barbecue yes... rare is great.... in asador well cooked is heaven!!!
Lost me at well done
That's how everyone eats meat in Argentina.
