I visited Buenos Aires several years ago and my host actually invited us to a famous restaurant called, Siga La Vaca. Translation of that is: Follow the Cow. Wow! Did we eat meat!! Super delicious stuff in that joint.
@@higgsboson9509 If you love the city go to Buenos Aires, if you want to relax and explore the countryside go to Córdoba or Salta! My Argentina has so much beauty everywhere...
And empanadas and everything and anything with dulce de leche. One of the best if not THE best place to eat in the world, and this from someone from a country that Argentinians scoff at.
The meat in Argentina is the best....asado or barbecue....not hot dogs or humburgers....but you can eat vegetables, Italian food, Spanish food paella, Argentines empanadas
The Buenos Aires episode, at first, was lighthearted and whimsically enjoyable. Now it is only depressing. People's thoughts and words, when spoken succinctly, should be taken strictly as literal, expressed feelings
The two of them were probably like two ships passing in the night in Buenos Aires: Tony thinking about dining with his female therapist; and Anderson thinking about Argentine men dancing the tango. Each to his own!
Some pair.....I have respect for Cooper as he told Trump to his face to quit acting like a five year old child who doesn't get his way. My late pop might have liked Bourdain as he liked being a chef at home and his way with great meals.

I saw that episode and as an Argentine it wasn't my Buenos Aires he was mostly in la boca a horrible festering slum with the worst football fans next to a huge open sewer called the riachuelo.
Man I loved his show no reservations. But I'm probably going to get a lot of nasty responses to this but I have a hard time feeling bad for him when I've been homeless for 13 of the last 20 years. I just can't imagine that his life could be worse than mine. But I found an antidepressant that saved my life and works great for me.
As someone dealing with depression and anxiety, tooking meds for it, and can have a roof , a warm bath, and some little extra at the end of the month for little things I can relate at some point with your point because having your life economically solved for generations to come solved most of every single people´s problems. But hell can come in different ways and faces, maybe he slept in a cold bed feeling tottaly alone and uncomprehend. You can´t think straight at some points, it´s your brain having hormonal unbalancing. Thank god that today we can have more pharmaceutical options that can make our lifes a little better. When is depression the contender you never know the internal hell he might be living. That´s why there are multiple antidepressants, each one attacks different hormonal disbalances. And if that doesn´t relief most of it that gives you the chance to fight that demon in therapy. It´s a long way but it´s worth it, sadly no one tolds you this when you are young. The information campaigns about this are gettin better but it´s still a long way to be enough. Keep the fight man, it´s worthy and you are worthy

Se ve muy crudo. Se que quizás lo pidieron de esa forma o lo sirven de esa forma. Pero no podes llamar asado argentino a eso, esta muy crudo. Entraría a otra categoría.
There are things about him that I admire, but there are things about him that are deeply flawed. He was an ignorant human being, and unfortunately failed to expand his horizons. He also embodied interesting personality paradoxes: he was "humble," but also deeply self-centered and vain.
Omar Gonzalez my guess is that he felt overrun with guilt and felt over-rewarded. Based on the things he said in the Buenos Aires episode, it sounded like he constantly met people in his travels who struggled and had hard lives but were ultimately proud of who they were. Meanwhile AB saw himself as someone who travelled around “shoving food in his mouth” and constantly receiving adoration for it. It seemed like he felt undeserving of that, lonely and alienated from it, found no meaning it, and after awhile when it wouldn’t stop he couldn’t take it anymore. Plus he was an alcoholic so that kind of enhances the depression.
@@pauliethemushroomman Interesting theory, but I know many people who travel the world and teach, and they are some of the most solid human beings. There is something said for not having a home base, but if you read his first book, it's right in there. It was the drugs and the depression.... before he started any of this. Bourdain's brain was wired differently, like a shooting star. But like a shooting star, it can get burnt up. Also, being involved with Asia Argento clearly didn't help the matter.
+Dane Reid He does do travel the right way as far as the food is concerned, but he is like a old rock band, all of his best stuff was in the early years, he is just too disco now to be "cool", but there is not much on TV that is good these days, so, it still suffices as something to watch, especially coming from CNN which is largely pure vomit.
It's just a matter of taste. I can perfectly eat meat that is only cooked on the outside and COMPLETELY raw on the inside and it's completely fine for me.
there is no blood left in meat by the time it is bled, butchered, hung, matured and sold. There are parts of what make up blood left behind, but it is a muscle. There are enzymes and amino acids left with red color left because they are what give the muscle the color but you don't eat blood. It would get pretty interesting cooking meat if you had blood pouring out of the protein

indeed
I miss you Anthony Bourdain.. May your Soul rest in peace.
Very true. I don't think I have had so much meat in one seating in Argentina. Regardless, Bourdain is very much missed and always will be...

Danny Bowien cooking in the background. Awesome!

"Nurses shoes and Billy Joel"....lol
Was he flirting with Anderson? - "meat, meat, meat, meat, meat", got him all giggly.
Pragya Mishra what episode was it??
He did tell him about Meat Porn.
RIP amigo!!!!
Just realized that was Danny Bowein cutting the meat and that this was probably Mission Chinese in NYC.
Bourdain used to shoot horse and live under bridges. I guaranteed he's tangoed for a score at one point.

all this meat got anderson mucho happy
When he started talking about the shrink, this got sour for me, sorry
