I'm Trans female. Used to go swimming at a gym. Was too afraid to use womens' locker room; feared I would upset people, get attacked. Used mens' locker room, oggled and harassed. Left and haven't returned to a gym since.

To be fair does Planet Fitness count as a real gym? I pay 4 times as much to go to a locally owned one to avoid that micromanaging hellhole lol. But you have a point.
