I am recently married and my wife in India and I am not sure should I apply for visitor visa first and get it and then initiate spousal sponsorship for her? Or should I apply for spousal sponsorship first and then visitor visa Or should I apply both type of visa together and which so ever comes first, travel based on that.

    Hi @Canada Desi:
    I have travelled alone to Canada in November, and the stamped visa on my passport is valid until 15th April, 2022. When I landed in Canada, I got my work permit which is valid till November 16, 2023.
    My wife is in India and has an SOWP as my dependent and she also has her visa stamped till 15th April, 2022. Now, my wife is planning to travel to visit me for a vacation May, 2022 for one month. Can you please guide me what process to follow to get her visa stamped for the validity of my work permit so that she can travel in May.
    Or should I apply for Visitor Visa as mentioned in this video, so that she can travel and visit me in May, 2022?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Brother @CanadianDesi , I just filed my wife's spouse visa few days back with the help of a representative. I am willing to file the visitor visa as well by myself but the agent said you should only file the visitor visa once the spouse visa is accepted by IRCC and they give you the application number.
    When they say application number, are they talking about UCI or some other number? also, i watched your whole video there wasn't a section where it asked about the existing spouse application or PR application accept the UCI number thing.
    Can you guide me on this please what to do?

    • @yourCanadianDesi
      @yourCanadianDesi  2 года назад

      There's a UCI number as well as the file number. If the applicant never applied to come to Canada before they get assigned a new UCI. And file no. is specifically for each application submitted.

    I'm a Canadian by birth, my husband is who I'm sponsoring alone no dependents or family members. He lost his job during covid 2020, we applied in March 2021 for spousal sponsorship and are only at AOR2, from Morocco. I was wondering if you think I'd have a high chance of accepted visit visa. He's financially dependent on me and I have enough funds to take responsibility for him, but he doesn't have funds in his Moroccan account. Should I transfer them into his account to show he will have funds in case? I just hate that I am away from him for so long, I feel stuck and disheartened 💔

    • @yourCanadianDesi
      @yourCanadianDesi  2 года назад

      Showing strong ties of the applicant to their home country is very crucial that determines if they will be approved for a VV or not. Showing your funds might be a bit tricky. I'll suggest you to consult with a regulated immigration professional to explore this option as well other options that might work.

    1- what’s the period of visitor visa (family unification) -10 years or shorter ?
    2- if the spouse applicant’s Indian employer grants her 3 months’ leave to visit Canada, would that be a negative factor (ties with home country)?

      That will need a proper consultation with an immigration lawyer to really figure out if you are eligible for a visa or can enter Canada without one.

    I am a Canadian Citizen, and applied in 2022 Jan. I am at the Medical stage, biometrics have been provided.
    I went to Canada again after many many years ( i was a minor when we had left ) I travelled back to my home country after applying as I just couldn't live without my husband and I am still here in my home country.
    Am I risking a refusal? Should I go back or is probably too late now?

    Hello! while applyig for immediate family of temporary resident, there is an additional field which is required which is " * Are you also requesting a written authorization?" with a yes/no! In the notes they have mentioned

    To unite with an immediate family member who is in Canada temporarily, you must also request written authorization from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) if you:
    are travelling to Canada from a country other than the United States and
    do not qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption
    " * Are you also requesting a written authorization?" with a yes/no!
    Please can you provide details on this? I am fully vaccinated and from India

      An immediate family member does not need a written authorisation to unite with their family member in Canada. An extended member however will need.

    Now it is showing Eligibility Check in progress from Feb 16. After that no updates yet.
    I am planning to apply for a visitor visa. Once I am in Canada as a visitor. If my PPR request for spousal sponsorship arrives , do I need to exit from Canada and come back to India to Submit my Passport or is it possible to submit Passport from Canada.

    How can we sign the Use of representative IMM5476 form as the applicant is out of country. How were you able to sign it if your spouse was not in Canada. Do we have a digital signature option.

    • @yourCanadianDesi
      @yourCanadianDesi  2 года назад

      IMM 5476 is for sponsors who are using the help of a regulated immigration representative. You do not need to include the Use of a Representative form (IMM 5476) with your application, if you are not using one. For other forms, the sponsor can fill up the form, print, sign, scan, and send it to the applicant. The applicant can then print the form, sign, rescan and send it back to the sponsor.

Her spousal sponsorship will take some time to apply as we haven't got PCC yet and the appointment is still a month away. You can very well go with a visitor visa and then apply under the Inland Sponsorship once she is here.
