I have a few questions for you it would be nice if you could reply as per your convinence :) 1) When we receive a medical/biometric request does he have to fly back to India to do that? 2) Does he have to give biometrics again he already did that in the visitor's visa step? 3) I have not submitted the original PCC when I sent the paper application file is there any way I can fix it?
Medical and biometric can be done in any country. He doesn't need to do biometric again since it is valid for 10 Yr. Still he can go and do another biometric at service canada . It won't cost him anything. You can raise a webform and attach the pcc.
What does IRCC and PR stand for? It would be great if you listed your videos from the beginning of the application and also where to find a spousal application.

You may probably receive a new request for Biometrics or medicals whichever got expired before they can go ahead with the application. I would suggest you to call them to get a clear picture.

I have to say I have watched a couple videos on RUclips and this by far has been the most descriptive one explaining every little thing in the process. I became the permanent resident of Canada last year and I’m not sure if you would know the answer to this or not but I’m planning on going back home to get married and then come back and put in the work for my spouses sponsorship. I have two questions: One. I came here as a refugee, I got my permanent residency and passport from my homeland, can I go back home to get married? Too. Do they need to prove that you and your partner have spent most of the time together and the time apart has been a little? I am unsure because I cannot spend too much time away from Canada because of work. maybe go to Pakistan or a third country for marriage for like 15 days or so. Of course I would have all my legal marriage certificate and everything but this part is just unclear to me. Thank you so much if you read this and respond.

For instance the application was received by the IRCC office on May 3rd ,2022 according to the tracking number, thus I was just wondering how long does it take to get the receipt response since it's been two months now? You can parcel your documents and have it signed by your spouse or a copy of signatures also work but I suggest you to double check that with an immigration lawyer

I have a question, I got married right before my passport submission. and the agency I worked with also sent out all of my wedding details. however, IRCC didn't update my marital status (I believe it all came to a standstill due to covid) since I received my Co PR before I was married, it shows marital status- Single. I have not been able to reach Customer support for IRCC, now I am in Canada working, and am planning to apply sponsorship. do you have any idea on what I would have to submit except the marriage documents? and do I have to use my existing account(created by the agency when applying for PR) or should I be able to create a new account? or is an account creation not needed at all? should I just use the link and put in the application number I get sent from IRCC after applying? too many questions I know, sorry, I am kinda super worried at this point.
If you're using a representative, the application tracker should be enough for updates. And if possible, get your passport's marital status updated before applying or if you can't show them the reason why you couldn't
Hello, after scanning fingers and taking photos at the visa processing center, my wife was asked to go home and wait for a message for her to mail her international passport over. How long does this usually take because it’s been 3 weeks and we are yet to hear from them.
I believe she must have went to give her biometrics. It usually takes a bit from there on. She will receive a pre-arrival before receiving the passport request. Hope it helps

I think there’s bit of confusion on PCC . On first video I think you mentioned PCC is required where you stayed for more than a month and in this video I hear 6 months.

What am confused also is that, we have been done with our biometric and medical exam a month ago, and your video is saying that medical would nearly the later stage.. My husband says we have undergo completeness check before proceeding anything else.. pls advise. Thanks
Usually the CIC asks for such additional proof to be able to give their final decision on an app. It doesn't necessarily mean a red flag. It might mean its almost at the stage of approval. Good luck.
In Application form, there is an option to select YES/NO - IF SPOUSS/KID are coming with you. Why not select that as YES and finish the whole thing together in one single shot ?

In most cases, they will first convey you the date and time of the interview beforehand. It could be both Face to face and online depending on Inland vs Outland application.

Most of the times it means it's almost at the approval stage. Pre-arrival services are some online services provided by the Govt. that the applicant can avail before they land in Canada.
I'll rephrase it for you, you should be receiving it anytime when the next batch of PPR's are rolled out by the CIC office. The CIC generally sends them out all at once to all the approved applications. Hope this helps
My second doubt is if in case medical expires for spouse open work permit when he is in Canada on visitor visa, so can we do re medicals within Canada or he needs to go back to home country to do the same, and lastly, if he is in visit visa can he withdraw the existing spouse visa application reapply inland work permit. Please answer, it would be really helpful.
The CIC usually asks you to re-provide the medicals if they need so. But if you feel like giving it again, you can go ahead no problem. And yes you can withdraw your existing application and reapply if you like in which case you might have to go for your Medicals again anyways. But the Biometrics will still be valid.

If it's been more than 3 months since your last update and you haven't received any other update after that on your application then I'll suggest you to contact cic.

Hi Bro, Any information about the time taken for passport request after biometrics and medicals are done in 2021 .Sponsor approval and AIP are all done and mail received for the same.
If there's no immigration representative involved, then you both must be receiving updates. I'll suggest checking the online tool and your spam email to look for any such email. Or follow up with your representative if you appointed any.

In most cases you do. Generally it's an indication that PPR is on the way. Pre-arrival is a letter mentioning the services that an immigrant can avail in Canada.
Thank you for this informative video. In theory, IRCC is supposed to follow these steps. In my experience, they process application in haphazard manner following no procedure or rules. I have seen incomplete applications processed fully in 6 months but I am still waiting for biometric or medical. Highly unprofessional.

I will suggest your husband to call CIC and ask for an update. Is he able to see the decision made on your file? If your app has been finalized, then you should probably receive the passport request soon.

I will not be able to guarantee or comment anything at this point. That does not necessarily mean your file is not approved. I will suggest you to keep following up with CIC and send them webforms for an update.

Very less chance. You can double check, probably check 3 times to make sure nothing is missing. As long as everything is submitted, it won't be returned.

I have a question, I got married right before my passport submission. and the agency I worked with also sent out all of my wedding details. however, IRCC didn't update my marital status (I believe it all came to a standstill due to covid) since I received my Co PR before I was married, it shows marital status- Single. I have not been able to reach Customer support for IRCC, now I am in Canada working, and am planning to apply sponsorship. do you have any idea on what I would have to submit except the marriage documents? and do I have to use my existing account(created by the agency when applying for PR) or should I be able to create a new account? or is an account creation not needed at all? should I just use the link and put in the application number I get sent from IRCC after applying?

If you're using a representative, the application tracker should be enough for updates. And if possible, get your passport's marital status updated before applying or if you can't show them the reason why you couldn't
Hello, after scanning fingers and taking photos at the visa processing center, my wife was asked to go home and wait for a message for her to mail her international passport over. How long does this usually take because it’s been 3 weeks and we are yet to hear from them.
I believe she must have went to give her biometrics. It usually takes a bit from there on. She will receive a pre-arrival before receiving the passport request. Hope it helps

I think there’s bit of confusion on PCC . On first video I think you mentioned PCC is required where you stayed for more than a month and in this video I hear 6 months.

What am confused also is that, we have been done with our biometric and medical exam a month ago, and your video is saying that medical would nearly the later stage.. Usually the CIC asks for such additional proof to be able to give their final decision on an app. It doesn't necessarily mean a red flag. It might mean its almost at the stage of approval. Good luck.

In Application form, there is an option to select YES/NO - IF SPOUSS/KID are coming with you.
Why not select that as YES and finish the whole thing together in one single shot ?
If you select yes, that would be an altogether separate application for your Spouse/Kid

In most cases, they will first convey you the date and time of the interview beforehand. It could be both Face to face and online depending on Inland vs Outland application.

It mainly depends upon the workload of the processing office. They usually send it out in a single batch to all the approved applications.

What does it mean when you receive pre arrival services?
Most of the times it means it's almost at the approval stage. Pre-arrival services are some online services provided by the Govt. that the applicant can avail before they land in Canada.

I'll rephrase it for you, you should be receiving it anytime when the next batch of PPR's are rolled out by the CIC office. The CIC generally sends them out all at once to all the approved applications. Hope this helps
My second doubt is if in case medical expires for spouse open work permit when he is in Canada on visitor visa, so can we do re medicals within Canada or he needs to go back to home country to do the same, and lastly, if he is in visit visa can he withdraw the existing spouse visa application reapply inland work permit. Please answer, it would be really helpful.
The CIC usually asks you to re-provide the medicals if they need so. But if you feel like giving it again, you can go ahead no problem.
And yes you can withdraw your existing application and reapply if you like in which case you might have to go for your Medicals again anyways. But the Biometrics will still be valid.

Try calling CIC and ask them for an update. Or you can also order GCMS notes for a detailed explanation on the whereabouts of your file.

Hi Bro, Any information about the time taken for passport request after biometrics and medicals are done in 2021 .Sponsor approval and AIP are all done and mail received for the same.
It depends when they will be sending out the whole batch of PPR's to everyone. Did you receive pre-arrival?

If there's no immigration representative involved, then you both must be receiving updates. I'll suggest checking the online tool and your spam email to look for any such email. Or follow up with your representative if you appointed any.
Thanks bro for the response, there is no representative in our case. the biometrics was done on july 9 2021 and the medicals also done 2 weeks prior to it.

In most cases you do. Generally it's an indication that PPR is on the way. Pre-arrival is a letter mentioning the services that an immigrant can avail in Canada.

Thank you for this informative video. In theory, IRCC is supposed to follow these steps. In my experience, they process application in haphazard manner following no procedure or rules. I have seen incomplete applications processed fully in 6 months but I am still waiting for biometric or medical. Highly unprofessional.

I will suggest your husband to call CIC and ask for an update. Is he able to see the decision made on your file? If your app has been finalized, then you should probably receive the passport request soon.

Hi sir . I applied for PR along with my husband on 9th august . I got my PR yesterday but my husband did not get the copr. I called in IRCC today they said that they will be sending him PPR (passport request) because he is outside Canada . Do you have any idea how long it will take to receive passport request .because in my COPR. Under depandant information it says spouse : accompanying that means he should get it together.
If the IRCC said that he will be receiving it then it's just a matter of time. He should receive it soon. Good luck.

Very less chance. You can double check, probably check 3 times to make sure nothing is missing. As long as everything is submitted, it won't be returned.
