This is very extensive. Your time of courtship to wedding with your wife is long and you were able to provide a nice timeline. What about people who went back home and had their relatives introduce them to their spousal and both liked each other and were married in a short span of time?
Even relationships with much shorter or no courtship period at all are cases that immigration officers come across very often, so all that we need to focus on how the story of relationship is built and shared around the available (and required) proofs. If relatives introduced you guys then maybe they can write you a relationship testimonial, the same relative can be pointed out in your wedding photos, and you can provide their ID proof to close the identification loop. Message and mail exchange between you guys will also be there even if the time horizon of communication is small -SOMETHING is more than nothing. I mean, all you need to do is just look into what all you can find and collect as proof, rather than focusing on what you do not have.
Thank you for your feedback. Feel free to let us know what specific information you are looking for. We have plans for lot of topics that we would want to cover around this but based on your feedback we might come up with certain topics first.
1- I am not sure about photos. I am gonna write context in each photos with hand. How should i upload it? Do i have to scan front and back side ? 2- will screenshot of whatsaap calls record will work? 3-We use to chat in our native language and in English so do i have to translate everything ?
1. I believe you are referring to the new system of submitting an online application. I haven't tried it myself but it will be safe to put 1 picture in 1 Word page (.docx) and typing below the picture the requested details (name of applicant, DoB, context of pic) 2. Yes they too would work but it has a limitation on the number of calls it can show, so you might not be able to go too much in past. But if it works for you then go ahead. 3. This was with us as well but to avoid going with translation we skimmed through our chats and tried to find only english conversation. If there are just few words in native lang then it is fine (we too had that) but mostly it should be comprehensible. If not, then its safe to go for translation.
Hey bro, my med is done but visa officer asked to provide pics of wedding which we have just few pics, bcz we didn't do any event, now I'm sending them with explanation letter n want to send testimonial letters too.....can you guide for testimonial letters ?
Hi im so confused now we have so used 3 socmed whats app ,ig fb and 2019 until 2023 -im overwhelmed with all the conversation -how can i simplyfy and organized it ?its a lot -can i just screenshot those where we talk about our plans ,buying house ,ivf surrogacy plans or when i open up about my problems in work or my health issues?
In my outland case: I made a made a single pdf of each ceremony, and have on very top name of PA and Sponsor and DOB and name of the ceremonies in that pdf. then above each photo I wrote date of ceremony, address where it took place, and ceremony name. and a separate document with descripton of the ceremonies. But I didnt number the ceremony photoes in the pdf and in the description. Is it ok ? Some one in a video talked about typing on the photo the description .. . please advice.
Thanks for reaching out. There is no specific mention about this in any of the instruction guide but the most logical way to go about it would be to upload them under 'Photo(s)' category. There is anyways no limit to how many photos you can upload in the portal so it would not harm if you upload each photo one by one, or compile them in a single .docx or .pdf file and upload. Of course, in whichever way you choose you will need to write name of PA, their DoB, and context of the photo. Hope this helps.
You need 'certified for translation' if the content of proof is not in English or French. There are a lot of such services which you should be able to find by looking up in YellowPages or local business numbers. We did not avail any such service so do not have any leads.
Hi buddy, Hope you are doing well. Thanks for the lovely videos you are creating. My wife and I met on a matrimonial website(we liked each other's profile so no parents involved). Chatted for 3 months. Then I went to my native country. Got engaged and legally married during my 3 month trip . I had a query related to IMM 5532e Part C. 1) Will this be called arranged marriage as per this question: Was your marriage arranged?. 2) If you are not living together, have you visited each other during your relationship. We met each other multiple times but only during the same visit that I was there for 3 months and not before. Was curious to know what to answer there. Thanks again for the help!
Here's my response to your 2 questions: 1. Yours will be considered a love marriage as it was not arranged by elders or a mutual relative. 2. If you have any proof that you have met each other during the visit then that is something you may want to provide. Merely saying that you flew to your native country may not be sufficient. It still should be provided, of course but something that can say that you MET during that visit is more stronger proof. Like, say you guys went for a vacation and stayed at a hotel. You can show the hotel reservation with both of your names on it. In nutshell, try to find something that shows you both have met each other. Maybe a chat conversation (conversation screenshot) about your 'plan' to see each other can be attached as a proof.
@@OleCanada yes i do have a lot of pictures taken before the engagement when met couple of times, during the engagement and the marriage and even after that! thnx a ton!
If we have any receipts that show the expenses of the wedding, like catering bill, photographer bill, clothes bill. Is that a plus point? And in what form of the application should we add these? Thank you
hey Bilal! Those receipts will be perfect and will really help the application. You can list down these items in IMM5532-PartC-Que.11. In fact all supporting docs and proof you want to share that are not listed in the Document Checklist can be listed down in this section.
Hi. Thank you for this video instructions. But may I ask where will I need to upload these proof of contact in portal? Like what options do I need to choose then upload? Is it under “TRANSLATION/ AFFIDAVIT? Or what?
Hey, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I would recommend use 'Other' from the list of values instead of using Translation/affidavit. All relationship support docs can go in as 'Other'.
I was thinking of attaching our wedding invitation card's photo, bills and screenshots of what my photographer and makeup artist posted on their social media. So should I make a separate PDF for it or upload it randomly?
Goodness.. sorry for catching your comment so late. In case you have the question still unanswered, these additional proofs needs to be linked to the section C, Que 11 of IMM5532. So, you can either have it in single pdf, or have it separate, but label it as 'Additional Documents-IMM5532_Section C_Q11' Hope this helps.
Hello, what if on the application that we've submitted I still used my maiden name and I'm still single in my passport, does it have a tendency to be rejected?
There is no mention of a recommended size in the instruction guide so we went ahead with the standard available dimensions which should be good to include in the package. We submitted 4"x6" sized photos. It is also important to ensure all the photographs are held together in the package so we placed all 20 in an envelope, and placed it in the sequence as per the Checklist. Hope this answered your question. Sorry for the delayed response, and we are glad you found the video helpful. :)
In important documents section: Which insurance policy and medical insurance did you provide?( Canadian or Indian?) What documents can I provide? Marriage certificate? ( I have already used this document in other section) Adhaar card? Passport?( I have used this document in other section, Can I use it again? Also mention any other documents that can be used. Thank you
My responses are against each question: > Which insurance policy and medical insurance did you provide? - I provided Indian, but it does not really matter. Any country issued doc would do. > What documents can I provide? - All docs that you mentioned can be provided but the more different type of docs the better. I will be coming out soon with a updated version of this video and share what all possible documents can be used besides the one I shared. And, sorry for the delay in responding to your comment. :)
I am not sure about that. Assuming you are applying for visitor visa you can try creating a link with the parents name of your mother and your maasi from their passports.
It should be enabled if you have provided Declaration, Fees receipt, and the mandatory docs. If it is still not enabled you can remove these doc and upload it back.
Hi bro, if I need my wife to sign the form in outland sponsorship, can she take color print, sign it, send it to me, i take color print and sign instead of sending by post the 3 forms where my wife's signatures are needed. What do you suggest
hey so sorry for taking time to get back to you. As per the instructions in the guide, it is not necessary to submit 'ORIGINAL' version of the hand-drawn signature, it can just be digital version. So, your wife can print the form, sign, and scan and send it to you over email. And you can print the form, sign and submit in the application. This is acceptable irrespective of the mode (online or paper) you are applying.
I don't have joint account with my wife is it effect on my profile but i have adhar card driving licence nd marriage certificate nd also her name on my passport
Definitely NOT! It's quite ok for every application to have different type of proofs. Aadhar card can be a good proof and it can be used under 2 different sections: 1. Document showing you are recognized as each other's spouse, and 2. Proof of co-habitation. It can be a valid proof of co-habitation only if the Sponsor's and PA's address on Aadhar card is the same. Driving License can be a valid proof only if it is of PA's, and the address is same as the Sponsors. Coming to the last, Marriage Certificate HAS TO BE PROVIDED, and that is non-negotiable. Hope this helps!
In our case the entire process was completed in 9 months. Right from submitting the application to flying to Canada. :) Thank you for stopping by and sharing your comment.
Proof of relationship documents requirement is going to be same irrespective of the mode of application: paper-based or via online portal. The checklist and items I have walked through in this video is for both.
That is one of the question to which there's no answer :) We have seen cases when entire process is completed from start-to-end in 3 months and in some it is more than a year.. The best one can do is build an application strong enough that would not trigger additional documents request, or get your application returned.
Any document which is not in English or French should be translated. But when it comes to marriage invitation there is an inherent understanding that it may be in non-english print, which i guess should be fine. That is anyways not a mandatory asked document but a SUPPLEMENTARY proof you are attaching. It will be a ornate print which should be more than enough of a proof that it is a marriage invitation card. It would be best though if at least your names are in English, and preferably the date. Again not a mandate.
There is no set timeline for any of the events that happen throughout the Canada family sponsorship process. Based on our review typically it can range between 2 weeks to 3 months - again, not a sure thing to say but you will get your CoPR anytime soon. :)
Hey, I'm sorry for so delayed response. You might already have the answer but in case not, yes, the testimonials can be submitted from mutual friends as well.
I would say that 'it matters only to the extent where someone who is not native speaker (Arabic, in your case) is able to understand the conversation. For example, in the chat history we submitted there were couple of slangs very sporadicly used. So, even if you one is not a Hindi speaker will understand the conversation. My personal recommendation (use it with your discretion) is to have at least 95% of the chat in English or French. Rest 5% would be the words that someone can guess. Hope this helps.

If brother in law is inviting what would be the proof of relationship
May I know under which program you are applying? For family sponsorship applications brother-in-law cannot be a sponsor.
Can you share few samples of Letter of explanation with us?
