This was such a wonderful easy pattern. I make prayer shawls and do one a week so always looking for something nice but gender friendly. This pattern is not a yarn eater either. I did a 20x62 inch shawl with 17oz (819 yards) of red heart ombré. I always use a 7mm hook but crochet very tight. I started with 210 stitches but I always start with SC foundation row. Thank you so much for such a nice pattern I always love your work!

@@BlossomCrochet my original goal in learning to crochet, a little over a year ago, was to make a ripple afghan. 😄 Now that I've "mastered" one ripple stitch, (and almost mastered straight edges thanks to you), I realize that ripple isn't the "apex of crochet" I had originally thought it was. But it's still a lovely and very versatile pattern.

I love doing ripple stitches but I have always had a problem with the stitch count going awry for me…. I really have never understood why, but I’m thinking that possibly I didn’t understand that the count shifts while making the new peak. It is much easier to get off count when you’re doing a sharp ripple such as a eight or 10 stitch up an eight or 10 stitch down type, but I’m thinking maybe this shorter one has given me a clue. Lol. Thank you so much Rebecca for your great tutorials. I always love your work and can recognize it before I even see the title on the video because of your color choices are always so gentle and soft. Thank you again.!
