I find these instructions the clearest on youtube. Thank you for explaining so clearly. Will get started now on winter cot blanket.
Thanks so much! 😊🌸
@@BlossomCrochet got started! Must admit I found beginning and end of first row a bit awkward but it's OK. Thank you again.
Omg I've been doing this for years and no one has ever shown how to "build" a double crochet like that instead of the loose chain 3 at the start of a row!! You are my hero!!❤️😁
So glad this was helpful! 🌸☺️
Wow. This is the first time I can see the peaks into the patern. Thank you for sharing
I actually just learned how to crochet without ridges. I always used the back loop until I learned otherwise lol. I’m so excited to try your chevron ridged stitch. :3 I learned the star pattern, and now this is my next project.
I have always loved this stitch. So pretty.
I love the way you start your rows and I’m gonna keep that forever.
That’s great! 🌸
2 dc,skip 1, 11 dc, 3dc inc
Beautiful. Love the colours you have used for this. Your tutorials are so clear and consise. ❤
Thanks so much Anne!
Lovely pattern, thank you for sharing. Happy Easter 🐣😊
I did this by accident for a few rows of a blanket (im a beginner), decided to keep going this way, back loops only, i ended up with this lovely very cozy ridged zig zag blanket. I LOVE the texture. Gifted it to my daughter and she absolutely loves it. I did all double half crochets. Except for the dips and peaks. It ended up being a very weighty cozy blanket.
That sounds absolutely beautiful! I love a heavy cosy blanket, I’m glad your daughter loves it! 💓
Thanks for the tip about building up the treble instead of just using a regular treble to begin the next row. Much better. 😊
So glad you found it useful! 🌸🥰
Happy Easter, Hugs and Blessings
Beautiful blanket I love how stylish it looks in grown up colours thank you Rebekah hope you had a lovely Easter 😊Amanda xx💕
Thanks so much Amanda! 🌸
Very good explanation.

You're welcome! I’m so glad you found it helpful 🌸😍
My grandmas mother made a blanket like this for her wedding present, and now I'm teaching my grandma how to make this :)
Thank you so much for such a great tutorial ❤️ and clear instructions 🌹 my blanket is on it’s way 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much ☺️
😊
so excited, Rebekah! i had purchased the baby blossom chunky (and can go to Mrs Snufflebean for fill-ins) and then got stuck what i could (at my skill level) make with it -- this is PERFECTTTTT!!!! thank you so much -- really pretty and goes much easier with your tutorials!! Happy Easter! 🐰🌼🐰🌼🐰
Thank you so much Mary Jo! 🐣🌸
Beautiful
Beautiful, always wanted to try this blanket.
Thank you Karol, I’m glad you like it ☺️
Very well explained
A very useful 😌 thank you
You're welcome 😊
I love this tutorial, I'm actually trying to figure out how to make something I have in mind and I'm wondering if this would work for a single v shape and possibly also with a deeper v/more acute angle(not sure how to word it)
Happy 🐣 Easter !
Thank you! 🌸
This pattern is my favourite, always love your Tutorial, and vry easy to follow you, step by step, i have done couple of Zig-Zag chevrons, lov it 💜
Love this, and am currently making it. Do you have a guide for squaring the ends?
hi good morning could you do more chains then 25 as im trying to work out to create a wide chevron great work thankyou really clear instrutions
Do you happen to answer questions?
I love the look!! Thankyou for a lovely tutorial and want to try this, need the right yarn first!! Happy Easter!!
Thank you Sandra!
Beautiful. I noticed beginning stitch of first row was an elongated dc (tc for you). Does that serve a purpose or do you just like to start that way.
This is beautiful. Do you have to work into the back stitch ?❤
this is amazing. thank you so much, i havent been crocheting for long but im making a baby blanket. im using larger yarn and its smaller but ive figured it out, only a few rows in and im really excited
That’s wonderful! 🌸
Is there a written pattern available?
How many stitcher would you recommend for a moses basket
It's coming out so nice I'm following your video, but I don't know why I'm getting stitch increase as I'm progressing. I'm so confused 😕 . I don't want to open it all coz it looks so beautiful
💖
Another great video, Rebekah! What border would you suggest for this project? Thank you 💖💖
Hi Jo, I went around mine with a simple frill border once it was complete, this one: ruclips.net/video/gnZC82tg6oM/видео.html
Brilliant! Thanks Rebekah 💖
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong I’ve don the chain and first row all good but then on the 2nd row I need to crochet 12 to reach the middle stitch of 3 to then do the top of the peak. Can anyone help please.
How many chains for baby size ( about 30 or so wide)
Hi, I started your blanket several times. I chained 75 plus 5. At the end I have 12 left. When I turn I end up with 13 at that end. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
Hard to see what you're doing with variegated yarn. Also didn't understand what you did as you turned after first row. I think you made it overly complicated.😢
How can we add a straight edge to this chevron pattern
HI REBECKA
JUST love the afghan I love ripples so how many rows do you do before changing to another color?
Can this be done without working the back loops?
Nice colors you've worked up.
Thanks
Hi Joanie, I’m glad you like it. For the blanket in the thumbnail I did 3 rows of each colour, but you can do as many as you wish and if you do an even number of each colour, you’ll be able to carry your yarn up the sides if you wanted to. And yes, you can work through the whole stitch instead and it will still be lovely! 🥰
Thank you so thoughtful of you to answer I'll give it a whirl,I always have trouble with ripples maybe this one will work out.
Beautiful stitch!! What yarn did you use in the thumbnail? If you said it in the video, I apologize ahead of time!
It’s stylecraft chunky in White, lemon, silver and graphite - there’s a link in the description if you’re looking for somewhere to get it 🥰
@@BlossomCrochet thank you!! It's beautiful!!
Did you do the other afghan which is very beautiful in a chunky yarn also or a 4 ply it's looks very easy and it's very beautiful the colors u did it in was beautiful
Yes - the yarn in the thumbnail is Stylecraft chunky in white, lemon, silver and graphite and I used a 6mm hook 🥰
@@BlossomCrochet thank you for responding back its very helpful for a Newby this is goung to be my first ripple afghan or a chevron afghan so this helps me thank u again
How big was the blanket that you made? And how many skeins did you use? I love the pattern and I’m trying to see how much yarn I will need.
Hi, the blanket I made was gifted about 4 years ago and I cannot remember how big it was once finished, but I do know that I used 2 balls of each of the colours. Sorry that I can't be of more help!
@@BlossomCrochet thank you for replying. This gives me an idea of how much yarn to start with. I can’t wait to get started. Thank you for your video 😊
I don't know what the heck I am doing wrong!! I've done this 3 times now! Do 175 stitches plus 5. 2dc skip one 11 DC 3dc in next 11dc skip 2 etc....but I do not have 3 left over. Frustrating me!!!you make it so easy, so clear, I just dont know what I am doing wrong.
I'm having the same problem except I did 250 chains + 5. I take out two chains and from the beginning and I have only 2
I have double checked my chains and stitches and yet I'm still off/missing 5 stitches T.T
Beautiful but no yarn cause no deliveries to Mexico. Mail or anything
I’m confused at the part where you say add 5 to the multiple of 25. Does that mean only add 5 regardless of the multiple, or does it mean add 5 for each multiple?
I have the same question
Have you notice they use to tell what size hook you use. There have been serval people forget to mention the size of it. Please start back say the size of hook used.
Hook size please I really love your tutorials but most of the time u forget to say hook size and as a beginner some people use diff size hooks instead of what yarn calls for so I would really like to know exactly what hook for every project I like to try thank u
Any hook size, just make sure it matches the thickness of your chosen yarn
She is using a 6mm crochet hook. I don’t know why she would not tell you that….you’re welcome 🤗
Is it BLO for the rest of the pattern?
Yes it is indeed 💛
Do u have to use chunky ?
No you don’t - you can use absolutely any yarn that you like 🌸
Hello everyone ! So I chained 200 plus five ! Was I suppose to had five for each 25 chains ! I’m at the end of my first row and I have five chains left . Please someone help? 😂
What border did you have on this? It’s the reason I picked this blanket over other chevrons
I left my edges 'pointy' and just added a simple frill around all of the sides using this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/gnZC82tg6oM/видео.html
Why is my stitches increasing ???
You never showed how to switch colors.
