I started and unraveled over 10 blankets before I found this video, I just couldn't get it!!!!! This video made it click, and I just finished my very 1st crocheted project!!!! I love the double yarn, the blanket is so thick and warm. I made mine in a queen size, and my son LOVES IT!!! It was a surprise gift for him, and he loves it. Thank you so much for making this easy for me!!!!

This is a terrific explanation of the ripple stitch. Thanks to you I've now mastered the shell stitch, double and single crochets. Seeing a visual explanation is for me far easier than trying to follow a written pattern.

OMG! This is the first tutorial of yours that I am attempting and I am in love with how you point to each stitch that you’re skipping or stitching into with your crochet hook… Often times watching tutorials it can be hard to see where someone stitching into and for somebody like me who is still in the beginning stages of learning sometimes you might not know where to go but you make it so visibly clear....Thank you so much for a thorough tutorial ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The ripple is my favorite afghan. When my 3 children went to college, I made 16 of them for my 3 and friends. Each was queen size, for use as bedspread, blanket for football games , etc.. Red Heart and 30 yrs later, look like new! Thanks for many ideas!

I was falling short a stitch on the 2nd row (sk 2 stitches, 1 DC in next 7 stitches) I was only getting six in until I reached the ch2 space. I see others came upon the same issue.
I fixed it by doing a dc, ch2, DC in the ch2 spaces. Same effect and youre getting your 7 stitches in with a ch2 in between.
    Hope this helps!
Beautiful blanket! Making it now as a gift and love the look. Thank you @naztazia!

So many great patterns. Some times, I don't know what to do next. Great page. I started crochet and knitting when I worked for a telecom company in the late 90's. Needed something to do to kill some time. Hotel rooms can get rather boring and confining at times. Have done several afghans over the years and am now working on a granny square afghan based on the afghan seen on the Roseann show by when.

I have a chevron Afghan (just green and yellow) that belonged to my late grandmother that we took out of my late grandfathers house, it was a gift to her actually, so I’ve been looking at chevron crochet blanket/afghan tutorials so I can make my own eventually and this one looks the closest to it and I love the soft blending between colors for a rainbow effect because I’d love to make it rainbow. I like that you made this seem simple, I recently took up crocheting and with a little more practice I look forward to making my own thanks to this :) just need to practice with double stitching

I am making this blanket right now. I love your tutorials and think that as you start ea row you should say the ch3 is counted as a stitch and count is then 8 for the start and end. This of course was explained so well in your diagram but unfortunately I got straight into it and I did put the extra stitch at the end each row but missed putting it there to start the next row. Somehow I didn't find the error for 4 rows and frogged it and have started again. Can't believe I missed that. Thanks love your tutorials

Have you ever made or considered making a crochet-a-long blanket with many different stitches? I'm sure it would be awesome and I would love to learn one from you. Your instructions are clear and you know many stitches. ~Michelle
