At last, I found a very clear instruction in doing the ripple stitch. You are an excellent teacher. I am enjoying crochet during the pandemic. Thank you soooo much.
I like your explanations. I made a ripple blanket many years ago and it looked more like a trapezoid. You were right when you said a child would still love looking at it. My grandson is 21 years old and he still has that lopsided old blanket which was bigger than a baby blanket. It was so soft but not crocheted correctly. Years later I finally took up crocheting again. You tube videos are the best. I am a visual learner so that helps a lot when I see a demonstration rather than reading a pattern. Thank you so much!
I love this pattern. You are great at explaining exactly what you’re doing. I’m pretty experienced, but I was looking to learn a new and easy baby blanket pattern. Thank you❤️
This video literally saved my life and time , I wasn’t doing the stitches right and I came across this video and I started to see the pattern . Thank you so much ☺️
Bonnie, I just became a granny on Dec24 , 2022 and very much appreciate your lovey encouraging instruction of this chevron blanket! ! I love it so much!Your voice is so clear and beautiful to listen to. I am now a subscriber!! I also viewed the first of your several videos of that gorgeous multi coloured ,multi stitch Aphgan! It’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Not sure if I am quite ready for such a large project..may make practice samplers!
Cheers for your encouragement in sharing these tutorials, Bonnie 🥰🎁🌻🌷🐕🐈🐾🐾💕 ♡♡♡♡♡ Baby blankets are my favourite to knit & crochet. I especially love the quote by Corrie ten Boom you shared recently ~ it moved me to tears knowing God hears our prayers (however small). That His love knows no bounds. Your channel & books never cease to inspire & I wish you and yours the most beautiful weekend. #Hugs Xxxxx
Linette Low thank you for sharing that with me! I read Corrie’s quote from another friend’s post that morning and after confirming that these were her words, I couldn’t get them off my mind - which I took to mean that He didn’t want it to stop with me. I really needed that message and new that others probably did too. Wishing you all His best!❤️

Hi Bonnie! I read in your description to add 14 if we want to make it bigger. If we want to make it smaller do we take away 14? I’d like to do one with a chain in the 80s range. Like a travel size blanket God Bless you ❤️ I love your Christian decorations 😊
I'm Just amazed how soothing your voice is and somehow after many years of crocheting my brain all of a sudden clicks and it all makes sense. U tube and you Bonnie are a godsend! Now my afghans are going to look like I know what I'm doing. I just want to say thank you!

I just pulled out a whole skein I had crocheted trying to make a chevron blanket. So frustrating, its the only blanket my Mom thought she could make lol.... I love it and have been missing her a lot lately, the ends are where I was messing up... It is explained that this "After you have worked the last 13 chains, you should have two extra. Hello. This is a beautiful baby blanket, I like the high deep valleys and peaks and thought that I could give it a try. I am a beginner I did row 1 with no problem. In row 2 the valleys and the peaks don't correspond in the same place as in row 1. I understand the concept of the 3DC tog. and the three DC in the same chain but it is not working for me. Thank you for your tutorial.

Hi Bonnie, I want to thank you for the tutorial, the blanket turned out so pretty! Is it possible to create a shell stitch edging for this blanket? Hi, I sent you a comment yesterday about my blanket being 38 in wide, but actually its only 36 but would still like to know why its so wide. I have been crocheting for a while and the stitches looks fine, not too loose, no too tight. Thanks.
The yarn I used was also a DK weight yarn. If you are using a worsted weight yarn that can be the difference. There are many variables with this craft.😊
@@regenerationelementsindesi8467 video description, sorry for the typo. Here' s the information you requested: Should you want to make this project wider, simply add a multiple of 14 to the existing chain for each chevron you wish to add.
I finished the baby blanket and it turned out great, but I think the blanket needs a border. Do you have any suggestions or videos of crochet borders for a baby blanket?
Hi! This pattern is perfect! I wanted to find out how much should my starting chain be and how much rows will it be if I wanted to make a 36 x 36 size baby blanket using weight 3 yarn?
Just add 14 chains to the starting chain for each chevron you want to add. You should make a small swatch to determine just how many chevrons you need to make 36" across.
Hi love this pattern. I need to make a blanket that is 39 inches square. Please help as to how many ch. do I need to start.Thank you. Take care love from South Africa
Hi, am making this baby blanket with the lion brand yarn in strawberry and I chained 128 chains. I think you said the blanket is 28 x 29, however I have done 3 rows and it looked a little wide so I measured and its 38 in wide. Do you know why that is? Thanks

The yarn I used was also a DK weight yarn. If you are using a worsted weight yarn that can be the difference. There are many variables with this craft.😊
Thank you for this lesson 😉 love this pattern. You are precious
Awww...thank you JoAnne!
Thank you for your video. If I wanted to make it wider, what multiple should I use?
Please check the video description. That information is there, I believe.😊
but description? @@BonnieBayCrochet
You can check out some of the borders on my other blankets, but this style doesn't traditionally need one. Maybe a simple single crochet trim?
Always fun to learn a different way to do what I call zig zag/chevron style blanket.tytyty
Hi love this pattern. I need to make a blanket that is 39 inches square.
Please help as to how many ch. do I need to start.Thank you.
Take care love from South Africa
Hello Bonnie, I love the Colour Choice 💕 for this Chevron baby blanket 😀 thank you 💓 Erica x
You are very welcome Erica! I so love how the yarn does all the work for me in this area.
Hi, am making this baby blanket with the lion brand yarn in strawberry and I chained 128 chains. I think you said the blanket is 28 x 29, however I have done 3 rows and it looked a little wide so I measured and its 38 in wide. Do you know why that is? Thanks
Perhaps you are using a larger hook? Or tend to crochet looser/larger?
Very beautiful I love it!!!
Would love make this a little wider butt sure how many stitches to add to get it to come out right... thank you so much
Should you want to make this project wider, simply add a multiple of 14 to the existing chain for each chevron you wish to add.
I love the look of this blanket! I’m pretty new at crochet but I think I can do it. The end of rows is what I find a little confusing but with practice I’m sure I’ll get it. Thanks for showing us this pattern. 😊
Me too
Haven’t mastered
Love how you teach thank you l thought I would never learn how to
O do a rippie
Just a lovely, lovely pattern..Thank you Bonnie
So much easier than others I have tried. Can I let the DC between the valley and hill be more than 3 stitches?
There are many ways of doing the ripple stitch. You can always change the multiples to achieve the size you wish.😊
@@BonnieBayCrochet Thanks for answering my question! I love your videos!!
