You always deliver for me. Just the right pattern when I need one. I'm making lapghans for Native Elders and love my granny blankets but needed something a little less holey for warmth. This works! I may alternate the granny row with two rows of dc. Thanks again for a great tutorial.
Thank you so much for the pattern and tutorial for this beautiful pattern!! I love the way you start a new row, instead of chaining one or two or three! I’m going to remember that! It looks much neater doing it the way you showed! Thanks again! NORMA COLLINS FROM TEXAS, USA
You did such a great job with this! What a beautiful project! The edges are perfect! I especially love the method you use instead of chaining up at the beginning of a row! Genius! Thank you!
I love this! It's a simple but lovely pattern. This is my favourite type of pattern when I just need to distress & not pay too close attention. Thank you!❤
This is such a wonderful stitch combo. I have started a blanket with Red Heart super Saver in turquoise ombre. It's going to be so pretty. I like this because it has texture but not bulky and lays flat and the spaces between the granny stitches are not very large, I think because the double crochet (us) holds it together nicely and gives it just enough drape. Thank you
I can't wait to try this, I have an afghan my great grandmother made which was passed down to me, I could never figure out what the stitches are exactly -- very solid, but also attractive -- this pattern has such nice even sides and looks beautiful with the granny clusters. I have to choose some beautiful yarn and make this blanket next 💜
Many thanks for this pattern, I finally found a design to do my vest/sweater.. Been looking for an horizontal not a vertical patterns as most are.. I am going to try with a hdc instead of dc [Canadian] it's my fav stitch.. I have done quite a few of your designs and always find something cool.. 🐦🤗
I've just finished a little blanket following this pattern and wonder if you have a tutorial for a simple border I could crochet along the edges? Thanks
That's wonderful to hear! I have two 'go to' borders which I'll share links for and they look amazing on ANY blanket 🌸 Moss Stitch Border: ruclips.net/video/HhPRHKNymfU/видео.html Simple Frill Border: ruclips.net/video/gnZC82tg6oM/видео.html
You’re welcome 😊 I’m so happy to hear you’ve made one! I am a sucker for a simple Moss Stitch border (I have a tutorial for this on my channel if you need it) but I think any border you like the look of would work anyway 🌸🥰
This looks great! I’ll make a blanket in this pattern, but would it be possible for the double crochet row after the starting chain to be a treble row instead?
Hi, absolutely love this pattern. However as a beginner I just don’t seem to be able to get it right. I keep gaining stitches. Have ripped it 3 times now😢 Am I doing something wrong or do the 2 trebles in first and last stitch on the cluster row make this happen? I’m at a loss, please help 😂
It depends what size blanket you want to make, and what weight yarn you’re planning to use… for example I used 4 balls of this dk for my baby blanket and then 1 further ball for a border 🌸
The one thing about using the stacked single crochet (dc) at the beginning is that the very last place to put a stitch (in the row above) is not easy to see. After finishing that first stacked stitch, put a stitch marker in the first chain behind the hook. It will seem like it is just part of the side of the stacked stitch, but it is where your last stitch goes when you come back across. Hope that wasn't too confusing. I use this a lot and have made all the mistakes 😂
I would think so Jane! Although sometimes that type of yarn variegation works best with ‘shorter’ stitches that look a little more like knitting… That being said, one of my favourite blankets I’ve ever made was using that yarn and doing treble stitches - so I guess it’s just try and see! 🌸🥰

Beautiful stitch pattern! Love it and will be using it to make a blanket for my great granddaughter! Thank you for sharing your excellent tutorial! 💕🤗
That’s so lovely to hear, I hope that she loves it 🥰🌸
I like my afghans to be 2 sided and so I crocheted 2 "solid" rows and one "cluster" row. Still easy, still pretty. And reversible.😊
Execellent idea
Beautiful stitch and fab tutorial as always. Thank you so much 😊🤗
Thanks so much Linda! 🌸

Yes absolutely! It makes a wonderful blanket! 🥰🌸
@@BlossomCrochet thank you , I'm going to enjoy doing this pattern 😊💜
How many chain stitches did you use
I've been given some Blossom chunky wool, would that be ok to use for this pattern.

Love this stitch for blankets. Looks so fast and easy. Do you have written patterns for sale?
Thank you so much. I’ve not got a written pattern, sorry. 🌸
It's gorgeous I'm gonna make a wrap and a blanket would you put a border round please
Can you use Aran or chunky yarn for this blanket ? Thank you x
Yes you can! You can use absolutely any yarn that you like ♥️
Do you go through both the loops or just the front one?
Thank you for this tutorial , I have just finished my blanket , what border would you suggest ,

What border do you recommend?
I can't wait to try this stitch! I'm currently finishing up another project right now. If I want to change colors, where is the best point to do that?
I’d like to know this to if anyone has any advice or if you worked it out? :)
I have a couple cakes of variegated cakes don’t know what to do with them, they are #4 cotton blend, would they look nice in this granny stitch. .
how many chains would you start with please?
