    I watched a video a while back and the person said if you chain 2 at the beginning of each row representing a double instead of a chain 3 the sides will be straighter. I tried it and it works.

    • @judyalvarez7958
      @judyalvarez7958 2 года назад

      I wasn't aware if that trick. I often chain 2 at the end of the row or turn then chain 2 at beginning of the next row.

      Yes! It works well! There is another more complex stitch you can use
      To start the next row. I saw it on a
      Spanish speakers colorful poncho video. You can even chain up only one and it still works. I’ve used the shorter chaining to meet gauge sometimes too? There are times you might want the hole that chaining three and skipping the first stitch creates? The hole can be used for buttons. Craftsy has a tutorial in making a baby sweater that uses this. I like counting the first chain as a stitch but to each their own it all works.

    So after 6 rows you change colors and start (repeat) rows 3 thru 6? This means that Color B follows instructions for rows 3, 4, 5, 6, 3. 4 .5. Color C would be 6, 3, 4, 5, 6, 3, 4. Can you clarify?

    I just found your site and joined on Facebook!!! I found I was searching on Rivaly... and kept choosing your patterns!!! So I went looking!! I found sooooo many Baby Blanket Patterns that I can't WAIT to get started on. Our local Women's Care Center is requesting blankets for new mothers in need. I'm thrilled!!!
    You seem like a VERY experienced crochet-girl.... sooooo... I want to ask you a question that I have wondered my whole crocheting life. Why do MOST patterns start with the LONG side of the project... the SHORT side of the project? Like? If the blanket is 30"x 40"... the pattern starts with chaining X amount for the 40" side instead of the 30" side. It's just something I have always wondered.
    Thank you for showing this video and how to make the pom-poms!! I may try it when I do this pattern!!!! I'm starting with this pattern!!! White, Blue, Pink, Yellow, Mint!!

    I got it figured out..to keep the four repeat rows straight…I have four different color stitch markers that I mark what row I’m on..then remove all four and add them back one row at a time…working great,…must be I’m the only one getting these row endings and starting mixed up?…my throw is looking gorgeous…thanks, Tiffany!…

    I love this pattern! I have a question- in the video you say, once you change colors, we repeat rows 3-6, but I don't think that is indicated on the written pattern (if I missed it please correct me!) I just wanted to double check and ask if we do repeat rows 3-6 when we change colors, do we do it twice to get 6 rows?
