Honestly it's a coin flip and depends on the type of home you want to purchase. if you have kids that are attending public school then moving to Columbia may be the better option as Howard County Public Schools are ranked #1 in the state. Please let me know how else I can help.

We’re looking to relocate to Maryland because my husband works in Arlington VA and we want to be within 1hr of his work. The hard part is we’ll be renting and it seems like the rental market is way overpriced. We also want decent schools and not close to violence crime, any suggestions? Should I hire a rental real estate agent to help?

@MikaMarie thanks so much for tuning in to our channel. So to answer your question, i would definitely work with a real estate agent to find your new place to rent. They have access to all of the properties listed on the MLS and can also protect you by reviewing your lease before you sign it. My team and I would love the opportunity to help you with this. One thing to mention with your husband working in Arlington is that the best way for him to commute it to use the MARC train into DC and then see if you can catch the Metro to his office.
