Delaware is just an extension of Philadelphia, really suburban in the north, and rural in the south. It's an okay state, great shopping, but Maryland has so much more culturally to offer.

Is there a community in Delaware that is comparable to Ocean Pines MD?

Bayside in Selbyville is similar and slightly better than Ocean Pines in my opinion. The only downside is that it is quite a bit more expensive than Ocean Pines.
