We do ths every morning whn we get out of the bed! It helps our bodies ( 99 & 77) get going. We h. Been doing ths 4 5 years. U just showed up in my feed! How about those algorithms
I started something like this one morning as I always watched my dogs shake first thing when waking, then follow by stretching. It made sense and does help. Dogs are great teachers.
The qigong I do involves simply standing, legs slightly bent & just letting the body start to shake by itself - it may take longer for some people, but you just relax & do not slouch forward or backwards, gaze slightly down - if you shake too much you need to stop - I believe this practice may have originated from older practices, pre-dating qigong.
Yes, Qigong is mainly a very grounded, slow moving practice. The exercise you're referring to is Zhan Zhuong (standing like a tree) and is very powerful! This shaking exercise is just one exercise and is mainly a nervous system reset.
I am partial bedridden, been doing exercises in bed, going to give this a try, nothing to lose but better health and flexibility, thank you for your videos
Thank you. I liked you're emphasis on letting it go, making it your own, noticing the change and just doing it for a minute here and there makes a BIG impact. Simple and helpful!
Hey, thanks for this one! I feel much more focus and clarity right now, like my energies have settled where they ought to be. Could it be any simpler? Love it!!
Thanks, been watching an online class all day. Feeling stiff and blah, and a little blue. This helped my stiffness and with my emotions tremendously! Thanks so much! 🙏
so i've done this a few times because i noticed it felt good, usually listening to music, or feeling amped up, without knowing it was actually called something. And youtube just randomly suggested this video. What a funny synchronicity
Shaking is just one of many Qigong exercises, and shaking is one of many dance forms. Both dancing and Qigong are great! I invite you to explore and do what works for you.
Jumping on the trampoline (rebounding) is incredible beneficial for the cardiovascular system and lymphatic system. You can do shaking on it too, but simply jumping on the trampoline is easier.
How wonderful! It reminds me of something I thought I made up. I call it The Gorilla, and you can guess what it looks like! Only do it alone in the house. 😂
@@resilientbeing447 thank you I will. I have tried minfulness and so far got little benefit. I do full qigong 5 elements 20 something minutes and it helps but the anxiety returns after I try to sleep.
@@alanwilson2897 There are numerous factors at play here in terms of what can cause anxiety. From an awareness and emotional regulation standpoint, see if you can not resist the feeling and breathe through it. Acceptance is the first step to dealing with challenging feelings. See if you can allow the fear and have a dance with it.
You can do this for 1-2 minutes and get a lot of benefits. The benefits compound when you practice regularly. This video was meant to be short simply for demonstration.

Yes, very true! If you watch animals, they are great at shaking.

Thanks for your take on this because I have a bad lower back!!!
That's the Chinese version. That move absolutely kills!
The Rebounder is the most efficient exercise known. 🎉
Rebounder is a great exercise!
This is an interesting Qigong. RUclips has been great for me for broadening my scope.
Yes, this a bit different than a normal qigong routine, but it's a very important exercise!

I like this, it does seem to help, thank you!

Thank you good 🙌💕💕💕

I love how short and to the point and informative this was, most videos are to long and full of unnecessary fluff.
@@gregbailey2203 appreciate the support!
I used to do this years ago! Thank you for reminding me!!
You're welcome!
Hope: why did you stop it? 🙄
I did that in the 70s- wearing a leisure suit at the club with the Gibbs brothers playing loudly! awesome!
Time to bring it back!!
Looks good for the lymphatic system.
Great for many things, including the lymphatic system and your bones as well.

Very nice 👍 so simple, recenly I tried tadasana in slow motion 2-3 min to attain final position. It gives tremendous relief to body.
You're welcome! Standing in a pose like tadasana is very powerful, grounding and energizing for the body when done with proper alignment.

@@resilientbeing447 That shaking and bouncing for stress, it helped! But doing the stress thing, made me want to dance... 😀
@@bevsalo9783 dancing is one of the best ways to get your shaking in, and it's one of my preferred ways!

Hi how long o this for please?
I'd recommend shaking for at least 1 min and you'll notice a difference. You can have some bigger effects if you shake longer.
Is this exercise good for the lymphatic system as well? I am 70 and was pretty comfortable .. Thanks!

Does dancing to music do the same thing?
If you shake while you dance yes!
@@resilientbeing447 I'm going to prescribe for myself some old fashioned rock and roll. Heavy metal might be good too. 🙂
Do the effects last for a long time or do i constantly need to administer this technique everytime im anxious?
Doing this shaking exercise more frequently will be beneficial if you are dealing with higher stress or anxiety
You can also take a look at other breathing videos I have on this channel as well as the zen Sunday mindfulness session that's a longer session.
good stuff
Enjoy!
I learned this years ago in college but forgot the name. I'm glad searching for "puppet shake meditation" brought me here.
Glad it brought you here! It be fun to imagine doing this like a puppet the next time!
What's the difference between this and dancing? Would dancing actually be a form of Qigong?

can we do this on tramboline

Always from heels bouncing 🙏
@@radopotepuh3458 yes keep up the bouncing!
Is this good before bed or is it energizing?
You can do a gentle version of this before bed since it is a relaxing exercise.
People's negative spirit will effect your thinking so that routine works
Yes it’s important to maintain a healthy energy field
How wonderful! It reminds me of something I thought I made up. I call it The Gorilla, and you can guess what it looks like! Only do it alone in the house. 😂
Yea! Love the primal movements! Animals are intuitive
