    Thank you for these. I would pour chocolate over them and put them back in the fridge, when chocolate is set, then cut into bars. So yummy. If your vegan leave out the honey and add extra brown sugar and bring that to a boil. And you can make your own chocolate with cocoa powder and coconut cream. or use dairy free chocolate to purchase over your nutty bars. 😉😄

    • @uTryIt
      @uTryIt  6 лет назад +4

      Lourdes Rivera For each part Brown Rice Syrup called for, substitute 1/2 part molasses or 3/4 part Barley Malt Syrup or 3/4 part honey or 3/4 part maple syrup.

    Can I substitute Brown rice syrup with honey or molasses!?

    • @uTryIt
      @uTryIt  6 лет назад +3

      The brown rice syrup is the binding agent in the recipe. I'm afraid honey and molasses are not thick enough to set the Protein Bars. You can substitute with corn syrup. But Brown rice syrup is slightly healthier and that's why I use that. Hope that helps.

      What about agave as a substitute?

    • @uTryIt
      @uTryIt  6 лет назад

      Agave is also on the thinner (runnier) side in consistency compared to brown rice syrup. If your honey is the super thick and sticky type, that might be okay as substitute. Otherwise, I would stick with using brown rice syrup. Just to make sure the bars can set properly. Hope that helps.

    Hi thanks for the recipe and quality video. Does heating the honey helps make the bar more rigid and less gooey?

    • @uTryIt
      @uTryIt  8 лет назад +1

      yes, the whole purpose of heating the syrup and honey mixture was to slightly thicken it so the bars can set properly. 😉

    Hi! do you refrigerate all the mixture?? or bake?

    • @uTryIt
      @uTryIt  6 лет назад

      Georgina Martinez E. You only need to set it set at room temperature for 2 hours before cutting. You can also keep in the fridge to speed up the process. There's no need to bake. The link to the recipe and step bt step instructions are right below the video. Hope that helps. Happy cooking.

    what is the purpose of using raw honey if you exposed it to hot temperature?! 🤔😒😡

    • @uTryIt
      @uTryIt  7 лет назад +2

      Well, that's the only honey I've got around the kitchen. So that's what I used.
