- UPDATE (11/15/13) : I made more today (44 to be precise by doubling the recipe). I also added a tiny bit less honey,no oil in the dark chocolate and let the syrup hit 258 degrees. So they should have slightly less cal, fat and are chewier. Each bar averages around $0.40-$0.50each, and 170-200 calories depending on size.
I absolutely love KIND Bars but they are quite expensive so I couldn't wait to replicate them at home. I am very please with the results and I hope you enjoy this recipe too! :)

Just made these! Used the nuts we had on hand and I also try to stay away from peanuts so I used cashews, pecans and almonds. They taste FANTASTIC - a little too soft/chewy maybe so next time I'll let it cook a little longer. My candy thermometer might be a little off. Thanks for sharing this! Already looking forward to making another batch.

I want to try making the plain peanut butter flavor but without the milk powder they add w/kind bars! They may taste more nutty bc kind bar brand adds chicory root fiber to every flavor I think

Did you pop your millet or did you already buy it puffed? I'm having a hard time finding puffed millet (not even in whole foods) and I can't really find a recipe for how to pop millet (and I tried to pop it but no luck!).. Amazon sales it but it's like extremely expensive.. I mean, it's just millet!...

Seems like quite a lot of almonds, I know this is an older video. Any chance you made an updated one? Might you have a suggestion for a substitute for maybe 1/2 that quantity of almonds? Would you think that walnuts would work out in this recipe?
