These bars are great. I've made them twice. One Tip I have to share is when you put the mixture in the parchment lined pan, flatten it out as best you can, and then add another piece of parchment over the top of everything. Then using a small glass, flatten it all out, and roll it over the middle and along the edges. This will make them very even. Then while they are cooling in the fridge, leave the parchment paper on the top for protection.
Add protein powder to make it a high content protein bars. You can use half the amount of dates, add more pumpkin seeds. Instead of peanut butter, add olive oil or melted coconut oil. You can add some coconut flakes. Healthy fats & protein cut cravings but moderation is a key. Bon Appetite ☺
The olive oil tips is good as i don't have peanut butter. Just done with mine with many alteration to ingredients i currently have. I think any alteration will make wonderful energy bar. Same ingredients i usually have with my morning oat. Wish me well for my 5K fun run tomorrow!
Looks delicious! I used to buy something like this for work lunch, a small coffee shop sold them. Went past one day and they were closed. The slice was so good I’ve been looking for a recipe for months. Thanks

Yeah. I think a good alternative for when you’re on the go would be to pack only a jar of oats & a water bottle. Mix the water into the jar 🫙 to prepare. Maybe pack some almonds too for some flavor.
@@fuentes_grace pretty depressing taste if it's just that. at this point just have a quarter scoop chocolate flavor protein powder with the water and oats. so you even get protein and even more importantly, taste. also - low fat almond milk would be an extremely tiny addition in calories, but it would be worth to even take out some oats in exchange. or a bit of greek yogurt for some density and wider nutrients too. the thing you might underestimate is that meals (even snacks) should be filling and satisfying in both nutrients and taste - otherwise you'll continue to have cravings and the diet goes bad.

As for the almond milk, I don’t mind adding it to oatmeal every now and then. Protein powder I try to consume in moderation, as well. Well the weight loss in the description is sure missleading. Also i would not use the peanut butter and try dates only. To know about good and bad ingredients in your food is essential. If you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle and time is a matter it sure is better to have a homemade bar like this than many other things. This "Energy bomb" before your session at the gym or when u didn't get to have breakfast but lunch is only 2h away sure dows the trick. It is sure NOT anything you would eat 2 to 3 times a day. But as a quick snack twice a busy week it can deserve a spot in your diet. And yes it is sweet and yes sugar but think about it. If you like granola bars, isn't it better the have one like this than one from the supermarket where you have no idea whats in there and all sticks together because of corn syrup?
I'd say eating it in moderation as a healthy snack is much better than other alternatives. All the fiber is better too and may help a little with weight loss.

I made the peanut butter at home with 2 cups of nuts, just a pinch of salt since it was unsalted peanuts n a tsp of honey honey n it came out semi liquid fantastic taste.
All of that dried fruit and honey… that’s a lot of concentrated sugar. For example, each 24g date contains roughly 16 g of sugar. That’s about a tablespoon and a quarter worth of sugar per date, just so everyone is clear about the sugar content…
Just what I've been looking for. Thanks for putting the dates in water, I've tried to chop dates up in a chopper and ended up with a dense ball which was difficult to blend with the nuts etc. Going to make this. I'm addicted to nuts and seeds, eat them every day (granola recipe) and am not hungry for hours!
I don't know why so many people get that wrong. Here's another way to explain it; you can lose your wallet but you keep your loose change in your pocket. :-)
@Dalia Colon These should easily last long for a minimum of 2-3 weeks if stored in a refrigerator. you may either wrap it individually with cling wrap or even use an airtight container for the whole batch.
Firstly, loose is the opposite of tight. Lose is the opposite of gain. Secondly, all those fruit and nut calories will not help you lose (not loose) weight unless eaten in very strict moderation
While it is healthier than most store bought ones due to less sugar (still lots of honey aka sugar though), nuts and dried fruit (sugary) still have plenty of calories. It means there is no sugar or jaggery added. Its also supposed to have calories in it so that you feel full until lunch. If you have no oats, dates or dried fruit, then you’re as well having a bowl of plain oatmeal. You enjoy that. 😆
@@TheWendable oatmeal is carb heavy , so when carbs aren't used they turn into ??? SUGAR, so not low calorie and definitely not for weight loss and if you're diabetic even worse.

Great bar but not high in protein This is also loaded in calories which is okay to have 1 or 2 but not more because you will be over your calorie limit
I know that I even personally eat oats but I know that they are high in calories To lose weight you need to be in a deficit Which means eating less that what you burn. To gain weight you eat more than what you burn
This has lots of protein. Seeds, nuts and oats but also high in carbs so not a weight-loss bar just a healthier snack with good proteins. Lots of sugars in the fruit though and the honey too.
You never lose weight with sugar and carb ! Dates and all your dry fruits are full of sugar and your oats is carb ! This is a great snack but not for over weight and diabetic people 🤷🏼♀️
Totally agree with you. This is misleading. Whilst you know the ingredients and they are wholesome it is not a weight loss option, and downright dangerous for diabetics
I guess dates will not spike your sugar. They have low glicemic content, and due to my diagnosed lymphedema, lipedema, for me, is better than honey. Check with your doctor first just in case ❤
50 rs dairy milk has 217k calories😱 And this whole recipe has 197k calories approx which is impossible to eat all in one go. It's the best alternative for chocolates/sweets. Diabetic people should eat in less quantity or take recommendation from their doctor.
This recipe may be healthy, and really looks delicious……however, the oats make this high in carbs, and high carbs will NOT help a person to lose any weight. If you are a normal weight and health conscious, then by all means, eat these bars !
@@marilyncourteau8951 . No, Marilyn, I am not wrong. You see, I am ill with Diabetes. A diabetic always has to eat low carb, to keep the sugar levels down. A healthy person may eat all the high carbs he wants , with no ill effects. But, not a diabetic. I have been a diabetic for 12 years and waaaay back ate what my A.M.A.’s told me to eat. And, of course, I only got worse. It was only after watching videos on the effects of high carbs for a diabetic, that I finally wised up. Now, my Endocrinologist looks very puzzled at me because my A1C is so doggone low and ask…….” What are you DOING ? “ I refuse to tell them, as I sit there grinning like a Cheshire Cat. I am also getting very confused looks from my Hepatologist , who finds that there is no “ fatty liver “ left with my non alcoholic cirrhosis. Again, I refuse to tell them. “ Well, WHATEVER you are doing, KEEP DOING IT ! “. So, my thought, Marilyn Courteau, is ……..no, I won’t be nasty and say what I think of your nasty remark. All I will say is that my diabetes and NA cirrhosis is being turned around in a very healthy way.
@@marilyncourteau8951 . Clearly, you are part of the A.M.A. community , Marilyn, or you wouldn’t be making that statement. That is EXACTLY what my Endocrinologist told me. And I am healthier now by eliminating oats from my diet. Go ahead and follow your A.M.A. Personally, I choose to low low carb. There is no sense in continuing the conversation. I already have my proof in my test results. Have a nice weekend.
I have tried making these bars. And i have always failed😒. My only recommendations is that if u have skills of cooking then only go for it. Otherwise you will end up making something else.
This looks fantastic, however this is loaded with sugar, dried fruit, honey, if you had an inch by inch peice per day that would ok but hardly could be said to lose weight on this mix.

Excellent demonstration..It seems very delicious & scrumptious..I enjoyed it while i watching your video..Keep sharing & growing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

@@hebbars.kitchen hey after making it , we can store it up to how many days ?
@@hebbars.kitchen This isn't a weight loss recipe you idiot.
This looks very very yummy but I don't like the taste of peanut butter. What is the substitute I can use. Thanks.
fine, but speaking from someone who manufactures cereal for grocery, every dried fruit contains 20-30 grams of sugar.
A lot of sugar in one form or another, the honey too makes it extra sweet
@@Iris-lk9ig the oats and dates are also carb heavy , this recipe may be delicious but it's not even close to being "healthy"
Looks amazing...What can i use instead of peanut butter? Plz let me know

Second time making this amazing bars! So so so yummy!!
What is its shelf life in room and refrigirator?
Looks delicious I’m definitely going to try.. all natural sugars and protein from the nuts and fiber from the fruits is better then process foods.
Looks delicious 🤤
Can i freeze these? I would like to double the recipe as you've outlined but likely can't eat them all in 2 weeks. Appreciate your video and any feedback.

@amita gora 🥰
That looks amazing. I'm definitely making this
GOD willing
Hi, this is wonderful, thanks for share.
¿How long I can store them?
@Julia Fernández stays good for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
Great bar but not high in protein
This is also loaded in calories which is okay to have 1 or 2 but not more because you will be over your calorie limit
Oats have significant amount of protein and lit of Gym goers use it
I know that I even personally eat oats but I know that they are high in calories
To lose weight you need to be in a deficit
Which means eating less that what you burn.
To gain weight you eat more than what you burn
Not to mention this is loaded with carbs, which equals sugar… very bad for weight loss
This has lots of protein. Seeds, nuts and oats but also high in carbs so not a weight-loss bar just a healthier snack with good proteins. Lots of sugars in the fruit though and the honey too.
pretty good, but is there some alternative to peanut butter?
Every weight loss foods are very expensive
Can you please give alternative for honey
Nice recipe
Thank you
Saccharin or inulin
I would use agave
u can use maple syrup also instead of honey
I’m going to try this out. Thank you so much
Looks so so delicious and yummy 💖💕

Delicious
Hi Loved it, but can I store them for how many days and is it in the fridge or counter top pls let me know..
@Smitha Franklin stays good for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
I don't have many of these ingredients lol
Market se la sakte hai 🙂
Substitute
Aap hawa lha kar healthy ho jao,
ya fir bajaar jaa kar samaan khareedo
U can substitute it with crushed roasted peanuts, and other dry fruits like raisin walnut etc

Is it possible to put it in the oven for a few minutes to make it crunchy?
So much sugar!
Without sugar
I actually love the recipe but Is it diabetic friendly as date and honey alot? Plz response
Looks absolutely amazing, buying from the grocery store can be quite pricey. How do you store them?
between your teeth...
@@Lauren-vd4qe umnqundu wakho 😁
Looks really good, but this would send my blood sugar through the roof!
No it will not. Dates and honey both are said to regulate blood sugar levels
Remember that these bars have a lot of fiber that reduces blood sugar levels!
I guess dates will not spike your sugar. They have low glicemic content, and due to my diagnosed lymphedema, lipedema, for me, is better than honey. Check with your doctor first just in case ❤
@@yamtabno they will spike them..
50 rs dairy milk has 217k calories😱
And this whole recipe has 197k calories approx which is impossible to eat all in one go.
It's the best alternative for chocolates/sweets.
Diabetic people should eat in less quantity or take recommendation from their doctor.
Really amezing mam. Thanks a lot for shering this .

This recipe may be healthy, and really looks delicious……however, the oats make this high in carbs, and high carbs will NOT help a person to lose any weight. If you are a normal weight and health conscious, then by all means, eat these bars !
Wrong
@@carolcole570 oats help regulate blood sugar thanx to the moderate to high fiber content and lower glycemic index...
@@carolcole570 very good....do what works for you!
thank you …i am not supposed to have peanut butter i put almond butter instead ..it is delicious .
I have tried making these bars. And i have always failed😒. My only recommendations is that if u have skills of cooking then only go for it. Otherwise you will end up making something else.

Can we skip
Refrigeratn ..last step?
Can I use a regular blender for the dates?
Yes, this is a treat and not an energy bar. From their website, (assuming 1 bar) is about 195 cals with 7g of protein, 7g of sugar, and 12g of fat.
😍😍all your recipes are sooo simple...luv it...
Great recipe! What is the shelf life of this bars?
@Craftyña stays good for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
This looks fantastic, however this is loaded with sugar, dried fruit, honey, if you had an inch by inch peice per day that would ok but hardly could be said to lose weight on this mix.
