Do you have a recipe for a baked oatmeal bar? Horses can easily digest raw oats. Humans, not so much.
Rolled oats are a type of lightly processed whole-grain food. Traditionally, they are made from oat groats that have been dehusked and steamed, before being rolled into flat flakes under heavy rollers and then stabilized by being lightly toasted. Rolled oats can be eaten without further heating or cooking.
well that makes a joke of muesli, not being able to eat it raw I mean.
Rolled oats are digestible. I eat them all the time. Lots of people do when they make overnight oats or muesli.
I eat raw oats every morning with a little bit plain almond yoghurt, 1 cut up banana and berries in it. Love it
Toast them. That's what I do.
For information, I have provided this: 1 cup (240 g) peanut butter 100% natural = 1,416 calories. 3/4 cup (255 g) honey = 768 calories. 3 cups (270 g) old fashioned oats = 930 calories. Total Calories: 3,114. 16 servings = 194 calories per serving.
Thank you.
thankyou so much!
Salt 1/2 tsp
So with the salt, it's actually FOUR ingredients, not three.
yikes !
I make something like this all the time, have since around 1984. I also add some finely chopped nuts of any sort, pecans are my favorite - a capful of vanilla. Sometimes I have made some chocolate using powdered cocoa. So many variations to this, but real good all the time as a healthy snack. I don't microwave it though, that takes all the beneficial enzymes out of the honey. I place it on top of a pan with boiling water until it warms up that way. May take a bit longer, but I've spared all the good stuff in the honey that the bee put in there. I use local honey from the bee hives across town. Nothing beats real honey, ever.
Good darts, I'm taking that vapour warming tip if I ever try this recipe. I'm thinking a modest smattering of chopped crystalised ginger to get the dander up.
Wouldn’t your technique still warm the honey and do the same thing?
Karla, just discovered your great tips. I'll be sure not to microwave the honey. Wonder if I'm the only one who didn't
know that tip. Thanks. USA Baby Boomer in Pa.
@@StellarSabSab No, it would just warm the honey, mimicking the natural order of hives' honey. You know?
@@StellarSabSab warming in oven or in a hot water bath is safe. Microwaving Honey, Garlic or meats with nitrates makes them carcinogenic.(risk of causing cancer)
I made this today. First time I added 1/4 cup dates. 2nd time added 1/2 cup dates chopped and 1/2 cup walnuts chopped. Great energy bar. Maybe next time I'll add pumpkin seeds. There's many variations. I've got maple syrup as well. Thanks for recipe!
I had a teacher that made these and would bring them in every once in awhile. I thought they were The Best Thing Ever!!! ❤️
I made these last week, but I also added a thin layer of chocolate ganache over top before chilling for 2 hours. Made the most delicious granola bars ever! I'll bake some more tomorrow.
Hahahaha I don't know why but I did the same and the chocolate does make the bars even better
@@georgem2456 Chocolate tends to do that a lot. 😋
@@georgem2456 samee
Yeah I added a dollup of caviar magnefiece
Spot on- just made these today- added a few raisins and chocolate chips (forgot the sunflower seeds I had left) Absolutely delicious!
Same. I added Dates!! Great and easy recipe.
Sound really testy healthy snack.
I can watch this over and over again. The music is so calming
Thanks! I made it just peanut butter, muesli, honey, pinch of salt and melted dark chocolate on top of it. I just freeze it for 30 minutes. Yum!
Being diabetic, I substituted Sugar Free pancake syrup for the honey, and it turned out great.
I might try that myself. To lesson the sugar intake for my diet
Apparently bees are fed on sugar.
i was about to do this too, and i was happy to see someone had tried it and it turned out. i might add some chopped as well.
Did you use 3/4 C of the syrup? My partner is diabetic so I’d love to make these for him!
@@Vintagecharm57 Equal substitution.
Very good and very tasty and delicious Recipe big like thanks for sharing 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏽💐💐💐💐
I'm a competitive cyclist and love to make these for my long training rides. I use chunky peanut butter in mine. They're healthier and taste way better than energy bars.
Yeah I was wondering of chunky peanut butter would work as well. Good to know.
I Love Beats
How many carbs per hour each slice roughly work out to be?
I skipped the heating process and just mixed everything together. Turned out fine!
That instrumental is a beast! One of the main reasons I come back.
Great oatmeal bars and interesting video style😊👍👍👍
Just made them today and I'm in love. Many thanks for sharing
Lovely snack I’ll definitely try this. Thank you very much
Hi, I was looking for no-bake oat bar recipe and foubd this video. So I tried to re-make with oat flakes, added cashew and choco cips. The taste was good. I never expected that homemade oat bar can be that delicous. Thank you.💖
Oh wowww easy recipe yet so yummylicious...magaya one day chef ha...salamat sa pag share...ang sasarap ng mga luto mo...easy recipe pa...God bless
Yum! Great Yum! 😋 Love this recipe, just like it is!
Looks absolutely gorgeous. I love these health bars anyway.!
This recipe, was quite easy! I needed something else to snack on besides chips! I had all of the ingredients to make it. I added some vanilla extract and pecans to it! Thank you so much because; they are delicious! 🤗
These look delicious! Im impressed that you cut them so evenly by starting on an end. I have to start i n the middle and keep dividing it by half to get anything close to uniform. Good job, I'm impressed!
I drizzled 8 oz melted semi sweet chocolate over the top before refrigerating and added 1/3 cup peanuts to the batter. It was delicious, I suggest trying it this way
That sounds sweeter with a better texture. Good advice!
Oats, honey, crunchy peanut butter, chopped Majool dates are my favourite energy bars for cycling!
Thank you for sharing this recipe. I'll need to try it soon. 😋😋😋
Thank you for posting this.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Yum.... thanks for sharing your recipe 🙂
Omg this recipe is so simple, yet so delicious! I put honey and peanut butter in a double boiler and added some THC oil for edibles. 😋
These granola bars ain't shi--
The THC is a great tip.
Wow yummy oatmeal bars
This looks FANTASTIC!
This recipe had me at 0:08...any recipes with generous amount of peanut butter 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Just tried the recipe and am surpised how tasty it really is and so fast done as well. I don't own a microwave yet but easily melted my peanutbutter with the white honey in a small pot on the stove. Was a very smooth experience and very easy to clean up afterwards. I mixed my fresh oats with some nut crunch and the melted paste in an extra bowl and left it overnight in the fridge as per recipe. Just recommended this recipe to my family and friends. This is a recipe I would even recommend for the kid's lunchbox - love it❣️
That is where I first had this recipe from they used to sell it in the school cafeteria. This was in the sixties and seventies and they did the chocolate version✌️
New subscriber as of tonight!
Thank you so much for this recipe! I’m so looking forward to trying it this weekend for my family. And thank you for getting right to the recipe and (no talking & explaining) ❤love love love this video, the peanut butter bars look delicious.
Thanks for uploading video. I’ll be trying this tomorrow.
this looks incredible!!
Cannot wait to make these! So much better than the processed crap, thank youuuuuu
Great recipe. I've made it 3 times already. I toast my oats in a pan first which gives great flavour and I stir I. Dried chopped banana
Yum! ☕ Going to make those today!
Thank you!! Can’t wait to make these!!
Nice simple & very good. I would like to add other things i.e. sunflower seeds, almond slices, chocolate chips, so many options.. Thanks for the quick no bake receipe!!
How muchof each ingred?
For healthier recipe, can minus the sugar.
I would use honey or dates

Hi. I just made this a couple days ago and fell in love with it! I couldn't get enough. Thanks for sharing.
I am going to try this, thanks!
Making these today for lunches!!!
Thank you soooo much for this delicious recipe 👍👍👍

My goodness the simplicity of goodness! I'm going to melt dark choc on mine though in a double boiler. I'll also add chia seeds, walnuts, and dried cranberries. Tysmfs!
Thanks for the oat muffins recipe. Tried it and it was wow!!. The muffins came out with crispy tops, moist inside with a very fruity taste.
Ммм вкусняшечки , очень понравились , большое спасибо 🤩🤩🤩🍀🍀🍀💐💐💐
I love the balance between asmr sounds and the music
Thank You for an easier and healthier way 😊
I will be taking one with me to the gym to keep my energy up :)!
As someone else said, I would avoid heating up the honey. All I did was microwave the peanut butter until runny then stirred the honey into it, then mixed it all together. Not only did they turn out good - they turned out addicting. Thank you for sharing this recipe :)
Someone else mentioned that they just mixed up altogether with no heat at all - I can see that working too. I say experiment and do whatever you want - it's your kitchen and experiments often lead to even greater things!
* *addicTIVE*
"addicting" isn't a word
@@soulbot119 While it may not be a word, plenty of people use the word addicting in natural speech. It's similar to how a lot of people in the world use words or slang that may not be a real word in the dictionary.
Secondly, is that really the only thing you took from my comment? An obscure typo? Not how I shared my experience and tips for the recipe and whatnot?
I made these today and just tried them they are awesome will definitely be making them again. Thank you for an easy recipe!!!!!.
Just took mine out of the freezer after 1 hour, delicious! Thank you ❤
My 11 year made these today and her comment was "It tastes delicious and is easy to travel with." I (mom) love how nutritious, filling, easy and how cost effective they are to make. Thanks for this recipe
smart kid
I’ve seen many smart kids turn into idiots as teenagers though. im not exaggerating. Some people I knew were capable of more intelligent conversation as children than they are as teenagers. For some reason, things like their mental processing speed. ability to learn, conversational skills peaked at the age of 11 and they went downhill since then.
Im not sure why Im telling you this. I guess I just want you to ensure your child doesn’t turn into a human vegetable too. Its a sad sight when it does happen.
Great as lactation cookies too. I'll just add some flaxseed to the recipe 😋
Oh I will definitely be trying these. Thank you 💖
Looks Delicious! Thanks!😇
Just made these. Yum! 😋 Although it does feel like a treat because it’s way too sweet for me. Anyway, thanks for the recipe! 💕
I tried to make it...turns out that it's delicious 👍🏻❤
Came out great! Thanks.
These were so good thanks for the recipe
These would work well on a long run. I might add raisins...flaxseed might be a good add, too. Could even get a bit more decadent and add chocolate chips!
Great idea I'm thinking to add flaxseed meal, hemp seeds and possibly chia seeds..step up the nutrition content...
Amazing!
Nice one wow
Love this, I think my kids will love this with the peanutbutter, thanks!
This recipe is so amazing. I made this today and I'm shocked with how amazing the texture is and how tasty it is. I've tried a few oat bars recipes and all of them have gone wrong but this one is 5 ⭐ for sure. I added just a little bit of chocolate chips and it was a great combination!!
Next time I'll try with a little bit less honey because they turned out very sweet.
Thank you so much for this recipe!!
how much honey did he add
@@TheRandie59 3/4 cup, or 255g of honey in the original recipe featured in this attached video. The measurements go by pretty fast, but they’re located in the bottom left corner of the screen, I had to rewind several times to catch it.
@@valerief1231 The ingredients are also listed in the video's info box.
It was very nice . I used apple sauce to cut down sugar
These are so good I make them a few times a week sometimes I add chocolate chips as well but there are a great snack before hitting the gym thank you so much for the recipe
Yummy, I've made these and added crushed pecans! Love them, and they are delicious! Thanks.. 😋 ❤️
Mouth watering and simple. (Not me! The food!) Thank you!
🤣🤣
I am definitely going make these. How easy. More oatmeal recipes include.
Thank you! glad you liked them
Very easy to prepare
Love it ❤
Years ago I watched a show on tv and I made energy bar from oats. But this is easier than that.
Thanks for sharing.
Great recipe idea! On its own or customizing to personal preferences. Thanks for sharing this! Happy New Year to you!
thank you happy new year
I do something similar to this but I blend the oats until they're as fine as my old blender will get them. Add in some protein powder, peanut butter, honey and sometimes (always) some chocolate chips.
Great idea! Will make this tomorrow 😃 I don’t use the microwave so I will have to heat the peanut butter on stove top
I made these and yes they were the bomb. making some now. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice recipe chef 👍👌👏. Thank you for your 🌞😎. Be careful you can get addicted to this oatmeal bars 😋🌹
Yummy.
I really really love ❤️ the look of these gorgeous oat bars. Great 👍 too, for no cooking. Going to make these
I was starving 1AM🤣... Thank you for this. I made this in less than 5 minutes. It tastes like Mars chocolate bar. I did not microwave as i don,t have one but i put a cup in an electric kettle and it melted the peanut in seconds😀. I am so happy. Now my starvation can relax🤣
Good for fast breakfast on the move and emergency snacks through the day.
Thank you for this recipe 😊 I recently made one very similar but I baked it.
How long did you bake it for?
I did the recipe as demonstrated. Very good, taste is more peanut butter than anything else.
Thanks a lot. I am from a very poor 3rd world(India) and I couldn't afford that much butter and honey to use in one dish. Thanks for telling me the tastw
Looks delicious!!!
That's 4 ingredients. Still looks good though and I'm gonna make them. Also, I like how people are asking if they can substitute this or add in that, as if they need permission. Honestly, what are you going to do if the author says "No, you may not substitute maple syrup if you're a vegan," or "You may not add dried cranberries." It's your kitchen, do whatever you want!
Just showing off / virtue signaling they're "special" vegans, runners, or gymmers... and / or too important to read the prior answers to their own question.
😁😁😆😆🤣
its got to do with if the substitutes will affect the product i think and not the nonsense you think
They're asking if it works, not whether it will tickle the author's feelings. Attitudes like your are exactly why men live shorter on average, Eric; learn to cook by the book 😂
Eric: May I /Can I substitute rolled oats for the old fashioned oats?
One that I will try…..no baking too. Thanks, looks simple to make but mouth-watering too.
@sissn:good morning friend how are you and how is your night?
Success! Good recipe. Thanks. 😋😋

After reading comments decided I NEED to make these for my son. Who eats healthy granola bars. And spends too much $ for them. He also loves peanut butter. I can't go wrong, with this easy recipe. I look forward to adding different, things in that he'll enjoy. Mixing it up. Thank You.
Your recipe may be good, but your music is annoying and we don’t need to see the drawn out mixing….left before it ended!

Awesome! Ty!

Nothing like a glob of peanut butter with oats in it 😋
Yummy 👍😋
Hi dear how are you doing over there ?
